My htc diamond was locked on ORANGE UK, SO, i came onto this site and flashed it with a new rom using olinex 1.40 hardspl. I also flashed a new radio rom 1.00.25.05. I've just recently updated it with the new 2.03 rom wwe. But it was ever since i first flashed the rom that i noticed everything like gprs, mms, wap etc didn't work. I've since been using a O2 simcard. I have tried inputting the O2 settings but it doesn't dial out, or so it says. I was just wondering, does it have anything to do with the radio? Or is it a hardware fault...i can't get my head around it.
Download and install this cab file from your phone and restart.

That file would be kind of useless since i am using an O2 simcard atm. I've unlocked the phone so that it can be used on any network, but for some reason i cannot connect to GPRS, MMS or WAP. it says it cannot dial out when all the settings are correct. I've even downloaded and installed the settings from the O2 cab file from this forum but it still doesn't work.
Right now i have the 2.03 rom flashed XBMOD.

Which made me presume you wanted the settings for the Orange network.
Although there should be no problem with the radio you are using, XBmod suggests in his post using radio 1.09.25.23.
Have you tried changing the radio?
Radio Roms can be flashed from the device if renamed to DIAMIMG.nbh and you quickly hold down the "down volume key" and the <-- Back button when switching on the device.

Yah, i've just changed the radio to .23 but still nothing. I just can't get the thing to dial out! Is there a setting that i need to check to see if it's enabled or not? =s Its jsut annoying that i can't send MMS or use GPRS on the go.
At least you can use the phone! My problem is the opposite...unlocked using the Olinex method...I can use GPRS MMS etc, but I can't reciever any calls or SMS...
I'm on 3 in Australia, so while we're on different continents & our problems are almost oppposite...I feel ur pain!
i seem to be in the same boat.
purchased diamond (orange branded) on ebay, phone unlocked to work with vodafone ireland. no roms flashed or anything else.
settings got for vodfone isp & live! i have tried both but to no avail. when i try to go on the internet via opera or ie i get a proxy server error on opera and on ie 'the page cannot be displayed or downloaded because the connection was lost etc......'
i have noticed one thing though, on the modem settings when i input the username/password as advised by vodafone, when i go back in to check these settings there are more than the normal amount of * which would equate to the password - dont know if that even makes a difference.
does anyone have any idea

Are you saying that you upgraded to the offical TMobile ROM? If this is the case then I think that you will need to input the GPRS settings manually.

i did, but it can not connect to the access point.
If you are in Egypt as your profile suggests why don't you upgrade to the latest ROM that your carrier provides.
Carriers in egypt do not provide any roms, so i have to use only the roms come with the device from imate, but also i need to try the ad2p support and other features with the 2.26 rom.
Finally it works today without anyproblems, it was an isp problem yesterday.
As per title.
If the answer is yes can you please describe me how to do it, because I have tried everything and I am becoming frustrated.
I have tried many different radio and windows roms. I should mention that I have used sim unlocker by Olipro.

yes i am using three uk on my diamond actually i have a o2 ignito i put the official 193 rom from htc uk and to do that make sure you hard spl and unlock CID etc.3 uk works great use opera and bookmark http://mobile.three.co.uk use this as your homepage all the three services work fine dont worry about three settings if you have the htc official rom it uses the network wizzard to configure your settings automaticly good luck.

I was using 3 UK with my Trinity before and everything was fine. Now, no matter which rom I install it just doesn't see my sim card. I cannot connect to the network. If I use a T-Mobile or Virgin sim card everything works fine. Should I run unlocker every time I install a new rom or radio version?
no you only need to run once try and run unlocker again and go to your phone settings on phone and make sure that the phone is set on utms or auto maybe you have it set to gsm try that and get back to me

i would recoment to try another 3g sim in your phone sounds like you got a bad sim there if that doesnt work you may have a problem with your radio.

