Is there a registry tweak to increase my outgoing call volume. Recently, callers complain about my call volume being too low. I need to really speak up to be heard clearly.
With Phone Skin enabled, i have proper incoming call volume control (able to change speaker volume while call in progress), but if tomtom was running when the call came in, Tom Tom doesn't return until the call is finished.
With Phone Skin disabled, i have no way of changing incoming volume control (only System & Ringer volume control), but at least TomTom returns after a few seconds the call started. I can conversate AND still look at the TomTom scree for directions.
Problem is, i want both.....
I can live with the 3sec delay and 10Mb extra of Phoneskin if it would let TomTom get back into focus after a few seconds into the call.
I can also live with the more rudimentary default phonepad if it would let me change incall volume.
Any solution?

My X1 XPERIA is too loud that nearly hurt my ear when i am in a phone call.
Whilst on a phone call, if I press the volume control on the side of the device, it just decrease a very little of the volume.
I have search many forum that could not be help.
I have read this:
=================================================
The base key is
HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Attenuation
There are three values below that 0, 1 and 2. General sound is associated with category 2 and this is probably set to 1 at the moment. I have changed the value associated with category 2 to 3 for the moment. I have heard that it can be changed to as high as 5 but I don't want to damage the speaker.
So in short change the HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Attenuation\2 registry setting from the default 1 to a higher value (between 1 and 5) and this will factor up the volume for most phone functions. Once you've done that power cycle the phone for the change to take effect.

I don't have the HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\WaveDev\AcousticFile in the registry.
Under WaveDev I only have the following options:
Dll, Flags, IClass, Index, Order, Prefix, Priority256

Anybody can help me to fix the "loud" problem? Thank you.
Hi there
I have this problem too
FOr some people this tweak work, but not on my X1.
I think it has something to do with the European db limits. (I guess)
Probably the settings for Call volume is somewhere else, not sure...
Hope SE fix this in R3A for us.
Too loud!
I'm experiencing the same problem, I'm using EnergyRom Dec.17 2009. I cannot adjust the in-call volume! Pls experts, help us.
Help who knows please, I have same problem. Everebody around me are able listen my calls. I tried some changes in registry - w/o success.
same here! I have a sensible ear - sound is too loud for me....
I`ve reinstalled stock rom and stock radio (1.14) but no luck in improvement of sound call.
I have read in another post that turning the volume up during a call and then down again fixes the problem ... I have yet to try this and I don't know if it fixes it for good or just that call.
Hope this helps?
Bump... if anyone figures it out, please let us know.
dont know bout x1 but x2 has "micrpohone AGC" which regulates volume control
and <ou can always change volume the old fashioned way via up/down volume keys at the side of the phone
i just would like to have a little louder speakers when i do phonecalls in my car..what does i have to change in the registry
My top speaker is buzzing when dialling an outgoing call on speaker but all other tones even music and Listening to thé récipient on speakerphone are fine at fine at full volume which is strange so i thought its maybe only à particular frequency of sound causes thé buzz but to no avail.
I even tested a whole range of sound frequency but still no buzz. Why is it happening, anyone else's do this?
Here's what I tested with:

Anyone ?
Was very very annoyed earlier when in a Skype audio call via earpiece (not as a speaker) that my P20 Pro rang down my ear at full volume when an incoming phone call came in.
I am very careful with how loud I listen to music etc and it is annoying that such a bug would send such a loud pulse of sound down ear sealed to the top "speaker"
Is this a hardware bug ?
Or Skype software bug not registering to android it's being used for a call ?
Or an Emui bug not recognising phone is being used for a non speaker phone call ?
I can't find anyway of disabling top "speaker" for incoming ringtone ?
