Input method problem - no keyboard change - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hello, it's my first post, I would like just to say hello.
I've searched forum but I haven't found solution to my problem. As said in the title, I cant change text input method. Whatever I choose, the option comes back to full qwerty mode. Am I doing something wrong? Or should I take some additional steps to get it working?
Regards, fck.

Input methods...
How are you trying to change the input methods? I may be missing the obvious, or you may be, so we'll start at the top.
Open up any app where you can access the SIP's (soft input panels)... try Word or Notes. Tap the keyboard icon at the bottom centre of the screen, now tap the tiny arrow to the right of the icon and choose an option here.
Let me know what this does

Ah! Thank you very much! It does work. I was changing it in settings/input/then chosen keyboard. However, it still doesn't work for me to change input method from settings tab. Why? The same problem occurred on stock t-mobile rom and so as on custom one..

How to change the keyboard 'Repeat delay' setting?

Sorry for the newbie question, but I cannot find where to change that.
I'm not sure if it is because I installed a new rom, but usually when I'm typing something, the key pressed appears twice.
I would like to change the 'Repeat delay' setting just in case that's the problem, but I cannot find it.
Thanks
It's in Settings-Personal-Buttons-Up/down control
Thanks RPG0.

Qwerty Keyboard Issue

I am facing few issues with my Qwerty Keyboard :-
1. Most application i.e:- sms, word, phatnotes, etc doensn't allow me to change keyboard type. Even when I change the keyboard type under setting, keyboard, it still goes back to the previous keyboard type using. Confuse!!
2. How do I disable auto word suggestion while typing? I tries changing the setting under option but it still does word suggestion
3. My Qwerty keyboard only suggest words after the 3rd character keyed in but I have set to after 1 letter.. weird..
4. I have tick add space after word but Qwerty still do not add the space for me.. I have to always tab on the space.. any idea?
Hope someone can give me some solutions to the above.. thanks in advance.. cheers!

Can't change input method

I'm having this annoying problem lately. I can't change the active SIP anymore. It used to work (press on the small triangle next to the SIP show/hide icon), but now I press it and no selection comes up. It's really frustrating.
I can only change the default SIP by altering the registry, but then I have to reboot, so I don't like this approach.
Has anybody else experienced this?
Yes I have this problem. Just go into the help menu on the start tab and there will be the little keyboard on the bottom right this one seems to work on my Diamond but nowhere else.

WM6.5: Change t9 Input Language?

Hi all,
I've been using WM6.1 for a while now, and constantly switch between T9 Dutch and English. I've had many ROM's and after installing the "T9 14 Languages Update.cab" that's been hanging around these forums I always got access to different t9 languages via the little white triangle next to the keyboard icon when inputting text: fast and easy switching.
Now I've tried various WM6.5 rom's and while the T9 language cab installs fine, I don't know where to switch the language... It's not in the usual place, nor can I find it anywhere else.
Has anyone sucesfully managed to get this going? I'm using the Deeplightning ROM at the moment.
Thanks.
Anyone know anything about this?
I just go to options.
there you see input method (and your chosen one)
beneath that is another options button
and under there I can set the language.
make sure you have multiple languages installed, otherwise you don't see that 2nd options button

If I'm writing a message, and I tap the small white triangle, then go to options I only see input method. If I then g oto the second options tab at the bottom, I can only see options for 'voice recording format', zoom defaults, and some tick boxes. No language settings.

[Q] Keyboard customization?

I've got a Sprint HTC One (M8) running BadSeed's stock rooted 1.54.651.8...
I have 2 issues with the keyboard:
1. For apps that want numeric input, the keypad has no decimal-point, just 0-9, back and enter.
I ran into this using the fuelly app, which is just a front-end for the website m.fuelly.com.
Maybe they're marking the field as wanting the wrong numeric type - I'm not sure, but it worked with my Evo 4g LTE.
2. So I installed an alternate keyboard app (smart keyboard), but there doesn't seem to be a way to change the input method anymore.
Long-press in an input field doesn't do it, and neither is there a keyboard icon in the statusbar while doing input as some have suggested.
Does anybody else have these problems, and if so, know any solutions?
Ah - found a workaround to #1...
Accidentally stumbled across the fact that when a keyboard is up, you can swipe the whole thing left or right to get alternate layouts. (Who knew?)
Still don't know how to switch to a 3rd-party keyboard though, but for now I no longer need to.
