Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone could possibly..suggest what my problem could be .. and what replacement part i should get.. ok my tilt's lcd screen is non responsive .. it only responds if i hold down on the left soft key..then im able to use the touchscreen.. so im wondering is it the digitizer that needs replacing ? the lcd screen ? the lcd main flex cable ? or something else ? ...i have touchflo and a custom rom installed..but i dont think its a software issue..because windows align screen..doesnt work..(only if i hold down the left soft key) so im guessing its definately a hardware replacement problem..any help or suggestions would be much appreciated thankss..

no 1 ? has any ideas? i replaced the touchscreen..and it still has the same problem...i also did a hard reset..and i cant get past the windows setup screen....

Sounds like a connector issue to me - maybe where the flexi connects from the screen, but I'm no expert on that.
As far as bypassing the Windows calibration screen on setup goes, all you need to do is put an empty file on the root of your sd card and call it welcome.not - then when you do a reset it won't go through the calibration. You can always do it manually later (by pressing the centre button in the d-pad and pressing the Internet Explorer button!).

I'm stuck at the "Tap the screen to set up your Windows Mobile-based device." The screen on my HTC 8125 has been acting flakey... working sometimes, but mostly not. A friend thought he would help out, and thought hard reseting the device might help. Now I'm stuck at the tap this screen message, only the touch screen isn't working and is not accepting the tapping. Am I completely outta luck without a phone now?? At least before I could make and answer phone calls. Now, NOTHING. Just this screen. IF there is any way around this that anyone knows of, PLEASE let me know!!

maybe the rom Try a new again instead the one you have
for skip this screen alignment try to search on the forum there are many ways
I simply conect it to activesync even if it is stucked at this screen it syncs with your pc via activesync... then go to explore...Windows folder.... startup... and delete the file called welcome.lnk then softreset.
Yeah my wizard is stuck to @ tab the screen etc.
I can't connect to activesync becuase activesync does not detect the phone.

Try to replace a new battery, i have the same problem be4. And i discovered the battery is bulked. So I go to buy a new one, and problem is gone now.
still stuck
I have the same problem, i tried looking through explorer but i couldnt find the file to delete so that i could bypass this startup. If anyone figured anything out let me know please.

1. Do a soft reset. (small hole on the right side)
2. When screen is black hold camera button, this will boot into bootloader
3. Connect USB cable (USB will show over left softkey)
4. Try to flash a new ROM.
I did this process a few times with different roms.. the best I had was using the HardSPL process, and then the NBD_v8.3_8MB rom.
Hi everyone,
My HTC Touch Diamond phone appears to be stuck on the TouchFlo screen. I can use the hard-buttons to move around the screen and do the essentials, but I somehow cannot use the touch-screen at all.
Strange thing however is that while I am in certain screens (ie: Call History), whenever I touch the screen, I can see the OK button in the top-right corner show up and go away whenever I remove my finger from the screen.
I've attempted several soft resets and removed the battery for a few minutes, yet still at no avail. Anyone have a clue what could be wrong? I am desperate and don't want to do a hard-reset and lose all my data and settings.
Looking forward to your suggestions!

My personal thought on it is that you probably just need to recalibrate your screen... but I can not figure out a way to get to that option without using the screen. If there was a start button it would be easy, but since we have a sleek phone it doesn't have one.

It may or may not help but a shortcut to align screen is to hold Enter/Action and press Volume Up.
I only know this because my friend is looking for a way to disable this combo for gaming purposes.
The symptoms sounds like you have installed SensorLock.
When i have it activated i can press the hardbuttons and the upper right corner of the screen.
Try flip your phone and see if it unlocks?
All great suggestions guys! Especially the Enter + VolUp was the one I wouldve wanted to try! In the end, I decided to go to HTC Support and they checked the device. Turned out it was a hardware problem: the connector was loose! After pressing a bit around the lower edge of the screen, the connector worked properly again!

ive a AT&T Tilt (Kaiser 100). so ive flashed my kaiser loads of times no problem was running great until now when i unlocked it the PPT button and call program open up themselves and some ramdon keys such as E,D,C,etc are pressed!!
also the slide keypad stops responding but the lights are still on for it. the navigational buttons on screen side stop working and the start menu opens up by pressing the button in the middle of navigational buttons!! rest of the keys dont work. power and camera keys still work!
i gave my phone a rest for 4 hours and when i turned it on it started working fine and then again after 5 minutes of use same problem. sometimes in the middle of use it automatically starts working again fine and then same problem comes and this keeps going on!!!
one of my workers at the office mishandled my phone (i think) he couldn't figure out how to slide open the phone and tried everything
so i cant rule out if its hardware or software problem???
please help!!
Hard reset your device and see if that solves the problem.

Because sometimes...well most of the times, with a help thread request like yours are solved with a hard reset . Going by the book...(oohh and it was late last night by the way )
On another note, seems like your friend did mess some of your keys and probably hardware issue. Try and mess with some keys and see if they are not stuck.
In most situations it quicker and easier to reset the phone. Just thnk about it, you don't have the original OS to repair with and you don't really have a method of sending commands to the phone.

i`ve bought the htc diamond2 since a week
and suddenly when i turned it off and then turned it on
the orange windows picture freez and even the power button don`t work any more so i have 2 press the red button thats inside the stylus or take off the battery
but the second time when i turned it on i window shows and tell me that there`s something in the internal folder or something
and i tried so hard with it but nothing works but pllllllllllllllllllllllllz help me

If soft reset doesn't work, you must make a hard reset.

Press the red button while holding down both Volume Keys until the white screen appears and follow the prompts. You will lose all of your data.

I have just received a Topaz. and really surprized coz the backlight is dead, Camera shows Black Screen Only, and... the most surprized thing is the imei number is screwed...
guys, i really need your help. Im at the airport and during security checkup my x1 droppend on the floor. Now it starts, but screen is black - no SE logo, no win logo. Only backlight. However, i can hear the volume up and down sounds. I really need my phone for this trip, is there anyway to fix it?

If the LCD itself is undamaged, You need to check the integrity of the flex connector to the mainboard, it is possible it disconnected during the drop. However, my latest customer with X1 with black LCD after drop needed the full flex replacement.

My X1 screen started to be non responsive all of a sudden then i tried to reset it by both pressing the power button and the reset button at the back. Only to realise that the screen wont switch on anymore. pls help
