Please HELP. SPL 1.09 and stuck

hi guys,
i was excited about the new Radio upgrade, so i tried to flash it. i got an error, because my SPL is 2.05. so i tried to unlock the phone using jerpelea's guide, flash to 1.09 -->success, then WWE (1.10) but an error occured saying invalid vendor ID during WWE flash. now i have SPL 1.09 on my phone and my phone is stuck on the 2nd boot screen of jerpelea's WM6.1 beta 4 ROM. my phone is fully unlocked using jerpelea's unlock guide, that's how i got to install SPL 1.09 successfully. how can i recover my phone? please help.
Update 1: i tried to flash back the original dopod 595 WM5 ROM. i mixed the RUU updater from the latest official ROM with the nbh from dopod WM5 ROM. the flashing works. when it's 100%, the phone reboots and, i got back to the same problem. stuck at 2nd/3rd boot screen. i now have IPL-0.90 and SPL 1.09 on my phone. Please help me to recover my phone. i've tried to hard SPL shown in the wiki guide, doesnt work. says invalid vendor ID crap. i really dont know what to do now.
Update 2: when the device boots, it stucks on the 2nd/3rd boot screen and if the USB cable is attached, for a brief moment, windows can detect the phone and i can even browse the content of the phone from my PC. but after that, the device disconnects itself and just remain stuck at the 2nd/3rd boot screen. the device appears to be totally freezed/hang. even the LED charging indicator will not turn off when i unplug the device from computer
i believe what i need to do now is to make a nbh image that is signed to i dont get any corrupted image message when trying to flash. i used HTC ROM editor to mix and match the SPL and IPL file so that i can downgrade the SPL to 2.05 and upgrade it again later. but i dont know how to sign nbh files.

If i were you I'd use this one =)

I think I know what do you mean. My device was in very same state like yours few mnonths ago.
Try to run mtty and the command "info 2" without quotes.
Do not forget to disable USB on activesync settings before running mtty.
You will get an answer which includes the CID of your device.
If not (this was my case), you have to send it to the repair center probably.
My device CID was Qtek_A07 (RUS) and I have tried to instal the first official WWE 1.34 ROM update (combined from SPL.nbh and ROM.nbh) and it replaced only the SPL, and the ROM update crashed.
There was not way out so I sent it to the repair center.
The WWE images are expecting the device with CID Qtek_Z12.

why did you format ?
try to reflash 1.09 spl
and after this wwe one of 1.34 roms to get 1.10 spl

2) OS won't load, so can't use any of the ActiveSync-based methods for downgrading to an older version, such as 1.04.
3) CID appears to be corrupted, as per the earlier output pasted.

I think that comment was really unnecessary!
As a n00b I know how hard it is to understand what’s happening. I did read the wiki’s and still I didn’t get HOW TO upgrade a ROM until I found a great post in FutureShock’s thread

On the Mteor start the explorer and in the root directory (press UP once) find SSPL.EXE en start it.
If the Mteor won't start the program and there is an error like "insufficient trustlevel".
You need to remove the application lock on your Mteor.
Run SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe on your PC with Activesync working and then install SP_AllowCertificateInstall.cab on the Mteor.
You will find those two in the .rar in ".\opt Software\Unlock Tools"
Then redo from the start.
Then, Have fun !! (Futureshock & DarkDirk)
P.S. works on a BREE100 with IPL-0.90 and SPL-2.05.

with all the respect what you do for this community, isn't taht you who advice us to update the SPL before trying your images?
in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=384398 you should probably higlight that the update should be done only on WWE devices.

i did try to read as much as i could but apparently i didnt come across that. when i flashed to SPL 1.09, the device booted up just fine. it is when i try to update to WWE 1.10, the update process failed and bricked my phone. for your information, i was following the exact steps described by you in your unlocking/SSPL guide. you mentioned upgrade to SPL 1.09, then WWE 1.10. this is exactly what i did. i dont know what went wrong. im sure if im as knowlegable as you are, i wouldnt have screwed up my phone. my bad.
just to be fair, your method did work when i updated my dopod 595 (WWE device) to your WM6.1 beta 4 ROM. but i never upgraded my SPL to 1.10. i only thought of upgrading SPL when you posted the new radio release and that's where i screwed up.
anyway, what is important here is, is my phone unrecoverable? im reading the links you posted as i type, and i'll give the methods. maybe based on your experience, you could suggest some ways to do it. thanks.

