Hello everyone. I wonder if someone can help me on my problem. I recently flashing my HD with ManiaHD ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513876) and goes to 1.56 Olinex SPL before. I have 2 problem :
- 1st : a bad screen color when put on my phone (become normal after ON/OFF the screen)
- 2nd : I trying to instal TomTom 7, and the installation (.cab) locked in loading bar (with the hourglass turn and turn again ...). After that, i try to instal another program (always in .cab) and the installation can't run (no error message but the screen is the same with cross in the right upper corner.
Someone have had this problem before? Thanks a lot.

Your bad green screen effect is caused by not following correct procedure to flash rom. You most likely tried to flash rom without using USPL or HSPL. Read cRaCKwHoRe's guide and also section in wiki on green screen which can be found in this page
Thanks for your help. But I'm in 1.56 HSPL Olinex. I try to falshing with the USPL v2.5 and it works find now. Thank a lot

You don't need to use both USPL and HSPL. You use one or the other.
Glad you got it fixed though

When the HardSPL's progress bar comes(on pc) it gives a message on my phone " Enterbootloader.exe....This may harm your device...Do you want to continue.." I pressed yes & the process stopped & gave an error on pc "Error 246 Device not responding" & on phone screen showed the bootloader with

Have the same [Error 246]! How can I definitly fix it?
Hi,
first of all, sorry for my poor English. I try to explain my problem so good I can... I hope you can help me.
I have the "[Error 246] Device not responding" problem.
I have used a lot the "search"-function and I have found a lot of posts which propose the same solution "restart the Rom upgrade another time". Ok I did it and my PDA works very well, but now I would like to solve the problem radicaly... How can I solve this problem? Should I use SPLexploit (I have found the guide on trinityguides.info) and then reflash a Hard-Spl?
Thx a lot

Before flash manually enter bootloader. After start the rom update utility. (As www.trinityguides.info suggest). You will not get error 246 any more

Here is written to flash rom you should manually enter to bootoader. In this case, you will not have error 246.
Most of the people know this, so they have not this problem
Those who not manually enter bootloader can get error 246, and this way of flashing is not as safe as the manual bootloader way.
(because in this case you use the spl uploaded by RUU, not the hard-spl on the PDA)
Ok, now I really understand
Ok, this is a very good anwser, short and clear... thanks...

I found a way to solve the problem 246 go in you mobile device, -->start -> settings-> connections ->USB to PC open this. Remove the hook @ Advanced networksettings activation! ---> click OK--> close
try again the bootloader etc, then on the tricolore reboot screen is shown USB in the lower white field and the bootloader can do its routine complete.
Have Fun with flashing the phones!

Hi,
Although this is my first post, I have been lurking for many years.
I have successfully flashed a Kaiser and a Diamond in the past so I feel reasonably confident.
However, I am having real problems with my blackstone. I have followed the instructions until point 5, when I enter bootloader it is showing 1.14000 etc - I then try to follow the rest of the instructions. It will go into the rom updater utility, the screen will go grey and show 0% but then nothing happens and I eventually have to go into recovery.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Caroline

Sounds like you haven't installed either HSPL or USPL before trying to flash rom.
I'd recommend going down the HSPL route. (Latest HSPL can be found in my signature). Once downloaded flash to phone then you are ready to flash to cooked roms
Hi,
Thanks for replying. I just tried that and have the same problem.

Go into bootloader. If it says 1.14.0000 you are ready to go to step (5c). When you connect usb cable to pc does the text at bottom change from 'serial' to 'USB'?
Possible problems could be:
1. You haven't disabled anti-virus
2. Drivers on you pc need updated. Download step (1g) and go to (0).
If USPL is successful it should state SPL v 1.15.USPL in bootloader. If HSPL is successful it should state SPL v 1.15 OliNex

