Last night I noticed that most (not all) the icons in settings have disappeared. Some of the ones that is there don't do anything when I click on it. I've searched this forum and found someone suggesting to delete the settings folder then recreate it. I did that but it still does not work. Has anyone run into this issue? If so, how did you fix it? Is there anyway to get those icons back? Thanks
screen shots attached.

Hard-Reset
before you hard reset, maybe just a soft reset. Have had this before. Soft reset fixed the problem for me.
hard reset only??? ahhhh. I've already tried soft resetting many times, and still no go...

I have the same problem yesterday after tweaking the hide sim contact and activate the burst & sport mode for camera. However, not too sure if the above tweaks was the caused.
Did a hard reset and its back to normal.
I have the same problem since yesterday night onwards. Didn't do any tweak or change of setting. This just happened out of nothing. Anyone can solve the problem? (other than doing a hard reset).

did you happen to install CE Star on the phone?
I did but it was about 3 weeks ago and the phone was ok.
I believe the issue lies with it. If you have not register your copy of CE Star, this might happen. To verify this, uninstall CE Star and see if the problem goes away.
its is CEStar issue. pls register your CEstar.
Registered and solved. Thank you!
Thanks......I have solved mine too......Well done !!
Anyone know how to solve this issue with QuickGPS background ? I don`t know why it happened :/
TIA
soft reset seems like a good option
Even restore didn`t help :/ Soft reset too ... Maybe to many changes in Advenced Config 3.1 in registry :/ I think i have to hard reset ...
Try openning it without TF3D working....ie turn off TF3d and then run it and see what happens....
I also have this problem now... wtf. I might hard reset and see what happens. Even with TF3D off, the problem persists. Using rom 1.93 european
OK I have just done many hard resets to find the culprit. In my case it was a cab "A_Bit_More_Green.cab", which i use to change the color of the volume bar and a few buttons in the "phone" screen.
Stupidly, i did not test if just uninstalling the cab fixes the problem, i just did a hard reset again, and i can't be arsed to try again, sorry.
Good luck
So a couple of months I updated my P9 to b383, all was pretty good until I found that when I restarted my phone, all my setting had reverted to default. Things such as vibrate on keypress, how long before my phone locked, you know sort of standard settings which I had customised to my liking. Oh and also the hidden apps menu didn't work. I didn't really use this so it wasn't a big deal. I factory reset my phone and it seemed to cure it. A week later and it has started all over again. Anybody else noticed anything weird like this? Would re-flashing the firmware fix the problem?
Cheers

Did you used the dload method?
if yes did you flashed BOTH firmware files?
I think I used the hi-suite/firmware finder method and I did flash both files.
Hi,
I am currently experiencing a problem with my finger scanner. It does not show up under settings.
Everything was going going perfectly a couple of days ago, but one morning, it was bugging si I decided to restart my phone. Since then, it disappeared from the settings menu.
Does someone else have the same issue?
Is there a way to say if it is due to a software or hardware issue?
Any thoughts?
Thanks for your help!

Thanks for the advice, but I already tried it, two times just to make sure... Nothing changed.
The weirdest thing is that restarting the phone gave me access to the fingerprint scanner once, but disappeared 2 days later... Since then, have not been able to get access to it. This is why I don't know if it is hardware or software related.

You should also try to downgrade to older software using FF, if that doesnt work than its hardware problem. EDIT: Try wipe cache using stock recovery first

Unfortunately, no... I am now on B360, but still no finger sensor in setting menu.
I'll let you know if I find something!.
OK thank you. If I find something I'll let you know too.
The new software update b369 seems to have solved my problem...