if it sais A07 then just flash rusian 1.34 rom and enerithing will be fine
application unlock it
run sspl 77.7
flash wm6.1
if it says enithing else you need to locate your original rom
till now i found that it sais a07 in most cases

it depends on the info displayed on terraterm
for A07 you can use the russian rom to recover

this is what i got from terraterm. same as mtty.

i did flashed back to my original ROM after the first stuck in WM screen incident. and amazingly the flashing process works after several mix and match. after the original (WM5) ROM completed flashing, my IPL is downgraded back to 0.9 and SPL is still 1.09, and im still stuck at the WM logo screen (this time WM5 logo).

terraterm is a tool like mtty
what is your orignal rom??

i tried SD card flashing too yesterday. it says not allowed. i have already flashed over the original dopod 595 ROM and my phone is now WM5. the flashing is 100% successful, but it is still stuck at the second boot WM screen.
i think im in a really screw up position now. i have SPL 1.09 and IPL 0.9. i dont know what is corrupted now. is it the CID? SPL?

cid you can check with mtty and info 2...
if that so... just do what i have wroted in pm...
you could also just try the old htc rom (w. SPL 2.05)

both mtty and terraterm give me the same msg when i type info 2. it says time out (refer above for exact error message).
the original dopod 595 rom has SPL2.05. and it was successfully flashed into the phone. when the phone reboots, it is still stuck at 2nd boot screen (WM logo). i checked, the SPL is still 1.09, but IPL has been downgraded to 0.9.

uh oh... i think i may have bricked my phone...

so i was trying to revert back to the stock SPL, and i downloaded Restore-SPL-1.15, and i opened it up and renamed the file to BLACIMG and placed it on the storage card and flashed it and now, the phone loads in bootloader mode and says error and is stuck on the loading... screen i think i really ****ed myself over... can any of you guys give me some advice on what to do?

As far as I know, you must flash stock ROM before going back to the stock SPL. Your problem is probably caused by having stock SPL with non-stock ROM.
Somebody with more experience might offer a better solution, but I would suggest you to read about USPL, I believe USPL is the cure for your problem, read about the details.

So have you successfully flashed the stock SPL? If so, try flashing a stock rom now, use the SD card method (blacimg in root storage card + hold vol up/down and power), if this works then its what vizier said, you can not run a non-stock rom on a stock SPL (without USPL). But then you will be able to continue flashing .

i took out the SD card and put the stock 1.56 rom and flashed it and everything is fine now, im running the stock 1.56 rom and SPL 1.54 whhheeeewwww

Looks like you have upgraded your SPL to 1.54. This is ok. You can now install any 1.56 based rom whether it is the stock HTC rom or a cooked rom. If you are wanting to install a cooked rom you will need to run USPL before flashing it. Read the guide in my signature for more information. It covers this step-by-step

look when i open uspl its ok
but when it begins with flashin after 1 second the hd goes black
and than comes this screen again
i am trying to flash the L26 rom v2.1 but its not working
i had changed the name of the rom from RUU_signed.ngh to BLACIMG.ngh
and put that in the storage card. i always did it like this but i had used uspl for the first time. do you think that if i use a other rom like dutty 2.9 on the storage card with uspl it work? or is there something wrong with the uspl of how i use it.
when i get to the uspl it asks me of i want to flash my rom
normaly when i flash a rom i only see:
BLACIMG.NBH
but now i see:
BLACIMG.NBH
BOOTLOADER: ..
SPLAS1:..
RADIO_V2:

It's actually quite hard to flash a rom from the SD card when using SPL... you have to remove and insert the SD card at appropriate times... I would recommend doing it over USB as also suggested by many others.
Have you tried loading said rom over USB when phone is in bootloader and USPL is loaded?

I think I've done the same thing. I have stock SPL and a non-stock ROM... I'm on SPL 1.14... I'm a bit stuck because nothing will seem to load on to via USB...
I tried running "RUU_BlackStone_HTC_WWE_1.14.405.3_Radio_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship.exe", but the phone simply reboots to the bootloader, the bottom text changes to 'USB', but it goes no further. It eventually shows Error 262 (comms error).
Any ideas?

Im about to flash my ROM from original 1.56 to Duttys new, but when i enter bootloader the white loadingscreen gets stuck in my face. Nothing happens and i need to remove the battery to shut down device. Anyone? Freakin frustratin´.

Before I flashed my first rom, I read wiki.xda-developers.com to make sure I understood what I was doing, and used the search button, instead of risking turning my phone into a paper weight.
Since then, Crackwhore has written a very helpful post at the top of this forum about how to use HSPL and USPL to allow you to flash roms.

yeah i know all that. not my first time flashing a phone but the first time it got stuck loading the bootloader. and specially when i´ve only used the HTC update.

you mean you couldn't get to boot loader page?

