Align screen - PDA2, XDA IIi, 2020i General

ok i'm stuck on the Align screen after the hard reset of my Qtek 2020i and i searched all the forum thoroughly all i found is the way by using Remote alignment tool, but the problem is i dont have cradle for the phone, and its kinda not availaible in my country and i'm use bluetooth to activesync my device but now as i'm stuck in the align screen i cant activate or deactivate my device bluetooth, and now i'm in a big trouble n i dont wanna lose my device so help me out guys.

ok after many taps i succesfully start the phone but its not aligned properly, i just need a calibration data for Qtek 2020i plz help

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=290272
should i used this calibration data?
at least tell me is this gonna work with my screen or not?

looks like this should work, qtek 2020i is the same device, just a different name, I can't say for certain if this will work, since it may be a problem with the screen itself, but it's worth a try.

Hey guys do something, where are the experts ??? I am sure its just software problem, I installed some software and next morning touchscreen was not working. I didnt dropt the pda.
Qbukhari.
Just a thought, try putting the device into bootloader mode then hard resetting the device.
Also try putting it into bootloader mode, updating the complete ORIGINAL rom and hard reset to complete the install.
Bootloader mode = power button + reset button + action button right ???
I have done so, problem still there
I have replaced the ROM downloaded from clubimate ----- problem still there
I have also tried to replace the XDAII rom ------ problem still there
now tell me where to get the ORIGINAL ROM ??? I am sure if the original rom is inserted it will be working again. btw pug can we talk online ? I am online now

hey all, I finally solve this problem, in the hard reset screen, there is menu for me to choose what to do in during the hard reset, like clear storage, registry... and i choose to clear all, then my XDA II is now work fine. (in the hardreset menu the backlight will not on, so it is not visible to find out the menu, also to change the setting use the botton of record, camera & volume button to control the menu.) good luck everyone!!
Thats a relief
Hi kindly tell me how to find that menu ?? I am sure I didnt damage my Alpine its just software problem let me fix it too.
Tell me how to find that menu during a hard reset plsssssssss
qbukhari.
WHERE IS THAT MENU??????????????

Still waiting for a reply, kindly tell me how to access "Clear Storage" function during the Hard Reset
qbukhari.
probably fake trying to make impression :?:
Too Sad
Dear Kabintos,
When you go in the setting/memory it is displayed total 122mb main memory in my PDA2 is this the same situation with you too ?
qbukharil.
The bootloader menu is not, as far as I'm aware, on the Alpine as it automatically detects network frequencies etc. Henrypak mentions XDA II not XDA IIi.
The program memory and so on in the Memory tab is only 122.04MB. Memory is quoted different to how most people think. 128000000 / 1024 / 1024 = 122.0703
The .03MB is taken up with partitioning of the memory to allow for storage etc.
Have a look at the hard drives on your computer for example, a 30GB hard drive is only 27.9GB. It's just how the manufacturers quote storage space, in thousands of bytes. Computers work them out in thousand and twenty fours of bytes.
To be honest Qamar, the more I think about your problem, the more I think it is a hardware issue, not software. If you've recently purchased the Alpine, it will still be under warranty and you should be able to take it back for an exchange. If not try opening it up and removing and reconnecting the ribbon cable for the screen from the mother board.
Obviously you've tried flashing it again, if the touchpad isn't working then you can't get past the screen alignment at the beginning of the ROM installation after a hard reset.
Out of curiosity, if the touch screen isn't working, how did you get to see the Memory status on your Alpine? None of the buttons are defaulted to settings or the start menu.
PDA2 live again
Hi All,
Well well well, here I am back in the game again. It was at the last moments when I was almost ready to send my Alpine for repairs when I got tip from a friend from uk. He sent me a tool to format storage completely.
After reseting the Alpine with reformatted storage the touch screen was back a bit misaligned though, after aligning it once its 100% fit now. How can I thank you my friend ???
Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers !!!!!!!!!!
qbukhari.
gbukhari pls send it to me m8 pls pls and ill thank you as you were thanking your firend that send it that to you  also i wanted to ask you if you test really hard your machine after that in case it would do the same thing again
my email [email protected]
Can someone post a 100% tried and tested solution to the tapping problem?
TIA
Yeah...!
Can someone please post some instruction on sortingthis issuse out....
Lossing sleep over the thought of having to replace my screen.....
Cheers,

Hi everyone,
I had exactly the same issue with my XDA2i about a week after I purchased it (around 3 months ago). I was happily browsing the web over wifi around a friends house when the screen locked. I had to hard-reset to get it up again but it got stuck in a loop whilst aligning the screen, it wouldn't go past this stage at all.
I phoned the online shop I bought the device from and they told me they had had lots of people reporting the same symptoms and that they had identified a faulty batch. I was sent a replacement from a new batch about 4 days thereafter. The new one has worked fine ever since.
If it is a software issue that's fixable, great, go for it. But if your device is still under warrenty I'd suggest getting a replacement - worked for me!
Sorry I can't be a bit more posistive but thought I'd let u all know.

