I have used 3 different roms and I have overclocked, etc. I had all these great cabs and stuff but when I got finished doing everything I went right back to the same old wm6.... I like it. I do want it to be faster and look better, etc. I guess what I want to know is what do you guys recommend as being the best and necessary cabs to put on the wing. Is it possible only I like wm6....
I think im in the same boat as you. I think the problem for me is that the software is not well integrated into the phone and it just becomes a huge clutter. Granted the cube and the pocketCM is cool but it just gets old..
Compared to this I previously had was the SPB Pocket Plus.
That home software was well integrated and very easy on the eyes.
Also, iv been tired of the bugs that I have with the cooked roms and its driving me nuts. lol No offense to the ROM cookers! Im just too lazy to fix them.
Even with all of the bugs in the ROMs they cook, it still works like 50 times better than the default T-Mobile ROM.
Not only that, the ROMs that are cooked, (and being cooked), are getting better, and well as the battery life too.
The main question you need to ask yourself is: What do you need? Why do you want it?
Do you want your phone to be a showoff? Or do you want some usefull apps?
Main reason that I cook in what I consider useless apps (to me) is that I know other ppl use it, and that the ones using the stuff I dont, start posring why removed that app, I would use your rom if this and that and so on
But I try to keep it to a minumum when cooking a "fully loaded" rom, I could add alot of more stuff, but why?
Im leaning more and more to less is better, but ofcourse, im cooking roms, and its sort off cool to "showoff" to my friends, witch only have nokias and sony ericsson and its like (useless phones )
But its no that cool anymore, my personal rom is quite small and have few apps, only the stuff I use.
cheers
Personally I havent found a rom that Im perfectly happy with. Ive used three of ITJE's roms and theyre great. But after a few days of use I find that things that I use on a daily basis are missing. So my decision was that I should start making my own. I decided that I was going to take the stock tmo, cut it back and add in the things that I want. That way I have the things that I need, more memory for the phone to play with. And the best thing of all is that Im happy.
Yeah I use Itje's roms and they are awesome. But as soon as another lite or superlite version comes out I'm flashing it right away. I like as little as possible on the roms I use so that I can just customize myself.

I would be very interested to know what is in your personal ROM.
I think ITJE's Rom's are great and they basically fulfill my every need.
People are always going to complain about what they want on a rom ..etc.. Sure there are things I'd like taken out of roms and put into roms ...etc... but we aren't in a position to complain when these Roms are being provided to us free of charge after A LOT of hard work by ITJE and other rom cookers....
Everyone needs to Keep in mind, that all this "I want this, I want that" has to be very annoying to the rom cookers when they are donating their time and effort into making the roms... especially ITJE who doesn't even own a Wing .. so he has to put extra effort and time into making Wing roms, because he is unable to test them properly.
I'm interesting in looking into making roms (if I ever find the time) ... but for the moment, we should all just be thankful of what we have, that is FREE

I second that. Well said. And this is coming from a complainer about the missing Internet Sharing feature. I didn't blame ITJE for dropping this from the rom. Just wanted to find out how to put the darn thing back on. If I want it that bad I would just go back to the stock rom. I am still using the Lite rom and loving it. Waiting to put the last one on but you never know when ITJE will surprise us again.
He has enough warnings and caveats so it really is burner beware. You know what you are getting into.

Hey Itje,
Iv used your touchit 2.0 and 2.3 beta! I actually thought the 2.0 was more stable and bug free on my perticular phone. I actually kept 2.0 for a month! llol
Anyways, Is there a ROM which is just bone stock minus the TMOBILE customization? Or really Lite cooked rom? For the Wing ofcourse!
Thanks
I agree I like ITJEs ROMS as well... I think the less is better is more my style I am planning on cooking my own ROM in the near future. I am waiting to learn alot more first though. I don't want to get in over my head... I think that all the extra wares, plus bugs can kinda get to me.
Should be receiving my Diamond Monday. The information on the site is somewhat overwhelming lol. Anyone recommend essential tweaks, applications etc. Thanks!
I'm in the same situation as you.... will receive my Diamond next week and have been reading for 2 days everywhere on the net but mainly here... still i have some questions like you? mayby iäm slow or something ;-) Hope you don't mind me asking some Newbie questions here too...
- If i decide to use to official Rom in my phone can i tweak my phone to the same performance as when i use for example Duttys rom? if the answer is Yes the next question is whats the difference then if i add all the programs to?
(Scared of bricking my new Juwel) ;-)
-could someone point out the benefits/downsides with keeping official rom vs a custom one.
Hope that you don't have anything against that i hijacked your thread abit plbe if so let me know and i will remove the questions. Just that i'm sure many people here allready know the answers to our questions and i don't want to use more space than nessesarry ...
Thanks!