So you already have HSPL 1.56 installed (or have SPL1.54 and used USPL)?
If you have HSPL you could try renaming the .nbh file to blacimg.nbh and copying it to the SD card and entering bootloader

Same problem here. Stuck in bootloader mode. Loading progress indicator never moves beyond 0%. Have always used the card method (blacimg.nbh), but this time it doesn't work and nothing flashes. No matter what I do the system goes to tricolour bootloader screen and says ROM update error. Have tried 3 microSD cards, all in working order, so this isn't the problem. try dnloading the rom again amd try.
the file might be corrupt

Have tried that many times. File is not corrupt. I'm getting really worried this is now a brick...

OK, if you can get phone into bootloader, it is not bricked
What does your SPL say in bootloader? Do you get any errors when trying to flash rom? Are you using USPL or HSPL? If USPL, you have to use it before every flash to new rom or radio. If HSPL, are you using correct version?

Was on Dutty's 3.9 XT, but decided to revert to standard WWE 1.56. I flashed the Std 1.56 ROM successfuly, and then tried to restore the ship SPL 1.54 using the card flash method. This failed, and now I'm stuck on the bootlader screen forever.
No matter what I do the THD always goes to bootloader (red-green-blue-white screen), with following text:
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.54.0000
MicroP-BlackStone (LED) v6
Upgrade ROM code error

When I start blac_uspl.exe (USPL 2.5), a window flashes (Vista64) for a split second and then nothing else happens. The Vista64 system's USBs work with THD and have been used to sync over past few months.
When I try to run HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.exe and step through the preliminary screens, the Verify that you want to update ROM version screen has the From Image Version as blank and the To Image Version as 1.56.Olinex. When I click to commit the flash the THD screen switches to white with a progress indicator that always stays at 0% until it times out. Recovery does nothing and the same thing always happens. Using Vista64. .Net installed and fine. I can't use the card method (BLACIMG.NBH) - the system also stays on "Loading .... 0%" and nothing else happens.
When I try to flash anything (have tried HSPL1.56, Dutty's 3.9 ROM, stock 1.54 spl) using the card method, the system says "Loading . . ." and hangs there forever without a progress indicator showing.

Your SPL says 1.54.0000. When you try and run USPL.exe have you remembered to disable your antivirus?
Have you tried usb method instead of card for flashing rom?
I know you have said that youi have used usb for syncing, but when in bootloader does it change from 'serial' to 'usb' when you connect HD to PC?

1. Yes, anti-virus disabled and indeed removed from the PC.
2. Yes, have tried the USB method at least 20 times.
3. Yes, the bootloader changes from Serial to USB. It then goes to the progress indicator screen and hangs on 0%. The progress indicator on the RUU on PC also stays at 0% and eventually times out. I've gone through the Recovery routine at least 20 times, with no luck.
When I try to run SSPL-Manual-TouchHD.exe it says "not a valid Win32 application".

I'm a bit perplexed by this.
You have obviously successfully flashed Duttys V3.9 so drivers are fine, you know how to use USPL, both flashing methods (SD card and usb/pc), disabled anti-virus, phone in bootloader.
Have you tried to reflash 1.56 rom or possibly performing a hard reset before trying to use USPL or HSPL. I doubt this would make a difference though.
Have you tried cRaCKwHoRe's USPL GUI v 2.5 Application?
You don't get any code errors?? I'm struggling to find a solution here.

Yes, this is most vexing. I've flashed innumerable times before and never had an issue. I suspect the SPL is fine, but somehow the actual WM ROM image is corrupted. Will now try to load Std 1.56 ROM image again...

Success! The 3rd attempt at reflashing stock 1.56 ROM worked. I don't know why the system bombed out before. Perhaps one of those inexplicable brain farts..
Anyway, all seems to be fine now. Fallen Spartan, you have my endless gratitude for at least responding. Let me know if you need accommodation at next year's FIFA World Cup in South Africa (though I'm a rugby fan).

Success! The 3rd attempt at reflashing stock 1.56 ROM worked. I don't know why the system bombed out before. Perhaps one of those inexplicable brain farts..

