How to disable sound alarm by calender events? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

It is very disturbing to be waked up at midnight by the phone alarm, which anounce you that tomorrow is the birthday of one of your contacts
Is it possible to cancel this alarm? I would like to have only the visual anouncement of the events, without sounds. I have to mention that I use the SPB Mobile Shell application.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Should be under Setting - > Sound Notification - > Reminder. You can select what you want there.
I don't know if SPB changes that or overrides that. You might need to go to the website to find out.
Have you tried the 'Help' on your Phone? It also should be there ..

modify sms alerts and program

Is it possible to modify the alert sounds of a new sms, what file type does it use and how do I change it? I am also interested in knowing if there are any third party sms apps that anybody uses? The default one is ok but I want something that can be controlled by finger, big icons, mobile phone style input...
I also want a free regedit so I can im,plemnt some of the tweaks in the wiki, any suggestions?
Sorry if they're daft questions but I only had the xda iis 3 days now and I'm still learning.
To modify the alerts of new SMS you need to go to:
Start > Settings > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications Tab > Messaging Events.
Must be WAV format and be placed on the \Windows Directory.
For alternate applications, you could search in http://www.freewareppc.com/ and http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/
phoneAlarm is best

SMS Notifier

Hi!
I used this software before in my Ipaq. However when I tried this in my Kaiser, had a feeling that it slowed my Kaiser and also freezed it.
Anybody know software which is doing:
- Answer preconficured sms-message to caller if I am not answer or press hang-up
- Add this call to my calendar, with text what sent to caller
- Check my next availibility time and adds it to that sms
Like: "Automatic response: I am not available right now. I'll call you bac as soon as possible. According to my calendar I'm free at 14:30."
Like that... you can check sms notifier software from the webpage: http://www.codeplex.com/SMSNotifier
Nobody have any suggestions?

sms delivery

any one know how to make the delivery reports a permanent thing in stead of manually ticking the box every time i send an sms?
many thanks in advance

i get as far as programs then there is no messaging in there unless im not seeing something on my htc
just use one of the advance configuration utilities found on this forum. you'll find the option you are looking for there
Like me, you don't have the messaging shortcut in programs... not to worry.
On the home screen, tap the Messages icon, then tap 'All Messages'. Here, you can pick up the route described by MJNewton above, by going 'Menu', then 'Tools', then 'Options', and finally tapping the SMS\MMS account, where you'll get the tick box you require.
many thanks for your replies found the option now

Click to collapse
If it's not in the programs menu, then it's in the start menu. On windows mobile devices, a program cannot be in both places at once, unless you create a duplicate icon yourself.

automatically setting the phone on silent

hi, is there a way to automatically make the phone switch to silent or vibrate during appointment times? say if i have an appointment in my calender, is there a way to make the phone switch itself to silent or vibrate when its time for the appointment? thanks
I believe SPB Phone Suite can do what you require but it's not freeware and I don't know of a free alternative.

Manilla Settings tab - Sound - I have "automatically" profile there.
It allows automatically turn sound off during appointments
I use phoneAlarm, it does exactly what you want. There was a free trial when I first started using it, would've thought it'd still be the same.
It's not free but it's not that expensive either and pretty much set and forget.
Details at www.pocketmax.net
PS. I use the AllRock3 theme, fits in nicely with the HTC theme

try sbsh phone weaver, run over TF3D and donĀ“t need today plugin .
The other softs requires the today plugin, for auto profile switcher.

[REQ DEV] Birthday Notification/reminder

I like to wish my people happy birthday. I have been saving their special day into my phone but want to know if anyone can code a script or tiny program that will bring up a notification reminding me of a friend's bday?
Thanks for looking! Have an awesome day.
You could look into SBSHCalendar. it has the ability to pull you contacts birthday from contact info and put it on your calendar. Hope thiat helped. orry if it didnt
Maybe "Birthdays", a plugin for today screen, here: http://pda.jasnapaka.com/birthdays/
I managed my contacts thru MSoutlook and in every contacts info. there's a field called "Birthday", when you placed the date in that field somehow it makes a reminder in the calendar app.
The downside is that the alarm of the reminders fire's up at midnight, to avoid this you should edit the reminder in MSoutlook in your desktop and change the time is set.
Good luck
thanks guys
I appreciate the input.
I will try that Birthday prog. I don't use standard WM plugin today screen. I'm using wm6.5 titanium but hopefully the main aspect of the prog will work.
I will also try your method Rodrix.
I use TodayAgenda on my today screen which has this functionality - just change the colour scheme to display birthdays and anniversaries in different colours (especially your own anniversary! )
