haha so i was messing with the radio today and i got it working with no wire. SORTA. So i plugged in the adapter in to the usb port and then stuck my stylus into the 3.5mm jack it fits and it make the radio work. try it. I'm going to try to find some thing to fit into the 2.5 mm jack and see if it works? Ill let u guys know
Lol, reserved
HAHA , it works
wow this worked remarkably well lol and to my suprise you don't have to jam it in there and it fits quite nicely.
it works
nice work and nice find..... yes it works fine
Just be careful not to short anything out, could be bad news!
haha this is tite
Why stylus?
What do you mean by "adapter", konefatp? I assume one of these.
I got me one straight after I got the TP and the radio works just by plugging it in, no need to use the stylus. So I don't see your point.

I think he meant the "stock" multi adapter.
I also use a generic adapter from China and the radio works without any headphones.
It would be awesome if someone could just crack the radio app and get rid of the verification.

Alternatively you can also try the xFM radio player I wrote, it doesn't check earphone and support more features such as read radio text, listen to police station by selecting Japan band etc.
Sorry for that poor interface and you have to use system build-in volume control because it is still under research.
Initially I was going to write a powerful beautiful FM radio player for my Raphael but all users hope me to research TMC for navigation system.
Click FM Radio in my signature to get that FM player..

If toggling that reg setting does work, then you could create an app that sets it, launches the radio app and waits for the radio app to finish, and then switches it back again - pretty straightforward. However, is anybody getting any signal without the headphones plugged in? I don't seem to get anything.
Cheers,
Steve.

i always think about using my bluetooth headset for regular phone lines.. i did find two ways but none of them worked:
1- a pc software that will enable headset profile on pc so i can use my jabra with my pc but this wont solve the program because the software which i found is not stable+ ive never found a modem which would enable using windows sound system to make a "real" phone calls
2- jabra offers an adapter for bluetooth headsets.. this adapter can connect with "any" blutooth headset and converts what it receives to regular 2.5mm jack...
so if i can find any adapter that would change the 2.5mm jack to regular 3.5mm jackS then i can use any bluetooth headset with speakerphone jacks in my modem....
the problem is that i couldnt find such an adapter.. put in mind is that 2.5mm is not ordinary 2.5mm.. it has one line for mono headphones and anothet for mic.. so i need an adapter that would change this to TWO separate jacks one for mic and one for headphones...
if someone heard of such adapter please help me..
i tried to make my own adapter but i couldnt find the right tools in local stores here...
USB-Dongle?
Hi Mephistodan,
won't a Bluetooth USB Dongle with headset profile solve your problem?
Unfortunately I don't have such a Dongle myself, but heard of several people who use these for sound input/output.
If you combine these with your 'softphone', it should do the job.

I know that radio shack in the US sells a splitter like that. It was made for multimedia where it requires a seperate plug for mic and speaker. I have one that I picked up a while ago when I was using a headset on my pc for ip phone. I had to have seperate plug for mic and heaset then, this might work for you.
In looking real quick found this...

do you know of any software or and modem that enables using windows sound system for making real full duplex phone calls on regular phone line???
Radioshock in the UK is called Tandy, I have no idea why they decided to rename it though, they carry the same product range as the USA's Radioshack

why waste money on bad quality FM transmitter instead of BT? Get a header that support bluetooth (e.g. JVC BT-1, some models from Sony and others). If you header has aux input and you want to do it in a cheaper way, get an Sony DS-205 and connect that to yr header.

Would there be a way for you to record a sample of the stream through FM transmitter? I'd REALLY appreciate that as i'm looking to buy the SP700 as well. The only thing that's holding me back is your comment.

I try ,give me a day or 2 to do this.
soundfiles
First of all ,this is very subjective.
I don't have a kwality recording device. This is recorded with a mp3 player.
It's done in my car(no engine) and it's hard to hear the high tones and the static of the fm transmission.
So don't kill me if you do something and regret it later.
I have recorded speech and music. For reference i have 1 empty soundfile from the recording device so you can hear the static from it.
I stand to what i sayed before ,the sp700 is a great handfree device for calls and navigation, but the fm performances for music is on it's best tolerable but not good enough.
If you don't have 1 and you want it for the music...., i wouldn't buy it,for handfree , great!!!!!!!!!!!, even over fm