Well, the official ROM is usually somewhat slower and could have some 'problems' diamond users experience. Although sometimes an official update is available which could solve some stuff.
The main advantage of using a custom rom is that it's pre-tweaked. Has some tweaks you cannot get unless you flash a new ROM (so the tweaks are in the ROM itself). Take a different pagepool for example. Try and do a search about what that it.
Usually a new ROM also combines a set of the newest software from HTC. So the newest keyboard app from another HTC update, the new TouchFlo from somewhere else. And that combined gives you the latest software and tweaks.
Also, when you dont like touchflo 3d for example, there are custom roms that have removed that. And perhaps remove all other 'extra' software as well. Those are the so called 'light' roms. Those give you max memory and max speed (if possible) at the cost of less applications running thus removing certain functions. You can then add those functions as you please. So you don't end up with a phone that has stuff for 20 things, while you would only need 8 or something (just a random example).
In the case of the TouchFlo3D, if you dont like that and want something else as your today screen you want to get rid of it to free up some memory!
In all my experience with a lot of HTC phones, the 'best' roms were always custom ones. But it's getting harder and harder to see what's good and what's not. As you have probably seen already there are a lot of roms out there for the Diamond. I can only suggest you go and read what the differences seem to be between the roms.
Also read the comments on the roms and try to get some understanding of the changes made to the different versions.
Try to remember though (and this is always the nasty part) you can remove your warranty by flashing another ROM. Also (with the diamond in rare cases) you could 'brick' your phone. Which is no more than a failed update which makes your device unusable. I must say, with the Diamond that almost seems impossible when you just flash normal custom roms. But the 'risk' is always there in some way.
Read about the correct hard spl when you want to flash (need that one before you can flash a new rom, the hard spl unlocks your phone for custom roms). That would be the first step anyway.
And well, after all this info which isn't a lot at all (but it is!) and might or might not help you, the ROM I use is: Duttys V3.6b Final, the 12mb pagepool version.
You can find it here.
Read the howto flash part! It's in the second post all the way below the changelogs.
Obviously everyone has their favourite rom they use, and they all say theirs is the best. So you should really find that out yourself.
In every rom thread you will find things like 'I tried a lot of roms, but yours is the best!'. Try em out yourself and let you be the judge of that. Just take some time to try them out and see what you think is important in a ROM.
Thanks... answered my questions
Thanks alot for your answers it made it all clear for me now... !!
Now i only have to wait for my diamond ... and i have to say this Forum makes the Diamond even more usefull and valuable...
Thanks again...
Is there a preferred custom ROM amongst users here? BTW, which tweak program are you referring to? I've seen quite a few on here? Thanks.
i would def load the "background on all tab pages" tweak...this allows you to have your Home wallpaper on all the other tab pages.

