How to flash your new Touch-IT rom to your beloved Experia
NOTE:
If you want to revert back to SE rom, try use the SE updateservice to recover your stock rom.
1. You MUST have Hard-SPL on your Xperia
2. Download the Touch-IT rom
3. Unpack with winzip/winrar
4. Connect your Xperia with PC (Activesync, or enter Bootloader) Be sure you are connected..
5. Click the ROMUpdateUtility, follow the onscreen instructions.
6. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE DEVICE DURING FLASH PROCESS
6.1 Its always recommended to do a HARD-RESET after flashing a new Rom
7. Let the process finish with customization, do the setup and enjoy.

but ofcourse, rotation on the other apps works great

ok safari so goodie..
I upped the cache and filter sizes and some of my own stuff, and it's really flying now.
Album updates almost immediately and the zoom works well.

I was a bit concerened after the initial customisation and soft reset the top bar wasn't responding. Power cycled and all works fine!

runs very good. my only problem is that i cant scrool down through pictures or files with my finger anymore. only works with the scrollbar?! is there a way to enable fingerscrolling again?

Im getting some lockups on activesync now, will check and see whats causing it.
it's the screen that's becoming unresponsive, keyboard and red key works to stop it.

I can confirm the ActiveSync issue. It works, but it locks input. You can get around it, using the keyboard, but a fix would be nice...

Very cool ...I use that one myself...R2 rom gives me issues with a call forwarding icon that doesnt go away. This one basically has the same tweaks etc.....only bug it has right now is opera browser doesnt see the sony index page....easily enough fixed...just manually set it to whatever page you want....Haven't seen a fix for it yet and the Touch IT keyboard is fickle sometimes. Everything else works as it should....sorry but my level of expertise in this stuff is limited...but Im learning.

Quick thing - Media panel issues are same as in itje's ROMs. To fix download new panel manager from itje's ROM.

The Touch-IT keyboard is a bit more user friendly than the previous XT9 version. Opera doesn't work with iPlayer now but, this is easily fixed by adding
Custom User-Agent=vodafone/1.0/SEX1i/R1AA Opera/9.5 (Microsoft Windows; PPC; Opera Mobi/2141; U; UK) UP.Link/6.3.1.20.0 to the User Prefs section in Opera.ini
I can also confirm that sitelisters suggested fix for the Media Panel issue worked for me as well.
These are minor issues though. This ROM just keeps getting better and better...

Used the latest mxp that I knew of....fixed [email protected] start page...removed XT9 Keyboard....

Funny, I would have thought that there would be more interest in this ROM. I flashed it last night and it's running great on my Shadow.

I think there is interest, they just don't bother posting here since its just a thread with a link to another thread. All the support for this is at AllShadow.

BAD as in good? Or BAD as in totally sucks? I think it's pretty good, although other than the menus being larger I can't see any huge difference from WM 6.1. Oh, and the IE6 on 6 or whatever the new browser really is bad as in not good.

this is such a beautiful upgrade, i wanted to say that first, but for some reason my ActiveSync doesnt work anymore! i used it for the upgrade, and then i tried to hook it up again to put my files back on, and it just shoes the charging indicator. HELP!

I successfully updgraded my JUNO to WM6.5 but I have some problem on my keys.
Here's some of the issues:
On the SMS if I enter the 9 it will go to SYSTEM with volume gauge
SMS window upon typing my message and disable the T9 then "num" it will open address book automatically
SMS window space key automatically enter "[email protected]" character.

But i wonder to know if you got T9 in turkish ?? it is a big lost for me?

This rom is pretty sick but my earpiece no longer works. My speaker is fine and it's actually the only way I can hear others. I don't know if maybe a driver got damaged or if my speaker crapped out coincidentally at the same time I flashed the rom. Good thing this is not my primary phone. Anyone else have this issue?

hmmm for me the scrolling in Contacts is working without any probs. Also the Music tab is working wihtout probs.
LikeM: Only the Manila works in English, too. Just change the manila language in the Manila Reg from de-DE to en-US. It should work.

@RideTheTube: Maestro, sorry for being not clear:
First, not the contacts screen in manila, but the DIALER SCREEN is problematic: press "Phone Up" key, the list made from call history and contacts can not be moved, you only see the first five (or so) entries.
Second, in the Manula "Music" tab, select "Update album art" from the menu, and you will notice the problem there, too.
Nevertheless, Keep up the good work!

ok, no possible solution to have it fully english language?

Phone list is working fo me also. But the home key (switch to the welcome page) at the bottom is not working for me no reactions of the device and i miss bubble braker. Can you provide htis as a cab?

Maybe i´ll give this rom a try. Testet some roms today and the one from PDAviet didn´t work well for me. Maybee this one is a little bit better. But most important for me is, that´s in german. Waited so long ...

after 4-5 softresets .... showcase & not-working home-soft-button give me the rest....
So the "HOME" softbutton does not work... without "HTC Task Manager" some application might need a softreset, cause I cant reach Showcase....

SMS recipients appearing 2 times... so 1 sms to my girlfriend seems 2 times going out....
Navigon does not run after installing --> it gave me a FREEZE ????

why cant you reach Showcase?
For closeing programms press the x button longer and for starting showcase press the windows button longer it gives you a vibration feedback.
And for the Homebutton here is a cab which fixes your prob ( But press the hangup button its near the same)

yes i can tell you why
remove usb and try again hehehehe
you can connect it only from wifi and gprs
if you want to connect it via pc /usb
you must go to device center and change settings from internet to data (i think..) i do not remember the right names
and back
every time you must change from one to the other... otherwise internet from usb does not work..

i wouldn't connect from usb...i'm connected via usb to shot the screenschot!
That message shows when my phone tries to connect via gprs/umts.
It doesn't happens always but only three/four time a day.
What can i do?
