Invalid vender id when flashing to 1.56
Hi all,
if you have problem with flashing your HD to rom with 1.56 and communicate INVALID VENDER ID this post is for you.If u have in your HD Olinex HSPL.This is my method for this problem:
1.Return to stock 1.14
2.Flashing old rom RUU_BlackStone_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.14.479.3_Radio_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship
after that I always was have this ERROR
but there is method:
3.Use USPL 2.5
4.Flash official rom 1.56
Then you can flash duttys rom 2.7
For me this working

I am about to buy a Touch HD that has already the stock 1.56 ROM therefore, has 1.54 SPL in by default....
What is not perfectly clear is... do i still need to downgrade, hardSPL, upgrade to 1.56 and then use uSPL or do i simply use USPL and flash as it is?....
2nd option. Run USPL first, everytime you want to flash a ROM/Radio/etc.

USPL and flash

If your device already has 1.54 SPL, USPL is your only choice. Also, unlike HSPL, USPL is NOT on your device all the time. So every time you want to flash a cooked ROM you would have to flash USPL to your device before the cooked ROM flash.
Now if you want to try the cooked ROMs that have 1.14 SPL, you also have an option to downgrade your SPL and then flash.
There are 2 kinds of ROMs out there (both cooked and ship) The ones that only work with 1.54 SPL (you would get this SPL if you flash Ship 1.56 ROM) and the ones that do NOT work with 1.54 SPL (these ROMs have 1.14 or 1.19 SPL).
HSPL is only good for NON-1.54 SPL ROMs.
USPL works with All kinds of SPLs.
Hi everyone,
I have upgraded my SPL to 1.54.
Now my SPL screen displays:
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.54.0000
so i'm trying to flash to new roms. But every time i try my progress bar stuck to 0% and nothing appens until i get the error
so I've tried to reflash my device with the original shipped (ITA) rom 1.56 and 1.14
my i get the id error (strange because my HD is italian)
I've read the dummies guide, and when i flash the SPL i get the same problem (stuck at 0%)
how i can solve?

When i tried to do a 1.56 hardsplitt on my htch hd it says 1.14 olinex when i boot up,
either way i installed Miri_WM65_21892_Premium_Manila_2.5_V21.1 and it works for about 2 minutes then it shuts down
i have to get 1.56 so run this rom right?

Yes, you MUST have 1.56 HSPL to instal a WM6.5 ROM with Manila 2.5. Where do you found your 1.56 HSPL?

Would it be possible to downgrade to the official shipped Sprint 1.56 ROM (RUU_Hero_C_Sprint_1.56.651.2_signed_release.exe) from official 2.1 ROM using recovery-RA-heroc-v1.6.2? I know hboot was changed in the latest ROM and 1.56 RUU generates the dreaded 140 error, but would it be possible to extract rom.zip and flash it using RA?