Is that part of that Advanced Config application?
"What Custom Rom is the best" and "What tweaks should I use" are both very subjective so we don't allow them for this reason.
Best recommendation I (or anyone) can give is to read about the things you think you want to use and ask for clarification in those threads.
Hi
I have tried many different roms and are currently at dutty 2.6.
How far has wm6.5 rom come?
I wish to start a thread where we discuss what is best of 6.1 or 6.5
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=500523
you guys rock
The way you take no prisoners with people who might not have time to trawl through a couple of thousand posts before asking a genuine question. You guys really are as hard as nails... no scratch that, maybe youre inadequate teenagers struggling to find a meaning to life beyond a slightly disappointing smartphone?
Hi there,
Don't judge everyone by some people's attitude on here...
It is a tough question though, but it would be good to hear peoples views on whether they prefer wm 6.1 or wm 6.5 - and why
I'm just changing from Miri's 6.5 v 5.2 rom back to Dutty's 6.1 v2.6 EXTREME, purely for the simple fact that I love the customisation that Dutty has done to Manilla and the integration to facebook/contacts seems better on Dutty's rom than Miri's.
Don't get me wrong, both roms are constantly being developed and both roms have their advantages, but for me, Dutty's 6.1 v2.6 hits it (and 2.7 will be better!!!)
I'm sure there are more features to 6.5 and it is supposed to be better screen operations for finger rather than pen, but the only thing I really noticed is the new start menu, which is good, but not very customisable.
Been round 2-3 times with these 2 roms, but think I always end up going back to Dutty's.
Give them both a try though as it is each persons perspective on what they prefer from their HD.
I am not being hard and I don't mind helping, just look at some of my posts, but the problem is every couple of days someone asks: Is this rom better for me? Is X rom faster than Y rom? Can you recommend a rom for me?
Just do a search in this rom forum to see how many have been asking the same thing OVER and OVER, or better yet just look at the last few pages!!
The thing is we are all here for the same reason, we all want the fastest, greatest etc, but it is all subjective. The rom that is perfect for me is maybe not even close to good for you....
As for being a teenager, lol, I wish
tru and i feel all of u but the question is which rom do u prefer .... i havnt tried 6.5 but i would like to read reviews on the differences....and no opinons on wat u like for urself who cares wat u want this post is basic info on the differences between 6.1 and 6.5.
its funny cause u sr and jr members are here to help us newbies out and u dont... i had to teach myself how to mode my hd and how to change the roms now im teaching myself on how to mod and create my own rom.... i do wana thank u guys for creating these roms but u guys are here to help not talk slick but please everyone google ur questions first before just postin anywhere... but i feel this is a descent thread
i havent tried 6.5 and im not going to
when 6.5 is released properly then the good version will be properly put on the hd
until then its 6.1
My goodness, lets everyone just start a new thread for no other reason than laziness to read and experiment, dont encourage this kind topics as it sets a bad example!
seams to me that "IT" guys have a chip on there shoulder, all we are looking for is a bit help. We are not all computer experts. We all want the same thing though. The best and fastest rom. It does not matter what is good for me is not good for you. We are simply asking a question. And you are the guys to answer the questions. Yes you could do a search and get about 10,000 answers. Do you have time to go thru all them for the one you are looking for. COME ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Once again this is heading down the path of another useless thread as everyone is talking off topic again.
This is why MOD's delete threads like this as they just go round in circles with people complaining etc etc etc.
If you want this thread to remain open, start talking about the topic again, otherwise thread will close very soon. I'm actually surprised its still open.
Anyway, ON TOPIC, all 6.5 is a facelift to 6.1 with no real great improvement.
Thats my 2 cents!!
So true am new to all of this, I've been trying to put the 6.5 rom on htc hd and finding help is not easy.

I don't understand why everyone decline the question. In my understanding the question just ask about the advantages of the 6.5 in comparison to 6.1 ROMs here.
May be this question question the high-number-must-better attidude of many of us but for me this question is adequate and reasonable. No reason to harm somebody.

Maybe this helps: ll you need to know about Windows Mobile 6.5
Relating to this article:
1. Windows Mobile becomes Windows Phone
Surely no reason for our choice.
2. All new menus
6.1: Manula, manila menus, new start menu etc. from HTC
6.5: honeycomb today screen, new menus etc.
Both solutions are more finger friendly -> Its you choice.
3. Flick gestures
Like HTC with manila and some other options on 6.1, microsoft try the same with 6.5. -> Its you choice.
4. Better browser
Most 6.1 ROMs here use Opera and 6.5 the new internet explorer. -> Its you choice.
7. Better looking lock screen
There are many 3th party applications which allow this also on 6.1 ROMs. -> Its you choice.
8. Improved e-mail and messaging
I didn't check this with current 6.5 ROMs but it seems to be, that HTC (on old 6.1 ROMs) made the same.
So, after all this points, for me there is no big advantage between the new 6.5 ROM and the old 6.1 ROMs with HTC applications like manila.
It's only your choice, if you prefer manila or honeycombs, the solutions from HTC or Microsoft.