This cab solved all my BT problems.
Read about it hire:http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-zoa2dp.html
Just installed it (didn't find an icon so i'm guessing it runs in the background). I deleted my connection with the SP700 and i'll check how it works out tomorrow (after the first pair).
Is this only good for WM 5? Does this do anything for WM 6.1 phones which supports A2DP?
I've been using A2DP toggle with success, but if this works with the toggling it sounds great.
Update: loaded it on my Tilt. Works GREAT!! Switches between BT headset & SP700 with any toggling or pairing

@kareem9nba You use ATT. Have you experienced any problems with your Internet connection after installing zoA2dp? It seems that after I use BT and access the Internet, I get a 403 Forbidden error on my screen. I've tried enabling and disabling the hidden proxy, but I can only get access restored with a soft reset. Anyone else experience this problem?
Another minor glitch. I use Resco radio to stream music through the SP700, after a phone call, the radio has to be manually enabled again.
Don't have a data package so i wouldn't be able to try that. I don't use Resco Radio either. When you uninstall it, does your internet work again?

I can't seem to find what is causing the problem. If the problem gets worse, I'm sure a Hard Reset will fix it.
I will say that if I keep the power cord plugged in it works like a antenna and actually will get a better signal. I love how the SP700 works with calls, transmitting and music (when you get it to work). As of now when I want to play music over the SP700 I need to turn off the wireless stereo on the phone and then re-enable it for it to work. Or just re-pair the unit to my phone. A lot of people are say to use zoa2dp to fix this. While it does work and allows music to be played with no re-pairing necessary, the sound quality seems to be greatly reduce. Is anyone having the same issue? Is there a ROM for the Tilt that can fix this bug?

I have a Fuze and the same problem. It sucks. zoa2dp is automatic, but the sound quality is degraded a bit. To maintain the sound quality I have to manually turning off and then on the Wireless Stereo setting. Another option is you can install the a2dptoggle app. It seems to do the same thing but in 1 click.

I am the happy owner of a HTC Topaz.
I ride a motorbike, and have recently bought a bluetooth crash helmet with built in speakers / mic which works a treat for answering and making calls and also for listening to TomTom navigation instructions from my HTC Topaz.
However, I have yet found a solution to allow me to listen to the built in radio via bluetooth. Because HTC requires the plug-in headset to act as an antena the radio doesnt work without it.
However when I plug in the headset, i get instant radio reception but then the sound is routed to the plug-in headset , rather thean the bluetooth speakers.
My logic tells me that there must be some way to use the plug in headset as ONLY an antena allowing the sound to be routed by deafault to the bluetooth headset. Surely this is software driven?
I am not a software Guru, but keen to learn and frustreted that there doesnt seem to be a yet obvious solution to this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.

Why 4 threads?
You have to use plug-in headset as antenna.

Sorry if i've messed up with protocol. I thought that i'd have more chance of a solution hitting various forums areas..
Unfortunately you might find it's not possible because the audio routing to the bluetooth encoder inside the phone is probably before the point at which the FM audio is injected. Just speculation, but I believe it may be the case.

Many Many thanks!!
Hey guys, i`ve been browsing the site for a while and thought it about time to make an original contribution. I was looking for a blue tooth headset and my searches here lead me to the MW600. quite a few people were asking about it so i thought it a good opportunity to give my review now that i have one!
from the start then, i bought this as i have a very nice pair of headphones i wanted to use with the phone, but could not be doing with cords. most bluetooth headsets have their own headphones which i get along with even less. this seemed a perfect solution to both problems.
the box it comes in is flimsy at best, indeed the plastic tab to hang the box on is completely lose, useless for hanging up in a shop.
out the box, its a lot smaller than i imagined but a bit thicker too. it comes with a charger that handily also fits the HD2 which is an added bonus and un expected!
when i paired up to the phone i was very surprised to find that the unit displayed the song info correctly. i honestly did not expect this to work outside of a sony erricson phone but it works! the next track and previous track buttons work as well, as does the play and stop buttons.
the hands free works fine as well with the person who called me not knowing i was on a hands free.
the volume control is awful, they decided to use a slider that half the time does not register me raising the volume and when it does its impossible to get the right volume setup, its either too high or too low and the slider is too imprecise to get the setting i want!
I cannot comment on the enclosed head phones as i never used them!
When i play some music through the device ( and that is of course what its for) the results are slightly dispaointing. the sound is okay, but that is about as best as i can describe it. maybe its because i am spoilt by the good quality output from the 3.5mm jack on the phone, maybe i am just used to having some EQ on (which the unit does not provide for and the phone says it cannot apply `audio booser` without somer thing being plugged in the 3.5mm jack) but the bass is there (thanks on no small part to the ehadphones rather than the unit) but the mid seems `transparent` with no real hit and the highs are annoyingly 'sparkly'. This os of course my opinion, and others may find the output perfectly fine and for comparison i also do not like the output of ipods as i find their mid lacking as well so if your happy with i pod output you maybe happy with this units output,
I have never needed to re charge the unit yet after 3 days of having it and listing to it in the morning for 2 hours and on the way home for an hour so the battery seems quite good.
I love the unit but the quality of the output means i will only really use it when i have to, prefering to use the audio jack output, i am however going to look into how the unit works as i suspect the phone is sending SBD encode audio and not the native mp3. if i can ge tthe unit to decode MP3 and the phone to send mp3 then i think we have a winner!
For reference i used CD originals encoded to lame 3.98 -V1.
just ordered mine. thanks for the review. i will also post up my opinion of the headset when it arrives. if it is as good as the include wired version, that will be good enough for me.
Hey thanks for the review as I'm getting one but you didn't speak about the radio does it work? anything else? cheers mate
Thanks for your review.
But could you edit it so that it's not so hard to read?
Spaces between a few sentences would suffice.
Thanks for the review, install WOW SRS and it should improve the sound quality via bluetooth but it will kill audio booster when plugged with the 3.5mm jack and always use WOW SRS.

