Hi..
Im using Dutty 2.3 which im happy with.. Now i need some help from u talented peeps..
I unhid the programs tab because i like it there.. Now thats all good..
My aim is to have seperate start and programs menus, so the start has the settings apps and that kinda stuff and the programs tab has the navi, facebook etc..
1st of all, the programs tab being the start tab the bottom is cut off from it.. is there a way to sort that out?
2nd.. Maybe theres a way of having yota launcher for the programs tab and keeping the start menu as it is..
i dont know..
i think this would make the rom perfecto..
thanks..
Unfortunately your post really has very little to do with the development of ROM's, does it?
All respect to Dutty, however, your post should be directed in one of his threads or more specifically the thread in which ROM you're using, mind you dont expect the thread "author" to help you as they are mere newb like yourself.
Try to solve the issue yourself, check the "Development and Hacking" thread there is seriously an app there for everything and if all else fails then post your questions in the threads rather than starting new ones.
i got what i could from the dutty thread already, i believe it is not only his rom that has the same layout which is why i posted it on here.
thanks for your help.

????
Read the WIKI......Lota of info for you in there.....or do a search with any Question you have.....
Peace

The best place to start you off would be the Raphael wiki. Read up. Also visit the Raphael forum for tips and tricks/tweaks.
Happy Learning!
Ok thanks for that link but i already looked at that. not really tell me what programs to look for. Unless im over looking
I'd love to help you....but your request is really broad. Try to narrow it down a little...like applications that can perform specific tasks. The amount of customization you can do to a WM device is almost limitless. If you don't have any in mind right now...look around....check some forums out online. I'm sure you'll come across applications that would make you go...'hmmm....I'd like to have that' That's where xda devs comes in

what kind of customization are u looking for? Are u trying to get a completly new theme? Remove some tabs from the touch flo? You need to be more specific about about what you would like to customize. Like what are you exactly looking to do?
for now i would like to know how to redu a whole new theme
Get diamond tf3d config. Browse the diamond forums for themes. Install them via diamond tf3d config if it's a file that ends in .theme. Some of them will be cabs, which you just install. On my phone, I installed a .theme file, then a cab to change the clock, and then a cab to hide the top curtain... all of which I found in the diamond forums. Lot's of good information for customizing in the diamond forums. Anything else specific you want to customize, just do a search.
ok i got Diamond TF3D Config. working. But what do i do from here. It has no themes.
Hi. I would appreciate if anyone is able to make it possible, that u can see your tasks on the Manila Hometab aswell as u can the the calendar dates.
If there is a post where u can see how u add it in an easy way, plz let me know it, but i wasnt able to find a solution with the search function or anywhere else on the net. I heard, that also some others had the problem not being able to see the tasks with manila 3d. but.. u have such a tall display with your x1... and it is not possible to add the tasks also? A thing that i cant believe
why this thread here? post your request in manila customization thread in general forum
@moderator: if this is wrong here, plz move this thread to the mentioned forum.
But i thought that maybe anyone of the rom cookers would be able to put it into their manila version.. but it seems to be tricky
Hi guys, i know there are similiar threads out there, but i cannot find a good guide to my question. Please help me out here.
I just got my HTC Diamond yesterday, and had lots, i mean LOTS of difficulty using it.. It too cheem. Haha, so will appreciate any help.
I think it's best to give u my phone infos:
ROM Version : 2.03.707.2 WWE
Speed 528Mhz
Ram size: 192Mb
Windows 6.1
(Need any more info, please ask me.)
Firstly, how do i change the Clock, time format to 12hr, instead of the 24hr clock.
Secondly, How can i turn off GPRS, so i won't have to pay extras in my bills.
Thirdly, SMS is quite difficult, what's the best way to use it with a hand and no stylus.
Fourthly, Is it posible to upgrade the version to 6.5?
Fifth, i saw something abt tweaking, how do i do that? And the only way to lock my phone is the power button is it??
Additional Questions:
There's another question. For example my old contact naming Wei Ming, when transfer to HTC, it change to Ming Wei, HOW TO SOLVE?? This is very important too.
Lastly, when i use MSN, then it import all e emails in my contacts, making it very messy, what can i do?
Please advise how to make my phone to become as user friendly as possible.
Thanks in advance!
Ok first things first yes you can upgrade to 6.5 although it is not officially released you can install it.
there are programs that you would want to install to help you do most of these things. take a look at these 2 threads for programs to help you achieve what you are trying to do.
Themes, Applications and Software <---Diamond sections / Development and Hacking <----General sections
look at Icontact for you contact issue
look for TF3D to configure the themes / wallpaper / and other items in Touch flow.
Any links u can give me to let me dl 6.5?

Hey guys, i really encounter alot problem with it. There are many error reprting that make me send same report over n over again.
Then i could not use advance config, after i install, when i launch it, there a error report.
I cannot sync my contacts with the computer too.
Can anyone help me out quick?
Hi,
A way to disable GPRS is an app called NoData MoDaCo. Search the forum for it.
Also If you look in the settings there is a way to disable error reporting .
You have quite the laundry list of questions/issues. However all of them have been asked/answered in various threads around the Diamond (and other) forums. Please use the custom Google search as it is much more reliable then the default vBulletin search engine.
Thank you,
NATF
What is the advantage of upgrading them does it make ur phone faster? of give u more memory or something i didn't want to ask here, but i couldnt find and answers anywhere
Thanks
It's more about speed and the ability to change Radio's (i.e. GSM signal, GPS, bluetooth, etc.) can improve and consume less battery power at the same time.
Others might say for customization. Either way, you will benefit!

Each ROM has its own benefits. I used to use Duttys ROM but I think he has stopped 'cooking' them now but quite like Shaks latest one.
Each 'chef' states his own ingredients and what he removes\updates.
Check out the descriptions and its always best to check some comments from users too. Then decide for yourself!
Hope that helps
EDIT: sorry mate just read ur post properly, I have a Diamond and not a touch HD so the above 'chef' might not relate to you but the comments are still valid ;-)

All your questions have been answered many times.
Please search the forum before posting questions.
The primary benefit is getting updated builds (versions) of Windows Mobile which fix things or speed up stuff. Or get WM6.5 for example.
Then you have the enhanced ability to add/remove things from the ROM, speeding it up or adding more functionality. Say for example if SenseUI ever gets ported to the TP2, it would be significantly more advantageous to cook it into a ROM rather than uninstalling TF3D2 and then installing SenseUI. It meshes things together better.
As for the other things. There are hundreds of threads and the wiki to explain.