For me it was the lock screen in WM6.5 that sold it to me. I used to use S2U2 but found it a little bit buggy and would sometimes crap-out when using flipit/gyrator etc etc. The default WM6.1 lock does a job but it's exactly pretty looking.
But the WM 6.5 lock? 'Tis glorious! I'm loving being able to jump straight to different notifications and it just looks so good as well.
Other aspects of WM6.5
I was using Dutty's v2.6 (and had been using Dutty's ROMs since the first Xtreme Test came out) and couldn't recommend it highly enough; it really is a fantastic ROM. I am missing a lot of the nice little features the the Rhodium Manila brings in.
I'm currently using Miri's v6.1 Premium (and thinking about upgrading to the new v7.0) with TF3D running on top of it. I ran with the Titanium interface for a bit but Manila if definitely better for me and the way I use my phone.
But part of me thinks I might just go back to Dutty's v2.6. As I mentioned above, there a just so many lovely little features in the Rhodium ROMs cooked by Dutty that I'm missing. No sleight on Miri's work you understand; there are many bugs reported when trying to integrate Rhodium with WM6.5 so I think the final advice has to be that if you want all the niceness of the Rhodium ROMs (and believe me, they are nice!) you need to run WM6.1 underneath.
I guess we'll just have to wait for the Diamond2/Touch Pro2 to get their WM6.5 upgrades in the Summer to see how Manila3 works alongside WM6.5.

That is exactly what I wanted to hear! Magic!
I used Duttys 2.4 ROM earlier, loved it.
I installed Davideucks wm6.5 rom yesterday, I love the speed of the Titanium menu, feels really smooth, so does the start-menu and mail inbox.
But like dom_mitchell1 i miss some small stuff from manila/duttys ROM.
Things I dont like about WM 6.5 is that I dont think we cant customzie the main Titanium menue, yet? For instance I would like it to launch Opera instead of IE.
I liked the new Manila calendar better.
Today screen only shows one appointment. I dont know why they dont use all that empty space they left in the lock-screen, its perfect for showing multiple appointments.
Moving icons the way you want them in the new sart-menu is a hassle.
Hearing that Dutty is moving to 6.5 is really great.
I bet he will bring great stuff to it.
OFFTOPIC: IMO, the biggest factor for chosing either wm6.1 or wm6.5 is personal choice, based on several factors: functionality, looks, speed, customization, compatibility. Thats why it is really difficult to chose the perfect ROM for everybody. This debate between newer members asking this sort of questions and older members becoming sick and tired of answering them is old and it will last forever, I guess. No matter how many times you say to a new member: go read wiki, etc, there will ALWAYS be smb. new coming and asking the same question tomorrow. I, personally, prefer to help instead of suggesting: go read, but sometimes I am way too lazy to present a proper answer, hence I just ignore the question. I believe this should be the solution to this, but everybody treats it differently.
ONTOPIC: I have tried 20+ ROMs for HD, most of them wm6.1, but now i'm on Davide wm6.5 rom and i dont wanna go back. why?
at the beginning its the looks. I guess i just grew tired of the dark, black HTC customization. Also, manila was not suitable for me, i didnt use 70% of the features, i guess: didnt use favourite people tab (its easier to dial directly from phone app.), didnt use financial info tab (not interested), didnt use internet tab (i can easily just open Opera from programs) etc.
Wm6.5 is finally moving at an acceptable speed, the Start menu looks great (although it lacks customization mostly), and from the home screen i can listen to music, see photos, see the wheather (by using titanium weather 2.2) and I can use some HD-quality pictures as background. Also, email, sms lists look neater, more classy. the softkey menus are bigger, more finger-friendly. These are reasons enough for me to use wm6.5 and not come back to 6.1. Not to mention being a smart-ass among my friends with HTC HD and stock ROM.
So if you go rather towards new, imperfect technically-wise ROMs, I advice you to go to 6.5. It is fully utilisable. I actually used the previous Davide ROM for a week!!, which is quite a lot of time in my recent days. If you prefer much functionality and perfect, 100% reliable device, go for wm6.1 roms..