The thing is that I try the same sim in my HTC Trinity and it works absolutely fine. I tried hard resetting but no result either. I'll try now installing radio 1.25.03 from HTC to see what happens.

ok i think i know your problem the unlocker you have used has not unlocked the 3g band so i can send you the wright unlocker do you have a email add i can send it to you when you get it follow the steps 1 2 3 and your done read the instructions carfully and goodluck and finally i recomend you flash to the latest htc official rom i sent you the link .

yes the way to check your hard spl is hold down the side volume button down button whilst pressing the reset button by the stylus at the same time when it reboots whatch out for the info on the top left it will say hard spl with v number

Ok, bought a TYTN II off ebay some months ago now from a Hong Kong dealer (that'll learn me) and it seems to not work with the 3G network here in Australia. The phone is always EDGE roaming and whenever it switches to 3G I can't send or receive SMS messages.
I've done some reading around and found that maybe I need to flash the ROM of the phone to an Australian one so that the phone will work properly. I found a thread on Whirlpool and someone there posted a link to this ROM for another user:

You're more than likely having issues with the radio that came with the phone. Go to the ROM development forum, read how to unlock, install HardSPL, etc.. and then choose either one of the ROMs that come with a new radio available: NATF, Hyperdragon, Dutty's, etc... or look at one of the threads that show how to install a new radio. I'm not going to make any ROM recommendations, because it's really a matter of personal taste and how the ROM feels to you. For me personally, I've settled on T.i.R vk8 WWE build 19971. And I have radio version 1.58.25.17.

To help you with your prob, you'll have to signup and login to HTC E-Club for Australia, then download and flash the latest 3 ROM. Its the only way to ensure you have the correct inbuilt three network settings, there was a cab floating around a while back but it didn't include planet3 connectivity - only mobile internet.

I found the ROM development page and the list of radios that relate to the specific ROM's match the ones I already have (note: I already flashed my phone using the one in the link I provided in my first post).
I went and registered for HTC E-Club and went to download the WM6.1 ROM u mentioned Sanchez and when I entered the Serial Number it says the ROM is unsuitable for my phone. Is this because it is NOT an Australian phone?
Would this ROM actually work on my phone and would I be able to get a copy of it from somewhere else?
yeah, its not the actual ROM so much as the stuff Three bundle within that you need.
I'm aka Dr.Nerdlinger on whirlpool, a guy I recommended this to didn't have any problems, seemed to make his US Tilt into an Aussie Three TyTnII.. Havent tried it myself as Im already three branded.

I assume you have run the Connection Setup wizard (Settings > Connections > Connection Setup?
Have you tried to manually enter 3's settings?

Ok seems this is not gonna work. I've done some reading and apparently the board it to blame for my phone not working properly. Since it was an eBay job (but from a company) I can still get warranty but I have to send overseas to HK.
What do people think, I can buy a new TytnII for $659 and when the old one comes back from warranty I can sell it. Would the new one (if I bought from Australian store) work on 3G?

Try this new official 3.34.721.2 WWE HTC rom, with 1.70 radio.
Download it, plug your activesync cable in, run the exe file you downloaded - after 20 mins or so, you should have the latest ROM, with built in Aus Three Network detection (assuming you have a legal 3 sim-card)
(ps. it may seem like its stalled while flashing, but just give it time)

After Flashing a ROM you should always hard reset the device as well. After all this is done, what versions of the following are showing as being installed: ROM, Radio, SPL (can find the last one in the tri colour boot screen - read the wiki if you need to know how to get to the boot screen)? If all of this is showing correctly and you're still having problems then it's probably something like the sim (just any old sim won't do and it needs to be compatible with the phone). You could try another if you have a spare. When you switched it on, after a minute or so did you get a message popping up asking if you wanted to automatically configure the phone for your networks settings?

