Hi guys,
I have a Touch Diamond on T-Mobile (renamed MDA Compact VI in the UK) for some reason the icon which illustrates a new voicemail in the top menu bar.
Even why I listen to the voicemail & delete it, the 'new voicemail' icon persists.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?
Thanks in advance
Use this tool:
http://www.silentservices.de/HushSMS.html
You can send yourself a SMS which resets the indicator.
tried the hustSMS app but I still have no joy
The voicemail icon still displays for some unknown reason, does anyone know of registry hacks that will reset the voicemail?
Have you flashed the phone lately? I recently flashed mine with a different rom when it started doing that... Reflashed it again and it's all good now
What have you done with Hush-SMS?
Send MWI, Voice, Deactivate
send to your own number?

The phone was recently repaired by T-Mobile so I assume the have upgraded the ROM as it mentioned 'software upgrade' on the receipt and it wasn't the O/S as I am still running WM 6.1

Great News!
Great news!
Have been waiting for this release for donkey years!
This is good news. Can the client work on networks other than that of O2? Can you put a link to download it here? I have a qtek 2020i and would like to use the program if I can.
Thanks,
Gilbert

Should be able too. Havent tried on XDAIIi though, maybe later tonite. My previous experience with XDAII Blackberry was possible using Singtel (Singapore) mobile network. The only sticky thing was that the O2 Official ROM for BB must be used. Otherwise, even installing the BB client on other ROM version of XDAIIi or QTEK 2020i is of no use.

DON'T UPGRADE THE RADIO IF YOU WANT TO USE BLACKBERRY!
RIM check the ROM version and RADIO version before they allow you to connect to the relay. If it's not an approved mix, your device IMEI will be BARRED from the relay.
If you don't need BB.... NO WORRIES!
D/loading now
If you don't need Blackberry, then you probably don't need this upgrade! ??
Anyone know/see any other changes?
Not check what else is new to busy playing with Blackberry, its working great!
Really happy to see that Calendar works properly with the BES
8)
Just need contacts & tasks now...
Hi Guys
Have not installed it yet on my xda IIs, but planning too. Can anyone say if the BB Client supports seeing "delivered" and "read" a la the RIM pager devices?
Many Thanks!

Working very well on my XDAIIi using the new released ROM. Sending and receiving emails and calendar syncing from my corporate email exchange.
Thumbs up!
Hi Cychiam
That sounds good. I am particulary interested in the 'delivered' and 'read' functionality.
When you send an e-mail to someone, does this client show you when it has been delivered to the recepients device? Likewise, when the recepient has read the message, does this client send you a message or indicate that your message has been opened and read by the recipient?
Many Thanks
Chris