Im still stuck. When i installed HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex my screen changed colors but would go back to normal when i would turn the screen off and back on so i didnt see it as a problem. I installed the EnergyROM BLACKSTONE 20090608 Standard an tried to go back stock using RUU_BlackStone_HTC_WWE_1.14.405.0_Radio_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship but it gets to 1% then says this update utility cannot be used for you PDA phone. Please check your update utlity.
Then the phone boots up and at the black smart mobility screen in the bottom corner it says
R 1.09.25.14
G 52.49A.25.26U
D 1.14. 21010
the phone boots up with the funny colors again and goes to align screen but it keeps staying there even after i align it.
The bootloader screen says
BLAC100 32M
SPL-1.54.0000
MicroP-BlackStone (LED) v6
USB
Am i tryin to install the wrong stock ROM. I purchased the HD from phonesource-usa if that helps also

Adamsville: perhaps you're stuck in bootloader mode because the WM ROM image flashed on your system has become corrupted or disabled, ie the only thing the system can boot into is the bootloader.
Try flashing a new compatible WM ROM image and see if that works.

a hardreset followed by a 1.54 base rom will solve all ur probs.
or lower spl to 1.14 cos ur stock rom is a 1.14 base as suggested by th name..

I think I messed up my HD
everything is green and blue it wont let me do anything i tried to flash i got now spl 1.14 from olinex but i can´t do nothing now it just freezes
can i still fix it or is it broken please help me

What ROM did you try to flash ?

i had 1.54.00 then i installed HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip and after that just gut this green screen and it wont do nothing anymore

can somebody help me I just wanna know how i set back to standard rom or what you call it

the same thing happened to me i think. my hd kept freezing and all colours were blue and green. i installed hspl 1.56.oilnex from a differant location (not from rapidshare or xda-developers) and it all sorted out and i had energy rom hell of a rom

o. and by the way. when i put on the new hspl i booted the phone it its boot loader and then connected the usb.
this is done by holding the vol dwn button whilst phone is turned off and then also holding power button

The "negative colors" you are seeing are because you are installing 1.56 based roms on a 1.14 SPL. They are incompatible. You need to update your base SPL to 1.54 before flashing these new 1.56 based roms. This is why your original rom works when you flash it over your 1.14 SPL. You can follow my guide to do this.

dude.. either upgrade to a 1.56+ rom or downgrade spl to 1.14
thtll work fine for u..

i had it accidentally already downgraded to 1.14 thats where i got the green and frozed up phone. i tried to upgrade now it wont do nothing every single time i turn on the phone it goes to boot mode and tries to install and just stays still by loading

Has this been resolved? Or do you still require help?

Ok, from the start
You had SPL 1.54.0000 and then you flashed HSPL 1.56
Was this flash successful? i.e. check your SPL in bootloader. Does it say SPL 1.56.OliNex?

I had spl 1.54 did what crackawhore said to first update the phone with this "HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip ". After that I got a green screen and It keeps freezing did a couple hard resets. Then somebody told me to do a rom update from the SD. Went in the bootloader he startet and stayed still by "Loading" and since that everytime i turn on the phone. Tt just starts from there bootloader screen und tries to load but does nothing happens

Ok, I'm a little confused you said you had 1.14, and then said you had 1.54
What does your SPL say right now?
Green problem is usually caused by using wrong HSPL on wrong rom, i.e. HSPL 1.56 is to be used with 1.56+ based roms and HSPL 1.14 is to be used with pre 1.56 based roms

i think i had 1.54 the newest rom what htc had on there site and then tried to put on Blackstone_156
right now there isnt a rom on it it just stopped by loading i tried to put back on the standard spl wait let me go see real quick

ok, so you had SPL 1.54.0000 on device and then tried to put on HSPL 1.56, correct? Was this successful? What does your SPL say now in bootloader?

it said 1.14 what i dont get because i installed HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip
this is the way I went checked my spl it was 1.54 downloaded HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip installed it and checked to see what spl i had ,had 1.14

i am trying to upgrade my spl version to 1.56 to be able to use the 1.5x roms
currently my device is a mess :
radio : 1.10.25.25
rom : 1.56.47.601
SPL : 1.14 stock
i cant flash from active sync because that causes wm 6.5 to crash
when i boot on spl, then launch hspl1.56, the transfer stays stuck at 0% then HSPLwrapper goes to recovery mode.
I have tried on several PCs
I have seen a post about an HTC diamond stuck on 0% that said i had to use the developer version of HSPL, but i m not sure what i downloaded, and it was for the diamond so i didnt go ahead.
Someone please help me get the device functionnal again X'( ?

Enter bootloader.
run uspl 2.5 on pc
wait for the fone to reboot to the bootloader.
it'll show 1.xx.uspl
now run the hspl olinex wrapper.
its getting stuck because it cannot pass the security check..
