have a look at this thread:

You can also try this attachment: http://rapidshare.com/files/206830402/TYTN-II-Hebrew.zip.html
I would recommend backing up your device first as language software can cause problems.

Notification when SMS [not mms] is sent...now gone [not request message delivery]
Had it before flashing to latest genuine Hong Kong rom...but now gone...not in notifications as a setting....any ideas please
Yes me too, I have flashed mine with a few different roms and I have never had it make a sound, I don't need it really but it is just peace of mind when it makes a sound that the SMS is send especially considering it is a phone running a Microsoft operating system... you never really know if everything works as you expect.
what do you need it for? if the SMS is not sent, you get an error message...
Believe me - for years I was used to getting those messages, but then i tried disabling them, a wow, so much better.
If you go to http://duttythroy.net/index.php
and download Diamond_Tweak_0.2_EN.cab
this has an option to turn sms sent notifications on ....
so people have been moaning for years about this error message, indeed it seems to have been one of the most hated parts of Windows mobile, and now that HTC finally get rid of it, people want it back.
Don't take this personally, but FFS!
**Bangs head against wall!**
I'm glad i'm getting out of technical support!
But yeah, if you want it back (for whatever reason) you can also use Schaps advanced config tool (Search, search and search again) to put it back.
Thanks
Thanks...much appreciated
hey
used the cab to turn back on my notifications - but dont seem to be able to get rid of the annoying sound that accompanies it. Its not listed in the sounds/notifications settings.
Im wondering of there s a simple reg hack to disable the noise.
cheers
Hello everyone. I've read the classic japanese threads by Ofiach, Larsuck, etc.
I've read multiple Japanese input threads for the last year or so and I cannot find a solution to my problem
Current issue is japanese text will not display on incoming mms/sms. My emails are fine, be it gmail, yahoo, etc.
Currently I'm using a Tilt Stock Rom, WM6, Arcsoft 5.0.17(I've tried different ones)
I've read the classic japanese threads by Ofiach, Larsuck, etc.
I've changed registry values...nothing. It once worked where my mms where coming in full blown japanese no problem...
If anyone can help me out, it would be a HUGE help
I don't mind attempting to reimburse anyone for their help
I have my region set to Japan
I have a picture of my email displaying things fine and
I'm displaying what I see when I attempt to open a Japanese mms. I attempt to open "Ms. Yoko" mms and I get gibberish. The improperly coded message.
I'm not sure if I'm leaving any necessary information out
If so, let me know please.
Two things I can think of:
First, get Schap's Advanced Config and make sure you have checked the option that says "Support Unicode Messages" or something like that. You want to allow unicode.
Second, are you in Japan, or abroad? If the latter, then you might be screwed. Your phone obviously understands and is able to decode Japanese, but the servers in between your phone and your email might not be set to decode it. If this is the case then there isn't much you can do I think.
Hey Larsuck, I really appreciate your response.
Schnaps Advance config is good tool...thanks but unfortunately no luck with it.
I am between ATT/Softbank but recently I've been in the US on ATT and having such problems.
I guess its the server. ATT's server doesn't seem to use unicode. I say this because I can sms/mms myself and 日本語 is clear. めっちゃさやく!
Does it have anything to do with the registry? Like the 'accept charset' ? I thought maybe that could play a part.

Sorry I couldn't help you out. If it is AT&T's servers then there is really nothing anyone can do I think. Though you might call them and ask.
As far as messing around in the registry... I wouldn't advise it. If you do go digging around, make sure you have a good backup program and use it frequently. I can't count how many times I have messed up a perfectly good setup by trying to tweak things I didn't fully understand.
Hey guys, I have the official ROM from HTC for my Fuze, and I'm scared to flash a new rom cause I'm afraid I'll brick my phone.
That being said, my question is this: With the rom update, I can no longer send texts to more than one person at a time. I'm wondering if there's a program I can install (that doesn't require a register edit cause I'm scared to mess something up there too) that can allow me to send group messages again.
Thanks for any help.
have you tried "SMSer 1.0"? you can get it at 1800pocketpc or google search it. i haven't tried it but it should work and should be free
I use a bit of freeware called Moblmsg. it allows you to create groups and send texts to groups. Think i got it from freeware pocketpc site.
the only downside is that the 'sent' texts dont appear in your 'sent folder (but can be viewed through the Moblmsg 'log' button).
Easy to use. its not perfect but ive not found anything better
oh ... and by the way .... the first flash is scary but after youve done it once you'll be hooked

I'm having weird thing regarding sms since I installed Android on my vogue. I was on wm6.1 for a long time and decided to install Android. I tried 3 differents port of Android, I finally ended up with Fresh froyo on a kernel 2.6.25. But on all android version I tried I had the same problem. Some sms came in with what it's look like to me chinese characters. I can receive a readable sms from someone and the next sms he's sending it's in chinese. So my question is there any known problem or issues with sms on android ? I did some search here and I didn't find anything like this. Should I go with another sms application ?
Thanks
The solution is to write SMS without accents at least it was solved for me that way.
Yeah i thought it could be something like that... except I don't have any control on incoming sms
I have to send SMS in Russian beneficiary receives the trash.
Is either a solution?
PS: I assume that the case in the coding but the original client settings is not found. Handtsent does not help, Problem remains.
Sorry for the English, I use google translator
In my case only happened when sending messages with accents but the received SMS well so the problem can be language used in your country.
The boy in russia no idea what caused your problem because not I understood he meant.

Let me explain. I have installed HTC VOGUE Fresh Froyo from 23.01.2011 at Nand. In the system settings chosen language is Russian. Sms recruited normally in Russian. But my sms people get in unreadable encoding. I have an idea that problemma encoded message to be sent, but the settings do not have the choice of encoding.

Unfortunately did not help.
Here is a sample russian text that I'm posting: Тест
And this is what will get: C(DN^(C N^$
Maybe worth a try:
On http://sourceforge.net/projects/androidhtc/files/2011-1-23-froyo/ theres three different language builds.
system-froyo-us-unodex-23-01-11_09.tgz
system-froyo-eu-unodex-23-01-11_09.tgz
system-froyo-all-unodex-23-01-11_09.tgz <--- try that one

Hi guys,
I posted this on the CyanogenMod forums, but no one replied, so I guess I will try there
Just installed CM7.1 a few weeks ago. I barely use SMS messages, however, yesterday I needed to send a couple but the recipients are getting a lot of garbage when they receive my message. It only happens if the text contains an accented word. If I write in plain english, the sms is received just fine.
Attached you will find two screenshots of this problem. One in a HTC Wildfire S, and another in a BlackBerry Pearl.
This never happened on the stock Samsung ROM (XXJVT), so I guess its a CM7-stable bug.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
;/ same problem ...

I'm having the same problem, I have a galaxy s2 with swype ....
I tried flashing a new radio, and also checking the "split text messages" option but it didn't work.
Which 'accented word', exactly? Maybe the other phones don't support the characters you are trying to send them? Other than that, I can't reproduce this myself, so I'm not entirely sure.

Try with:
- número
- canción
- áéíóú
The fact is, this didn't happen on stock XXJVT, it happens only on CyanogenMod 7 stable. Those are my close friends mobiles, and I have texted them before on stock with no issue at all.
I don't think its a recipient problem. Those accented letters are pretty common in spanish.