The Miri V10 ROM is on the HTCpedia forums (I think it is V11 now, not tried it)
Just got mine, tried it and I have to say:
THE MUSIC QUALITY IS CRAP!!!!!
headphones arrived today. WOW. excellent audio and far better than oem headphones. have yet to play with it on radio etc, but so far very impressive.
I have a problem
After the end of any audio file
Lose "stereo audio" connection
and have to push the play button to reconnect "stereo audio"
and also
After the end of calls
Lose "Hands Free" connection
and have to push the Talk button to reconnect "Hands Free"
but if i received a call
"Hands Free" reconnect automatically
But there is a delay for two seconds
I do not know this is normal?
Like power autosaving!!!
this is definately not normal. mine works flawlessly. no need to reconnect ever. i would suggest checking your bluetooth settings and pairing settings again to make sure everything is correct.
I am using smartWatchM with Sony Ericsson MBW-150
I think there is a conflict between the Watch and mw600 connection
The problem is from latest windows build (23569) & (21903 )
When i go back to an old build like (23519)
There is no conflict between the Watch and mw600 connection
Waiting for a solution to this problem or update for Windows without problems
Delays
Does anyone else experience a 3-5 sec delay when the HD2 jumps 1 song/chapter forward?
My combination gives a this delay, which is especially annoying when listening to audiobooks!
I miss a few seconds of every new chapter, need to manually jump 1 chapter forward and the back again.
Does not appear when manually going forward/reverse only when HD2 is in control.
I have a nokia remote (AD-54) and was wondering if it could be possible to make it work with SGS with some software mod, or is it physically impossible? It's a nice remote with 3.5 socket, allowing me to plug in my own headphones, and would be great for controlling music playback (cause with just the touch screen it's a pain really). The mic on this remote works fine with SGS as far as I've read, but the controls don't.
www.rolmobile.es/tienda/images/hs45-ad54_312X312.jpg
And, if it's not possible, do you know of any wired remote with 3.5 socket and music controls that works with SGS?
Cheers.
Ditto - I would love a remote for my headphones to control the music player as well.
Nokia might work...
I went ahead and bought one of these.... it does not work out of the box, sound is not output correctly.
What does work is switching the phone into TV out mode. In TV out mode the sound is right. However I can't get the buttons to work at all.
When the phone is not in TV out mode then the headphone socket output is different and non-Nokia compatible. I don't know if that means iPhone accessories work or not.
Its a hardware limitation. I very much doubt the SGS is designed to receive input, apart from microphone streams, through the headphone socket.
Nokia handsets know there is another bit or byte or what ever it is coming through which in turn activates a function. SGS doesn't. The way the Nokia headset is designed, it really only works with Nokias, even to give or accept sound as an output/input.