Not quite sure what you really mean. When an email is successfully delivered/sent out, that mail be will moved to SENT folder. That's how I know it got sent out.
As for message opened and read by recipient, I don't think the Blackberry client on XDAIIs/XDAIIi now support it.
Hi Cychiam
By 'delivered' I mean that you know that the message you sent has successfully reached the intended recipient. For example, sometimes you may send an e-mail to someone but have the address wrong. It will still show up in your sent folder, but may not get delivered. MS Outlook will typically send you any error message back if it did not reach the recipeint. Wondering if this client has similar functionality..?
Regards
chris
I want to Cancel
Ok, Now we have blackberry Connect on the XDAIIi I now want Blackberry Enabled on my Sim and being told I can't on my Personal Account. ANy one know a way round this else I will just find a way to cancel it.
IS it me?
Is it me or have they removed teh detials on how to setup Internet Mail with Blackberry from teh software download pages? And HCnged teh info to INdicate teh Enterprise Server only?
Seems they have scaled down.
Can it run on the O2 XDA II?
Hi!
Ayone tested on O2 XDA II with WM2003se?
Thanks
Howdy yall,
I've created 2 executable ROM upgraders for Cingular 8125 users.
The first is a RUU package that will restore an 8125 to it's 100% stock shipping state.
This file is on the ftp at:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wizard/Roms/Cingular/Cingular_RUU_1.8.11.1.WWE.ship.exe
The second file is a customized version of the latest Qtek AKU2 ROM. It requires that your device be CID unlocked to install. It includes the Qtek OS, Radio, IPL, and SPL ROM parts untouched. The extended ROM has been customized as follows:
-all Cingular customization cabs included EXCEPT "Singed_gprsstall_1228.sa.cab" which breaks wifi.
-cab created by ammar to allow enabling wireless Today screen item.
-SPCS cab to allow install of unsigned cabs
-PPCContactsMgr cab created by ammar to allow for selecting/deleting multiple contacts
-P_removeBTicon cab to remove the battery indicator in the tray
-P_DisconnectButton3s cab to allow for gprs disconnect when holding end key 3 seconds
SPLASH screen display order is set to Cingular, Cingular, Windows Mobile (same as stock)
I left the "Get Express mail" and Goodlink stuff despite wanting to blow it away.. =)
This file is on the ftp at:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wizard/Roms/Cingular/Cingular_RUU_WIZARD_217_AKU2_WWE.exe
Hopefully this is useful to Cingular folks who want to either go back to stock easily or go to the latest AKU2 ROM while maintaining Cingular customizations.
I take no responsibility for what happens to your device or the price of tea in China if you decide to use these RUU upgraders. I have swapped between the two versions several times today without problem.
your gonna make a lot of people happy with this easy process.
does this turn everything back to OEM spec ? including IPL etc ?

It does indeed. The IPL/SPL is returned to 1.08. I know there's probably a lot of folks who didn't want to try the new AKU ROM for fear of not being able to return to a 100% stock version....you can now do that easily.
Dude your awesome! I always put the newest rom on my device anyway, but its nice to know (in case device breaks) I can bring it back with no worries.
Absolutely awesome summiter! Just like the wayback machine that Mr. Peabody and Sherman would use in the old cartoon! Worked like a charm. (Forgot how slow that original ROM is...) Looking forward to installing your Cingular 2.17.
Thanks again dude, you're definitely gonna make a lot of people happy.

This is even better than what I was looking for originally. I wanted everything to be exactly like the 8125 on my Qtek 9100 because I'm on Cingular (I just like how the 9100 looks compared to the 8125). Now this came along as something even better - the newest Qtek 9100 ROM with the best combination of Cingular settings! I can't thank you enough!
EDIT: Hmm, everything works beautifully except one main thing: when I tried adding my GMail account to Outlook, I got to the point where it asks if it's a POP3 or IMAP4 account. I select POP3 and name it GMail, but when I click Next at the bottom, nothing happens. It's as if the button does absolutely nothing. Because of this, I can't add my email account because I can't proceed to the final step. Is anybody else having this problem?
I found it on Hofo posted by JediCorrado.
yanathin try this and let us know if it works.
Incoming Mail: pop.gmail.com:995
Outgoing Mail: smtp.gmail.com:465
under Options check "Require SSL Connection" "Outgoing mail requires authentication" "Use separate settings"
Click Outgoing Settings
Enter your username, password, check "Require SSL for outgoing mail"
The problem is that I can't even GET to the point where I enter my incoming/outgoing server... The "Next" button leading to that screen won't do anything. I had GMail working before the new ROM update just fine. (sorry for the slightly off-topic posts)
Sorry yanathin, was just trying to help.
I keep looking and post if I find anything.
biggie ups to you, summiter
so i'm a pansy, and i dinna have the brass ones required to futz with my stock cingular 8125... until this came along. just finished popping on the official qtek rom, and things appear to be running swimmingly. will mess around more later because i want a2dp so i can stop carrying my logitech dongle around, but thas neither here nor there.
excellent, EXCELLENT post. thanks much, chief.
EDIT: i got mine all set up, and i have to reflash, but i don't even care, because you're awesome in the first place for getting this up, and awesome again for fixing it on-the-spot-like. biggie ups again. downloading again now =)
awesome, im gonna give this a shot soon

I think I know what the problem is - gimme a few minutes to check things out and I'll upload a fixed installer.
Thanks soo much for the new rom package
I just finished loading my apps back on the cingular 8125, and it all works great, and much faster than the stock cingular rom. Exellent Work!