Yes, like 6.1 was a facelift to 6.0, and 6.0 to 5.0. So what? The latest beta versions of 6.5 are clearly faster than 6.1 and you do not need TF anymore, which by itself slows down WM.
fair question. my advice is to sprite backup ur data. try out each new 6.5 rom cook then, if u don't like it, go back to ur previous rom & do #1 spritr restore.
personally, I found early 6.5 roms really slow & unresponsive so I too abandoned the concept for extreme 2.6.
I have decided to wait til it's officially released. I don't think it's anywhere near ready. oh, and it didn't recognize my sdd card.
the big improvements for me were the big X in top right corner (close button) and the opera like IE browser.
Hi all, I have had a search around and cant find the answer to my question. I expect to get flamed, but here goes.
Having access to all the great roms here, I still dont know which to go for. Many have asked the same thing, but the answer is always the same try them out for yourself. I appreciate the hard work that goes into cooking the roms (or maybe I dont as I would never attempt it) and no one wants to say which is better, but to those of us who are either noobs or just want an improved kaiser the time involved trying them all out can be prohibitive.
I would love to have a new rom that does what I want and then to be able to donate to the chef for the work they put in to developing it. I use my phone so much I really cant be bothered saving data/programs and then re-stalling them until I find a rom that suits. I appreciate the problems that everyones needs are different, but are they so different? Full of features, reliable, fast as poss and looks good, this may describe most roms but I dont know without trying them all or be told which people prefer. If a chef knows that most people dont want a particular feature but definately want another they can see by the downloads which rom is the most popular. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery (coupled with innovation).
I have an unlocked orange UK, WM6, rom 1.81.61.2 WWE (dated 09/20/07), Radio 1.27.14.32, but really dont know what would be the best feature rich, fast, best looking, impressive rom.
I stand ready to be charred
Just randomly install one..
That is your answer.
There is no straight jacket answer because truth is like a diamond. did you get it my friend..
So if I happen to install one that Im not happy with, I may think "oh is that the best on offer, I wont bother again". Im afraid it seems like everyone has to re-invent the wheel in trying a rom out.
Have you installed a rom and then thought wow what a load of rubbish? If people dont know then more will have the same experience, just trying to avoid that. Dare I say that the cooking of roms is not my main interest, but appreciate that it is to others and also appreciate the work that goes into them. Am I being selfish in wanting something that is stable with as I said lots of features etc? Probably, but the same can be said about anything if your not an expert.
Im not trying to be a pain just want some advice to save a lot of time and messing about
Can't give you more info than others as it's all a flash try if don't like flash something different.
If don't have the time to do this the best bet is just to stay stock.
We all install ROMs once in a while don't find it fits our needs yet the one thing we know is that it takes the flasher about 10mins to flash then an hour to play compared to the average ROM taking days to build with having to flash @ every change...
Hey
No need to fear as I was also the same like you when I joined XDA, it is overwhelming seeing the number of custom ROMS out there as well as the extreme amount of information on XDA itself. But after a while you get used to it and draw a simple conclusion, you simply cannot absorb it ALL unless you dedicate your entire life to it.
However you can slowly learn the ropes about the ROMS and proceed.
To answer your question: at the moment it seems like the WM 6.5 roms are the best looking, most feature rich and quite quick to boot, however to me they seem to a bit more unstable and open to flaws than the WM 6.1 roms which have the benefit of being cooked for longer and thus have had the number for bugs reduced. I have used two 6.5 ROMs and have not been able to get them to work with complete functionality I require. So I've decided to wait a while.
So to start of with you should probably find one of the popular WM 6.1 roms (just sort the rom forum by views or replies and you're bound to see whats popular) and flash that to your phone. I am currently using Sakajati's Hyperdragon IV and it is awesome and stable, but you can look around as there is no guarantee that that will work as excellently for you as it has for me. However by using the 6.1 rom I have learnt a fair bit also with the help of the XDA forums and search function. I am now competent enough to solve issues that arise from newer buggier roms etc.
So yeah as the previous guys have mentioned, its trial and error to a certain extent. What works for me may not work for you and it is best to start of with something a bit more stable in favour of features etc. In addition once you find out about the best applications to enhance the phone and use it in conjunction with the cooked ROMs they become even better. I for example am using the 6.1 ROM with SPB Mobile shell which really makes the phone IMHO so awesome that I don't feel the need to move over to a 6.5 rom as everything on my phone works and it provides me with the perfect and efficient functionality that I require.
In the end if you can't land on a custom ROM to your liking, don't give up there might be one out there that works, it just takes patience and a bit of work.
Thanks for the replies, fishzn appreciate the advice, tried looking for the hyperdragon rom but appears to have been taken off. Not sure where to get it from? Tried the authors site, but log in problems seem to be affecting many there.
Thanks again.
Here is the thread on sakajati's forums with the download links for the ROM, you need to register on that forum to download. Don't know about the login problems though, my account is logged in with no issues really. Anyway YGPM
i have gone back to a 6.1 rom having tried several 6.1s before then a few 6.5s.
i found the 6.1 more reliable and stable (never got messages working properly on 6.5). i avoid the lite/fast ones also now as i didnt really notice any speed increase but did notice that i was forever looking for cabs to add back in what was missing. i have a 8gb card loaded with apps and expect them all to work.
just give one a go. you get a feel pretty quick for how it runs you own stuff.
use a good backup program (i use spb backup) and keep a full copy (or 2) on a pc of your sd card.
WARNING: changing roms is very addictive, it will take away your free time (but it is fun)
Stop being a little girl (unless you are one) and jump in..
Each rom has a thread and in that thread people talk about it. Read or jump in head first, either way you could have found the rom of your dreams by now..
Hello all.
I'm on the hunt for a ROM. A very specific kind of ROM. Free from any HTC crap, no Sense, no TouchFlo, no Manilla. No Add-ons from the chefs. No edited icons laced with electric blue (Energy ROMs, I'm looking at you).
I found one, a ROM so perfect I was almost in shock, by Da_G. It's a 6.5.3.3 ROM, and it's exactly what I wanted. Almost. I can' get MMS support. Tried ArcSoft, didn't work. Posted a thread asking for help, didn't help me. GPS support is awfully slow, as well. No work has been done on it in a few months, and there's a few bugs as well. PMs offering cash for a few simple fixes have gone unanswered, so I'm here, asking for something very, very specific.
If there's a chef amongst you, who could take whatever the latest and greatest 6.5.5 build is, toss in the needed support for the hardware (camera, ambient light sensor, wifi, PTT button, etc), and that's it. No icon editing, no dumping all the start menu shortcuts into folders (I hate having to undo that), no taskbar skinning (or any skinning for that matter).
And not to knock on the ROMs already posted. The Leo Firestorm is one of my favorites, and the Energy ones have tones of options, but after I found Da_G's first one, it became obvious that's what I wanted.
If anyone out there feels like throwing me a bone, I'm sure I'm not the only one who use it.
Thanks all for your time, keep up the good work - I'll keep downloading it.