microp error
This occurs when while boot diamond fails to find the correct hardware radio, wifi and Bluetooth
Well the small cable was not attached properly so i opened and attached it. Hell of a job, HTC are very compact.
And WIFI bluetoth back on.
Warn you this cable is very delicate and HTC's original manual says to replace this cable once you open your device. But where will you find a cable?!?!
And I have got the screen from ebay U.S.
Now while replacing the screen the tech guy stupid NooB forgot to take off the last fblack colored film of the display and reattached the new one over it, so now the digitizer isnt wrking properly and the new screen appears very dark.
I have to do it my self. I dont know if i will ever have my diamond back again
For display and lower keyboard panel(having buttons and breath)
You have to attach two small connectors. They are very hard to install and yes it would be better you get it done from some place.

Problem ,, When I turn on my Diamond it gives me a black screen and cant do anything?

Hi Msa!
Going back to your question...have you already tried a soft reset? Have you maybe installed any apps recently? you might want to uninstall those apps which could cause the fault....maybe you upgraded your ROM/Radio recently?? Try a fresh install if your problem persists..
Please tell us a little bit more....be more specific.....
Good luck mate
Kind regards
Jeroen
If none of that works (soft reset etc) you might have to do a hard reset and lose everything.
What have you done on it recently?
At what point does the black screen come on? Do you get rom info etc at the beginning?
I had the same problem
I had the same problem, I sent my phone to htc they replaced my mother board and sub board.
I think It's a well known problem and htc knows but will not recall.
Tal
if ur gonna send it back, make sure u have restored the original ROM and SPL.
Thanks Guyzs,,

I had same problem a few times, what you have to do is take the battery out of the phone for a few seconds, and then replace it.You should be able to switch it on and it should reboot up,at least mine does.Im thinking about having it replaced, because it has goes dead with a black screen a few times and nothing works till i do the above action

Is your battery fully charged..?
I encountered this once and after leaving the phone on charge for say 30 minutes, everything was back to normal. Sice you say you have upgraded ROM and all, maybe your battery is completely drained.
Hope it helps.
hey,
yea it could be from the battery

xda 2s to wm6 help

hi there i have just put wm6 to my xda 2s it loaded fine but i cant use it propaly when i click on start it does not bring anythink up also the youchscreen is in diffrent place for things any idea what ive done wrong
ok, if i get you right, your screen is mis-aligned, that means that where you click is not, what windows thinks you clicked.
1. make sure, this is not a temporary hardware issue, try and clean the screen as good as you can, especially look for dust around the borders and remove it.
2. try "MyMobiler" it is a freeware remote software, with which you can control your device with your pc's mouse and keyboard, if that works properly and still the stylus does not work...
3. use the mouse to navigate to start -> settings -> system -> screen and click "align screen" and re-align it using the stylus and if that doesn't work...
4. go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355010
and try to align you screen remotely
if all that didn't work
5. hard reset your device or flash another/the shipped rom
and if still nothing helped, you gotta change the digitizer of your screen, but i don't think so, because an upgrade doesn't distroy hardware, but it could accidently have happened at the same time
Wm6 radio problems
hi there managed to get my wm6 working on the xda 2s but the radio rom does not work if i do a soft reset it works but if the battery comes out it does not work also my wifi wont connect to a wifi network just keeps saying available

touch screen does not work at all

Hello. Yesterday morning when i woke up suddenly my touch screen did not respond any more. I try reinstalling windows or hard reset but now i can not even get over tap the screen. Please help me. You already helped me once when i was going to throw it away because i thought it's a hardware problem and it was a software one.
What you need to do is fully charge the phone, run a backup usin PPM or sprite then do a soft reset and leave it for a day, if that doesnt workt hen run a hard reset and it will fix it, been through that problem too a couple times and it ends up workin fine
Thank you
Thanks a lot. but please tell me when you say to leave it for a day i should leave it with baterry in or out. Or do you mean to do the soft reset and leave it for a day to the screen where it sais to tap the screen. And by a day you mean 24h?Thanks again anyway
Ok.But where can i find a new lcd? And how much is it one?
I did the soft reset and leave it for a day then it worked but when i wanted to charge, it happened again and i have the same problem now.Any way a thing it's certain it is a software problem. If you have other advice please help.

i have the same problem
i think its a hard problem i try everything but nothing
Hello I had the same problem.
I installed several versions of Android and nbh files.
The problem occurred with versions nbh for Froy version of Android.
As I had saved the versions that were tested. I tried to install previous versions where I knew the touchscreen worked correctly. In my tests with this file to the touch screen work again: kaisimg-panel2-320-24-05-10.nbh
I hope that helped
I had prob woth touch screen and non functional front camera. Restored function by replacing flex cable. This flex cable has the buttons for the keypad as well as supporting the front camera. When I examined the flex cable, the portion that moves in and out when sliding the keyboard appears to be slightly damaged on right and left sides. The damaged portion does contain very thin circuits.
Not sure why this was posted in Accessories but I'll move it to General for you.