That would be wonderful if you could fix it... Aside from the ugly pasted Cingular logo on the Phone screen and Incoming Call pop-up box (I love it when Cingular just "pastes" their logo on things, no matter how it looks :x), this ROM is darn near perfect!

Is this a definate confirmed bug with the current installer? If it is I figure I should wait because I use my mail on the road everyday. If anyone has more info - please let us know. Thanks for creating this ROM and for looking at it again---as someone who has been afraid of updating but really anxious, this is really exciting.

It was one of the Cingular cab files. Apparently there was some issue with MMS and Cingular had a cab file that applied some sort of hotfix. Well this hotfix isn't needed with the AKU2 ROM and all it did was break mail. I've removed that portion of the offending cab file, repacked, and I'll upload the fixed installer afer I finish one more round of double checking. I've deleted the old one off the ftp, so when you see the 2.17 installer back up it will be the fixed version.

My appologies to those folks who got their devices all set up and have to reflash.. :?
that worked out great! my 8125 was acting all retarded and not picking up any signal at all for about 8 hours and after i installed the upgrade package, it worked like a charm. anybody else have any problems with the 8125 dropping connectivity completely?

Were you using the original stock ROM when you had these issues?
I have 4 Wizards, and 3 of them had problems locking up and losing signal with the original Cingular ROM. Cingular blames the problem on bad SIMs. After flashing to AKU 2 I've had no problems with any of the devices, so the update is either handling flaky SIMs better or Cingular was taking the easy way out of the problem. haha
cant view call history? do you guys have any idea why? i have them listed as 4 missed then when i try opening nothing happenes. thanks for any help.
custom os? did you install any programs recently?
got it fixed thanks anyways. i installed vista dialer and that took care of it. thanks again

Get a good tool (m(mmaid or sktools) and clean the notifications queue. Problems like this exist since WinMo 6.

update your rom to EnergyROM Warhawk
No...
text messaging and voicemail notification both use the same "thing" from AT&T...
You need to call AT&T and have them reset your message waiting indicator...
I have a friend with the Black Jack 2 with the same problem... is it AT&T or WinMo?

Haha, I've had the same phone before my fuze..lol
but to answer other questions, it's not the at&t indicator.
I've already spoke with them, they cant control the text messages, only the voicemails.
I think it has to do something with the phone, more windows.

its one of the .htm file that is causing that. I forgot exactly but there's a fix floating around. thats what I did with the 6.1 Bloat Free Offiicial Fuze ROM I made. I extracted that .htm file from the Fuze leak ROM and integrated it to my Bloat Free Offiicial Fuze ROM.
Same problem
I have had this problem since updating my ROM. I'm running att's rom but don't use Touch Flo. I have gotten this message even after I delete all text's. What I have to do is launch TF and there it is, supposedly a new message. I delete it then shut off TF. Will prob change my ROM soon though, hate bloatware.

Try my ROM you might like it.
I had this problem once on my Tilt. Turns out there was a registry corruption with an unread MMS. I believe it may be the same situation. I'd recommend looking around the Tilt forums (Kaiser) for the issue.
Hi
I have quite a weird problem with my Tytn II.
On the touchflo home screen it shows I have a new sms, indicated by a "1" by the sms tab, but I can't find the new sms anywhere! I've tried a soft reset but it didn't work...
Any ideas?
I had the exact same problem...
It was a custom ROM I installed, only way I got it sourted was by installing another one... Was a TPC Elite Win 6.5 ROM upgraded to a later version and havent had the problem since...