hope you can find your perfect rom, but i will try this WM6.5_28205 【Da_G Clean ROM】
I was also tempted by Da_G Rom but did not flash it as I figured out that there would need some tweaking for a TP2 7373, and that it seems tha Da_G would not have time for a dayly support.
An alternative is Cosmik Debris, WM6.1, no manila, solid, very fast, excellent support from the developper, he even customizes application he does not need when other users ask. After flashing it I have realized that the upgrade from WM6.1 to 6.5 was not worth it, 6.5 is too slow with regards to 6.1.
The Rom thread is in my signature.

have you tried this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=674739
no mms support, but are you sure you need one? i mean come on, who does not have an email these days, and why not attach a picture to an email instead of an mms? traffic-wise it's the same amount of data anyhow.
as far as the latest build is concerned, you will simply NOT find a bug-free version, but the one i'm offering is pretty much stable, as it is based on official HTC rom.

No need to put down someone else's work if you don't like it. People like you (that like bare bones ROMs) are few and far between. If you like a ROM like that, then just build yourself a ROM.. or use the perfect example posted above by Da_G.
Here ya go. Used to roll my own ROMs with various kitchens on my hermes. Doesn't take too long to learn, should be able to get exactly what you want out of it to boot.
I guess I should clarify a little bit.
First off, I'm not trying to talk down the Energy ROMs. You do great work with them, your customization just isn't my thing. Sorry, I didn't mean to offend.
Yeah, I know nothing is going to be bug free. There's just a couple odd ones that I can't seem to really work around - the accelerometer doesn't work in the texting app, and doesn't work well in general. =(
And yeah, I'm actually kind of big on MMS. I've only got one friend (my roommate actually) that has a smartphone, and can get email. I used to swap pictures all the time.
@ Aziraphale
I might try yours, but it takes a while to get all the settings back to normal, all my ringtones back on, all the stock pictures/wallpapers out, email set back up, etc. At some point I'll give it a shot.
@ Toleraen
I'll take a look through the threads you sent me to, but I somehow feel that building a ROM is waaaay over my head. Who knows though, so I won't give up before I try.
Thanks for the input everyone. I'd have replied sooner, but had to leave for some family business.
(And I do realize I'm in the minority for a bare-bones ROM. I'm always in the minority for what I want with my devices, it seems.)
