Hello!
I tried everything, but was not able to set the Caller Alert as:
Ring Once and then vibration every other 2 seconds without RINGING.
Thank you!
Mmmm...
That's probably because the Diamond doesn't have that profile... you get what you see in the ringer options!
what other ring options did you find while trying everything else?
also, try VAlert and making a ring tone with the appropriate duration.

hi guys,
do you have ring delay (about 3 seconds) on your diamond? there is a thread for wm5 but not for wm6.1, and the registry tweaks didnt work for me. I didnt try wma formats though, I want to pick a mp3 ringtone and want it to ring when it is suppose to!
anybody have this problem?
wav only...no delay for my diamond with this.
Try having your ringtone on Main Memory instead of Internal storage. Usually ringtones in Storage card may have the delay due to the power supply delays but not sure with Internal storage. Try anyway and let us known.
Regards,
Carty..
To delete 3secs ring delay:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dialing
Script=(change to "ap")
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0
Script=(change to "av0pr")
using search i found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400590
there are more.
no luck, nothing worked so far.. still delays.

I've tried that. It worked for me with the Phone skin disabled. But when I have my phone skin enabled, it is still quick, but the WAV playback stutters during the first 2-3 seconds as if it is running out of CPU resource.
I'm using Belite 0.97 btw.
ok, now works, if i use wav and disable the phone skin, which i dont really want to disable.

Trying all those suggestions didn't work for me either. Best I got was to trim the MP3 to as small as possible. The ringtone seemed to load up quicker this way. There is a small delay on most phones. Not just the Diamond.
If your just not getting to the phone in time before the answerphone is kicking in then you can extend the time it takes before the answerphone kicks in. If your on Orange I can give you the code.
I wouldnt mind that code please, im on Orange an it does my tits in how quickly my answerphone kicks in! in the mean time im gonna try to shorten the size of my mp3 ringtone and see if it reacts quicker when somebody calls me!
using search i found this

I believe the maximum is 30 seconds and as this is a network-timer you cannot go beyond it.
Is yours set at 30? Check it under Comm Manager > Settings> Phone > Services > Call Forwarding (Get Settings)

For the third day with this phone, another problem arose.
There seems to be a 15-second delay receiving incoming calls. In other words, the caller would of went through at least 6 rings, before receiving my first ring on the Diamond. Am I missing something here?
-Johnny
are you using stock rom and radio? if you are FLASH!
Are you sure about 15 sec delay?? Most people complaining about 3 sec delay. There is a tweaks program you can use called Tweaks2k2. You can disable the 3sec ringtone delay. Im pretty sure if you install it on your device you can check the checkbox called ''disable 15s rintone delay''
or try this...

Btw, What filetype are you using for yr ringtone?
I tried the tweaks2k2 tweak, and it seem to reduce the delays BETWEEN rings.. not diminish the first 3sec delay.
I'm using wma. Ya think wav would be betta?
Isn't this the common problem using the HTC phone skin? If you disable that it's supposed to make the delay non-existent. You can do it in Schaps Advanced Config I understand.

Thanks guys, I had got it down to 1 second now!
I installed the program and got it to come down to 4 seconds.
I converted my ringtone into a .wav format and moved it into the 'Ringtones' folder. No more 15-second delay!
-Johnny
I can confirm, after converting my ringtones to wav files and installing this patch, the 3 second delay is gone.
Working perfect !!!
Does anyone know exactly what this patch modifies so we can do it manually and track all the changes?
Or is it only the converted .wav files that is the big change?
I can also confirm that after you apply the patch and change the ringtone to .wav, the delay is gone!
@ Mask
I use mp3 files. When i call myself i took less than a second before ringing. Normally it takes 3 seconds. But i dont understand the 15sec delay..
Hello all,
sorry for my bad english
Some how, my diamond doesnt makes alert sound when a new text message is recived. Every other event makes sounds perfectly.
I set it to make a sound and vibrate in the old winmo interface.
I found no option like this in diamond tweak or advanced config
(thos programs has only ringtone change option - and my diamond ring just fine. I used advanced config to set it to wake up when a new message arrives.
What can be the problem.
Same problem here, but with new MMS. SMS notification works normally.
MMS work with the new ROM.
But the MMS notification has no sound and no vibration, even if checked in the settings.
me again
I just found out that the same problem happens when I get a new Email message - the device makes lights but no sound even though I set it to at the events area in windows mobile settings. When I press the play buttin there it playes the sound perfectly.
HELP PLEASE
Had the same problem, I managed to set an inbuilt ringtone. Maybe it is not as good as my own, but at least I can hear anything. Search for it.
Is the Wake up from new SMS enabled?
it is enabled

actually, i ever had this problem before, it is:
in the events area in windows mobile settings. if you press the play button, it playes the sound perfectly, but when a message is received, there is no alert sound...
that's because i changed the sms mode from "chat mode" to the traditional one (i just don't know how to express this, but i think you can understand) and when i change this back to normal, the sound comes back again
hope this can be helpful
Are these not working ringtones in MIDI format?
Just noticed setting a certain MIDI ringtone makes all MIDIs for this event fail.
(I switched to WMA and I am happier than with MID )

Even more today being half price
Locks both screen and HW keys on incoming calls, it will also allow you to chose to free the volume keys in case you want to mute the ring without having to unlock it (let's say in a meeting, just squeeze your pocket to hit the volume key to mute)
Hi,
I have two questions:
- Lots of phnes have an option for "increasing volume at incoming calls". It then starts at an incoming ccall vibrating, then it rings very silently and gets louder. I don't know the corrent english word for that so it is hard for me to search the web. How is this callend in english?
- Is there an application for Android to have an increaing volume for incoming calls?
thanks,
michael

Thats not what he wants, hes asking for an app that will progressively increase volume of the ringer when the phone rings. I dont think an option or app exist but it would be nice

good call... one thing you could do is whatever ringtone you use is offset the start time to have a few seconds of silence for the first ring or two and then start softly and then get louder... here is a sample of what i mean... http://sharebee.com/39ba517e