That's bollocks too. It outputs sound just fine. The question which you've not answered is if the SGS can "see" the signal generated when a button is pressed on the Nokia remote. You don't know the answer so why are you trying to answer the question with "It's a hardware limitation.". All you have done in your post is guess the answer as no. I'd guess it was a no too, but I don't know either, which is why I'm asking.
On forums it just clutters things up and adds useless content to a thread if people who don't know the answer try to answer it by making it up. I appreciate you're trying to help, but unless you know the answer to the question then you're not helping at all.
You can use alternative music players like Tunewiki or Cube. They can play the next song by pressing the headset button twice
Device like this one uses the Mic connection for remote

it *looks like the two are inverted for the SGS (and you have a function for "PushButton")
http://pinoutsguide.com/HeadsetsHeadphones/samsung_galaxy_headset_pinout.shtml
Altough this one states that it is the same
http://pinouts.ru/HeadsetsHeadphones/nokia_handsfree_pinout.shtml
and we know that nokia's TV-Out are working.
For the buttons to work, the OS has to understand the same command as on the nokia, is it responding to anything when you push the buttons?
Remember that enabling TV out mode changes the pinout of the phone.
In "normal" mode with a Nokia control adapter in sound is not correct.
In TV out mode with a Nokia control adapter sound is correct.
In neither case do the Nokia buttons do anything - Play/pause, stop, fwd, rwd, vol+, vol-.
I'm sure the phone is only Nokia compatible when TV out is enabled. In this mode we don't know if..
1) The hardware of the phone can receive a signal from the buttons.
2) The firmware of the phone allows this to be passed to the software.
3) Software can use this input for media players.
Outside of Nokia mode, I don't know the answer to the pinouts.
Of the three pinout links you posted... http://pinoutsguide.com/HeadsetsHeadphones/samsung_galaxy_headset_pinout.shtml seems to be verified. There are three posts saying it's incorrect, but they simply say that the left and right channels are reversed. It's implied from that then that the other aspects are correct.
I think since we're no further forward it wouldn't be a total waste for me to go ahead and get one of the iPhone control adapters off eBay and see what the result is?

Ok.
Oh wait, you're just guessing you don't know if it's a hardware limitation or not - and you're wrong.
Thanks for that exact explanation.
Of course it doesn't. I'd have posted that the attachment worked if it did.

I try to help and you insult me? You are clearly a dunce. Ill stay out of your thread.
I was making a guess based on what is known. The hardware inside the SGS is different to the nokia. That link posted above proved the pinout is different thus proving what I said to be correct, its a hardware limitation. What the Nokia headset sends out as a signal is not going to be received by the SGS.
Kindly get bent and refrain from posting your useless crap. Unless you work for Samsung or Nokia as a hardware engineer or they release the information, or you've spent time following the circuit of the phones, you will too be making a guess.
In non tv mode the sound works fine for me. Are u sure you have a real Nokia ad54. A couple of the fakes I got off eBay don't work correctly. If u have a real one the sound works fine for music/books and when u get a call the sound will also work.

I cannot be sure if I have a real one or a fake. Music sounds ok when it's not in TV out mode, but some parts are missing on some tracks. I'm guessing I'm hearing left or right channel only on both sides - but I'd need to find a file to test that with to be sure.
The one I got looks exactly like the one at the top of this thread. It came without the headphones. It even had the cable tie wrapped in the same way.
Argh! I've just done a left/right channel test... and in normal and in TV out mode the left and right channels are separate and correct. It turns out the AD-54 I have has a slightly dodgy connection.
The test I used is here - http://www.wooferbasstest.com/left-and-right-channel-verification-audio-systems/sound-effects.html if that's any use to anyone.
So after taking a complete wrong turning... apologies... back to what t1mman was saying...
There is no response at all from the Nokia buttons. I've even made sure I'm wiggling the wires about while I do it with both the device switched to the in position and the off position. As I'm still not convinced though I wouldn't mind lgkahn's input on it - Do the buttons work in any way for you on the AD-54?
We know at this stage then that the Samsung and the Nokia both use the same channel (ring2) (my rusty electrical knowledge tells me that it is not possible to use ground?). However the SGS is either incapable of seeing the Nokia signals, or is not looking for them so ignores them... I think that's the summary of where things are.
Going forward from here I think there's no point in trying a iPod pushbutton thing - so unless someone has a different opinion I won't bother getting one off eBay.
It would be interesting for someone who knows more about the phone itself to let us know if it's even conceivable to try to see if the phone is seeing a signal, because if it is seeing a signal then perhaps it could be taught to respond to it? I'm way out of my depth there.
Other than that though, it seems to me that the Nokia device serves no purpose, and the only way to pause/play music is to use an app that pauses/plays when the headphones are disconnected.
hi, i guess that this approach is dead isnt?
I want to know the same..
