Is Overclocking Diamond Possible? (KW:overclock over clock cpu bus speed)

Hi guys,
I was thinking of selling my Diamond due to the ****ty TouchFlo3D speeds.
The thing is, I really like the screen and user interface so selling it on such a basis might be a little impulsive.
So, I was wondering if anyone managed or knows how to overclock the Diamond so as to make it speedier? I am not too familiar with overclocking, in this sense I meant like increasing the CPU speeds or something?
I tried all reg "tweaks" and they make it only that fast and I still experience the more than occasional lags.
Also, tried searching using K/W Overclock + Diamond and yielded no results, hence the thread creation.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Have you tried any of the cooked Roms? They apparently really speed the device up no end. I find TouchFLO 3D fine, but just the actual reception of the phone could be better so im gonna have a go at Flashing a new Radio to the device sometime this week.
There used to be a way of overclocking the processor on the Touch. This was great for when you were playing games on it as they ran at the correct speed. I find the games, (the ones that work) run fine on the Touch Diamond. Mmm.
Good luck finding what you want!
I am using the Elite 2.0 ROM, but its frustrating because of the lags.
May I know what roms you are using?
Performance (Overclocking .exe)

you''ll find more about overclocking in the "old" thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413768
I'm using swiftBL and there is no lags, its super slick! It even mentions the radio to use in the thread in the ROM section (but I not put that on yet!)
The only time I get a bit of lag is if I try and jump from one screen, to another, to another really, really quick...
Other than that, I think its the best ROM and most stable... had no problems, bene using it about 2 weeks now!
Good luck!

Original Diamond Windows-Design

Hey guys. I bought a branded Touch Diamond (branded by Vodafone). The graphics on my phone sucked. I already installed a new version of Touchflo3D and so the main screens do already look as great as they should, but Windows is still using the Vodafone-Design and obviously I cannot choose the original HTC design from the list. So could someone upload the original design and tell me what exactly I have to do to get it running (especially where to put it)? I'm quite new to windows mobile devices and I don't want to frag my phone - so I would be grateful for accurate instructions.
And I hope that I'm not posting the same question as billions of others before me. If that's the case: sorry.

make my tp look like a hero?

i'm not asking for step by step instructions (but that would be nice) i just want to know if someone can point me in the right direction of the most stable rom or software they know of to make my touch pro (cdma) look like the new htc hero. to be honest i would even settle for the magic. i'm not just looking for the today screen, i'm also looking for other stuff such as the way the settings are controled and such.
any help but be appreciated.

point sense is a very laggy app
its not worth to the time to download it
personally i think mobile shell is the best one
I had a lot of problems with point sense too. It keeps freezing...

Do you still like your G1?[and a few generic android questions]

Hi guys,
I'm currently a touch HD user, but I'm getting fed up with the slow ass stuff, so I'm planning on switching over to an Android phone.
Basicly, I've got three choices; T-mobile Pulse, G1 or the Samsung Galaxy Spica.
The way I see it, is that the G1 is far out the most customizable and actually has a qwerty, while the Samsung has a better screen, 3.5mm jack,
a camera key and the 800mhz cpu.
So that's the introduction, now the questions:
1. Do you still like your G1? As in, anything you really hate about it or something?
2. Does the standard android[I believe the Samsung runs on 1.5], have an application which can show the next appointments on [a] today screen?
3. Do you really ''feel'' the thickness of a G1 when it's in your [jeans] pocket?
4. Will the G1 be updateable to 2.0? As I read somewhere that 2.0 is supposedly too large or something.
5. Any reasons you'd pick a certain one?
I bought a G1 a few days ago, so I guess I'll explain my choice:
1: I love it, I only hate the stupid lack of 3.5 jack, and I dislike the camera quality: it's as ****ty as my old HTC Trinity
2: on cyanogen since the 1st day so can't answer
3: no, the size is absolutely not an issue for me, had it in my pocket all day
4: I think so, with apps2sd the size is not really an issue
5: I took the G1 because:
A/ It has a nice usable keyboard
B/ It is the better supported device in terms of hacks, devs, etc...
C/ It is the oldest and was poorly released in France (bugs in the original firmware, bad keyboard layout) so non-techy users didn't like it that much and the price is quite cheap for a second hand device

I agree with everything benoitb85 said above. As for question #2, I believe the Calendar widget is exactly what you are asking for. Just put the widget on your screen and it shows the next thing on your calendar. Then you can tap the widget to bring up the calendar proper. And that is on the Cyanogen mod, and any version of the OS, really. I also highly recommend Cyanogens mod if you get an Android phone.
Personally, I wouldn't get the G1 now. I still like it a lot, but I'm afraid that if you get it now, you'll feel like it's outdated rather soon. Mostly because of the limited RAM, newer phones just have more of it. Plus, there are new phones coming out with faster processors, like the galaxy spica. But, again, I really like mine! Anyway, that answers your first question. As for the others:
2. I'm pretty sure there's an app for that.
3. Yeah, not really moreso than my previous phone (xperia / kovsky), but a lot moreso than the phone I had before that (samsung x820, but then again, that one was 6.9mm thick).
4. It most likely will be, and if not, cyanogen might rescue us!
5. If I had to buy one now, out of those three, I'd go with the galaxy spica, because of the faster processor and more RAM. Then again, I really like having that keyboard. It's really up to you!

