You can try a hard reset, holding in the com manager and voice recorder buttons and hit the reset. (Read the WIKI).
You will lose your data and settings, but you may recover the phone.
You could also help by telling us how you got into that state.
read this thread G3.2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
Please don't post the same question in 2 different threads. Use the search button, read the stickies, this is one of the most common questions here at xda...do some research, you'll learn so much about your device, it will be worth it.
Mine is also stuck, and I created a new thread about it. I have tried different recovery theories with no luck though.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=340965 is the post. When searching I only found 1 thread appropriate, however I think I was searching only the WM6 thread, and that was my problem. I even originally created the thread in the WM6 category.

I have done a lot of searching and I was wondering if anyone knows if any solutions or fixes have been found for the red light of death.
Also, what have people's experience been when replacing with AT&T after the 30 day warranty period?
Why open a new thread and not continue the original one at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355232 ?
If someone comes up with a fix, I´m sure it´ll be posted there.
Also, can you please add a questionmark to your thread title? Otherwise it looks like you found a solution and want to share.....
Question mark added.
Hey.
I just got my new (used 6 months) Diamond, after my Trinity has crashed. But what i observed is that the battery life is extremely low. Is there any possibility to make it last longer. I have seen somwhere on a forum that the combination of SPL, Rom, and Radio might help, but i lost somewhere this thread, cannot find it anymore....
So please can you help me to solve that issue? The Trinity could go much longer when i was using GPS. I was thinking that Diamond should be better.
Plese help.
could you please help?
i ve seen response to threads like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=539418
so do not ignore me please.
thanx for help anyway.

Holy #@$*'ing @$*t ! Sorry your highness for making you wait all of one day to respond to a question that has been discussed ad nauseam throughout the entire internet.
Google is a good friend. Try typing in "Diamond battery life" into Google search and you'd be absolutely amazed as to what happens when you subsequently click on the search button! Let me show you: http://www.google.com/search?q=diam...-ca&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1
In a nut shell;
1. Diamond battery is very small @ 900mAh. Buy a bigger battery if you want
2. Don't leave bluetooth, wifi, and 3G on when you don't need it. All of them draw a lot of power
3. Turn off auto backlight adjustement and set it to a brightness that is comfortable for you to read.
Some more advanced stuff can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=463233 and http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=178457
Hi all

The one with the clock and all displayed, there was a green battery on top if i recall correctly. Right but now he was playing with the phone and the battery display disappeared so no he doesnt know how to reset it back. It was next to the 3G and bluetooth signs but now its not there anymore.

Hey thanx for the reply but i got this message clicking your link. I actually was looking for it but obviously didnt put in the correct words as most of my results were considering the 1% battery apps and tips.
Maybe you got another link for me or maybe this one but a working one?
Thanx a lot for the effort.
It seems I may have bricked my i897 last night. Keep getting this screen...
"tried to insert pic here but it wont let me" and since it wont i will have to describe it. (probably wont get much help this way.) the screen is similar to the pics I have seen of a phone---<!>---PC but it looks way different in the fact that the phone and pc both have a nice scenery and the monitor has an actual tower beside it. It also says the following:
Firmware upgrade fail!
Try using recovery mode
Tried every combination of buttons and even tried the jig method several times.
Any suggestions? It would seem that if I was getting this screen then it is just soft bricked? Or am I wrong about that? I am lost as to what to do from here.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have read these forums until my eyes are bleeding, but I cant seem to get back to download mode.
PLEASE HELP!!
Do some reading before u start a new thread.
here is the answer.
its the same screen u can use that screen as DL mode and flash from there.
Edit : Check some of these threads.