I have a problem with my HTC Diamond. It was working very good with a cooking rom but after upgrade with the new original version from HTC don´t work GPRS connection.
I tested first with hard reset and second ,changing differents radios and spl in the way to found an answer for my problem but I didn´t found it.
I was checking the connection data from Orange calling him and calling HTC support directly. I thinked that it was wrong but I saw all was correct.
I created the connection manually first but it didn't work. After it, I erased all the connection, then I did a hard-reset and finally I created a new connection with automatically HTC Connection setup chosing Spain-Orange, but it did´t work either.
I was looking for this problem in the forum and I tested to flash again the mobile with the update 2.03 rom and after it made a hard-spl and write another radio without success.
I tryed too with Wifi Profiles cab like I read in another thread without success either.
I have not installed any program like "nodata" to cut the gprs connection.
I get always the same pop-up. "..... can't connect... unkown reason....."
Please Is there any way to fix it???.

I had exactly the same problem immediately after upgrading to the 2.03 rom, it made me crazy I tried everything, I even thought having disabled gprs with no-data the day before the upgrade screwed something up but in the end I called my provider (Telia-Sweden) and they re-activated the gprs data account and it's been working fine since then

Thanks owziee for your quickly answer, . I was speaking with Orange to re-activated the data service and they did it. Before it I went to an Orange distribuitor shop to upgrade my sim-card for if it could be an incompatibilty between the phone with the card
New sim-card. New re-activated service and it still not working.
HTC told me that it could be by a corrupted data in the WM and they think it can be fixed flashing again the phone to update it in a service center.
I was thinking about it and sincerelly I have a dude for if I have used the correct spl and radio flashing the phone.
I made hard-spl sometimes. I used differents files but always unsigned spl.
At this moment I am trying "1.93 signed" without success.
The file I use to update the phone is:

I've flashed all kinds of custom roms after installing HSPL(Energy;4-2/7-2, TouchX, Valkyrie Firestorm, Cristian and others) and also have flashed my Xperia1 with different radio's (also the latest 1.14.55.25 AND installed rilphone). I know I'm doing it right because this is not my first time flashing, but my internet connection stays "dead". I've manually changed the settings to the right ones, softreset.. still no luck. With some roms I do see in CommManager that I'm connected, but when I try to update the weathertab or browse Opera I don't have a working connection. When I flashed it back to the latest stock rom the device still can't get a connection. Does anyone experienced this type of problem and if so, is there a known fix for this? Thnx in advance!
My friend had a similar problem, he was using double SIM card (= he had two sim's in one phone number). Problem got solved when he changed to one sim operator.
With almost all of the roms you have used I had an 3G internet connection when I used the roms.

Try your sim in another phone, see if it can get a GPRS attach. If it can't, then some scrub at your operator might have removed the codes on your account.
I´m having the exact same problem! Difference is my internet connection is sometimes working for 20 seconds or so...
Have you found any solution? I´m going to try talking to my operator again...

My phone connects to GPRS/EDGE and connection manager says that data connection is active but when i open IE,Opera,Google Maps or any other network application then it says "server not found" or "connection error" or something similar.
But all worked fine with default WM6.1 ROM.

For me it´s not working when I go back to original ROM... Have you tried flashing original ROM since your problems started?

I hard SPL and flashed the stick ROM. Then Hard SPL again and flashed Untamed 1.3 and it's working like a charm...no issue (running from 2days now)

My area only has Edge. But 30 miles north of me where my brother works T-Mobile supports 3G.

I flashed the stock ROM (Image and then SPL)...tried to flash ROM's without SPL again and phone wasn't detecting the image file on uSD card...did Hard SPL again and worked perfectly...that's the reason!

Maybe I´ll try to go back to stock SPL and then Hard SPL and see if it works.
Or maybe I´ll just send it in and hope thr warranty claim works...

I'm not on T-Mobile.
When i bought this phone, everything was working fine, then i installed hard spl and put custom rom and after that internet connection doesn't work. It worked with stock rom and automatic settings but now doesn't, and i even tried entering all settings manually but no luck. Phone connects to data connection but there is no activity on that connection (0 bytes sent/ 0bytes received) no matter what i do, nothing goes through.

My Xperia X1 supports and works fine with T-Mobile 3G. So doesn't support doesn't compute...

I solved my problem: my data connection need proxy server to connect to internet but i just removed that checkbox from connection proxy settings and now data connection works