1. i kinda like my g1,but i am spoiled by the new gen of android phones...i actually hate the lame ram specs(192mb) and i actuallywouldnt buy a g1 NOW since the g1 is pretty much dying IMMO..u should really look into the motorola dext(i assume u live in the UK) devs over at another website are REALLY REALLY CLOSE on rooting the device. the motorola dext/cliq is really not a well designed phone on the outside, but the internals are beast. or the htc hero and htc magic 32a if u dont mind having a full touch phone. i know there a better phones, but the only devices i can think of with root access is the g1/dream , hero, magic/mytouch , and cliq is almost there.
2 there is plenty of calendar apps that will do this
3. i personally down mind the thickness of the g1,but i always carry mine in my hand and hardly put it in my pocket.
4.OFFICIALLY the 2.0 update is too large for the g1,but unofficially i am sure devs can get a good enough 2.0 rom that runs well as 1.6. BUT! i can alrdy see getting 2.0 working well on the g1 compared to other phones will be a chore since the g1 wont be getting the 2.0 and devs would need to do do alot of custom work to get the needed missing. idk how to explain it ..i looked into 2.0 and can just see things.
5. pick one of what? i ASSUME u live in uk since u thought abt getting the tmobile pulse...i alrdy suggested the phones u should really consider in answer 1.

What thickness? EVERYTHING in this physical reality has three dimensions WITHOUT EXCEPTION, so everything has "thickness". If you are asking if you can feel that it is there, yes, you can feel that it is there. If you are asking if it is bothersome... no. Not in the slightest.

You would have to ask tmobile about that.
As I read somewhere that 2.0 is supposedly too large or something.

I am REALLY getting tired of all the people who go around believing all the chicken little's.
a) 2.0 is *NOT* too large.
b) DREAM has *TONS* of space available.
c) There are *TONS* of unused optimizations that can *DRASTICALLY* reduce the size of a system image.
d) 2.0 *ALREADY RUNS* on DREAM.

physical keyboard beats everything without one.
Thanks for all the responses, I'm unfortunately from the Netherlands and the CLiq/DEXT still isn't released here.[no idea when it will be released either.] So currently I'm leaning on the Spica, but that has no support whatsoever.
Oh, with thickness, I meant well, you know, the dimension after height and width.

drivers...

Hey all!
I just got a new kaiser, currently am using a clean 6.5 rom.
I've been searching the internet for the past few days because my phone runs programs slowly, the scrolling is laggy (compared to my asus p535 witch is 3 years old). I found out that it has some drivers missing for it to run smoothly, but all the info i found is like two years old like 2008 may or so... I found that 3d drivers are available but the 2d are not yet fixed. Since this information is 2 years old i thought maybe someone can update me slightly? are the drivers fixed now? or will i never have the opportunity to enjoy my new device as a powerfull pocket pc?
Thanks in advance.

There is a reason there is no updates to be found.
what do you mean?
lol
I mean that there isn't any sort of post about it because there is nothing to post about. I quoted the answer from your post that applies to what you want to know.
The new roms have the lastest and greatest of things mixed in. The phone is going to run slow foreeeeevvvvvveerrrrrrr.....
i cant believe it, i just got a new phone and wow, it sucks...
The phone is 3 years old, not new by any standard.

No award982, your phone does not sucks!
First the reason for your mobile programs run slowly does not mean that you are needing to change the drivers!
I have a Kaiser and it works very fast! In my experiences with several different versions of ROM, Windows Mobile 6.5 always ran slower than the 6.1!
I do not recommend trying to install any drive other than that already comes in its ROM. You have to find a ROM that works perfectly as you want!
I can recommend you 2 ROM for Kaiser: ( this is what I liked )
WinMo 6.1 (I use this)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=545821
WinMo 6.5 (the best 6.5 we've tested)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=543276
And remember to use HardSPL and Radio recommended by the chef!
thanks, i feel better now
I am also thinking, maybe android fixes the problem?
And mine doesn't run that slow, its just the bug with the touchscreen is that i cant stand...

You can find a lot of stuff that can help with touchscreen sensitivity and smoother scrolling, just search for it. Try Advanced configuration tool and KaiserTweaks, they got lots of useful tweaks. Dont give up, Kaiser is a great phone, when you set it by your taste, you~ll see!