No prob's, just glad you got it sorted
Hello.
I have messed up seriously right now. I've flashed and flashed, original ROMs and Duttys, trying to get it to work.
I first got Duttys ROM flashed, but had problems with screnn-color and Flightmode.
Then I flashed directly from Duttys to Original 1.56 ROM, and during flashing something happend (don't know what).
Bottum line is that when starting phone, the screen says:
----------------------------
RUUNBH
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.54.0000
MicroP-BlackStone (LED) v6
Upgrade ROM code error
Please try again
Serial
----------------------------
And that is with normal start (1 push on the start-button).
What to do now? All i want is to get back to original ROM, 1.56 or 1.14. Just so the phone is working.
Thanks A LOT for ANY help I can get.... I'm really stucked now...
in order to flash 1.56 based roms you have to flash hspl 1.56
hspl is not backwards compatible so if you want to flash back to an older rom based on older spl you must flash hspl 1.14 (or whatever)
check cracwhore's dummies guide to flashing roms explains everything
download hspl 1.56 olinex and uspl 2.5 from the stick thread named tut dummies guide to flashing..(by crackwhore)
steps there after are..
1..remove the sd card
2.. startup ur fone nd let it go to the screen as described by u..
3.. connect it via usb cable to ur pc(install necessar drivers from the same guide as mentioned above). If all goes ok till now ull see "usb" written in the white part of the screen as described by u and u can move on to the next step.. if not ill remain "serial". incase it remains serial then ull hv to downgrade ur drivers in vista os by drivers provided in the thread.
4. run uspl 2.5. U'll see 1.56.0000 change to 1.xx.uspl
5. Now run the HSPL wrapper u hv dnloaded..
6. phone reboots and ull see 1.56.olinex
if all works as described u can flash any 1.56 cooked rom without any difficulties..
feel free to ask ne ques that arise during the process
Hello and thanks for help.
I've read cracwhore's dummies guide about 20 times, but I don't know what to do now.
In the HSPL-thread it says that I "must Have Phone Synced with PC in Windows Mobile!!!". How to do that - when the device does not even start up? I only get the tricolor-screen and what I posted erlier.

I've also got the same problem.
I was on Dutty's 3.9 XT, but decided to revert to standard WWE 1.56. I flashed the Std 1.56 ROM successfuly, and then tried to restore the ship SPL 1.54 using the card flash method. This failed, and now I'm stuck on the bootlader screen forever.
No matter what I do the THD always goes to bootloader (red-green-blue-white screen), with following text:
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.54.0000
MicroP-BlackStone (LED) v6
Upgrade ROM code error

When I start blac_uspl.exe (USPL 2.5), a window flashes for a split second and then nothing else happens.
When I try to run HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.exe and step through the preliminary screens, the Verify that you want to update ROM version screen has the From Image Version as blank and the To Image Version as 1.56.Olinex. When I click to commit the flash the THD screen switches to white with a progress indicator that always stays at 0% until it times out. Recovery does nothing and the same thing always happens. Using Vista64. .Net installed and fine. I can't use the card method (BLACIMG.NBH) - the system also stays on "Loading .... 0%" and nothing else happens.
When I try to flash anything (have tried HSPL1.56, Dutty's 3.9 ROM, stock 1.54 spl) using the card method, the system says "Loading . . ." and hangs there forever without a progress indicator showing.
Please help!

Hey
My first post - weee
I been reading and learning from this forum for quite some time now. And I have flash my rom a few times succesfully.
But I upgrade recently to wm 6.5 with the original rom for HTC.
Its not as good as my 6.1 rom, so i have tried to install a different ROM with wm 6.5.
My problem is that it starts ok - the tricolor screen comes and it says USB in the bottom of the screen. The screen then turns white and a status bar is shown (and on the screen of my pc as well). It says 0 % and stays there for 5 minuts or so. Then it says Error 262 and the I have take out the battery and start med phone again.
When i remove the battery and starts the phone im back to my old wm 6.5 original rom - so no harm done.
Why cant i flash my phone ?
I have tried (after reading a lot) to
- unlock the CID ?
- Hard reset
- Soft reset
- using a different rom
Am I missing something or ?
Try flashing from the card rather than PC. or from PC but take out the sdcard. Also make sure you have Hard-SPL still.

take out sd card
do hard reset
do wipe data
go to step 0 and begin with unlocker
flash stock rom
now flash rom you would like.
worst case, if you have trouble flashing it - key--combo to bootloader and flash/hardspl from there
Thx
I unlocked the phone using HARD SPL after removing the SD card and flashed it.
It works
Thx for the help.
Do you have a HardSPL? If not, then you won't be able to flash. You need to do some more reading.

YOU need to do some more reading. Specifically one post above... the OP had fixed his issue with HardSPL...
I had that problem a couple of times actually. For me, it was that my port isn't quite as tight as it used to be. (That's what she said) So I just have to make double sure that my phone doesn't move during the flashing sequence AT ALL. Otherwise the same problem will occur.
Hope this helps!
whoops same problem to me. I don't read so good when it's friday night. I stand by my advice though for future problems

This will tell you everything you need to know. You will need to flash HardSPL onto your phone first then you can start flashing radio's and rom's till you find the one you like.

If that's all you can get from your phone then indeed it's at the bootloader screen. Try reading the Kaiser Stuck at Bootloader (aka Tri Color or Red, Green, Blue Screen)? Solutions Here thread - took me about 20 s to find using search. ALL the info you need is here if you browse the wiki thoroughly and search. Good luck with your searching and reading up!
