Anyone can help? Virtual Navigation Key... - Touch Diamond2, Pure Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As TD_2 lovers knew, there is no navigation key on TD_2 as Diamond do, it is really troublesome for those game players and ex-Diamond users.
I found a virtual navigation key on new model mobile phone of Toshiba T-01A, it is running on WM6.1. It will work on TD_2 also, I think.
Can somebody develop similar soft?

So?
It can't be digested?

I think he means that these navigation keys are ALREADY there in the HTC SIP. You should be able to use them right away.

Thanks for your post.
But I can't find navigation keys in my D2 with HTC SIP yet. (HTC Traditional Key Board for pocket PC Ver. 1.5 (Build 33286). )
Moreover, even if I can find the right version HTC SIP, but I think it works only in some specific screens, such as SMS writting. It will not work in "TODAY" screen, or game play screen.
So, can you send me a CAB file of HTC SIP which can work in all screen.

Automatically launch "new SMS" when I slide up the keyboard

Do you know if there is a tweak to automatically launch a program (new SMS for instance) when i open the keyboard of the Kaiser ?
I'll be very happy to save time with this tweak...
up someone ?
Dont think so, a few days ago I made a post asking what is the quickest way to start an SMS and that was never mentioned, so I dont think it exist, it would be a great app it it did.
Good idea.
HTC has the HTC Action screen, which does the same thing when you slide open the HTC Touch Dual.

Making this work with the sliding keyboard on the Kaiser would be nice.

Agree this would be a nice tweak. Anyway to autorun any prog when the keyboard is opened...
This is exactly what i thought... Unfortuneltly i don't have the knowledge to create this tweak... I'm happy to see i'm not the only one interested...
Umm that would be a HUGE burden when you open to keyboard to input a web address on pocketie or any other browser wouldnt it....

Indeed. If this theoretical app existed, it should check if the Today screen is active before taking action.

AFAIK the HTC Action app opens up briefly when they keyboard comes up, and then disappears, so it should not interfere too much.

You should be able to do this with MortScript.

What contact managing program do you use?

Hi, I love the diamond, but its kind of a fuss with the contacts. You have to add them one by one to your favourites, if you want to see them in Touch flo. Im too lazy to do that, so Im looking for a good contact managing program. I tried icontact, but its only for qvga. I would like to have that "iphone" like feeling in it. Tried some, but didnt find the right one - so looking for any tips.
Also, is there an option to change the "phone" application? Its slow, and I dont like it.
Thanks a lot! Its a great community!
Icontact supports VGA, I'm using it, and right now I'm creating a Diamond VGA skin right now.
I disabled contacts page on manila, and assigned left softkey on clock page to contacts.

Are you serious? maybe you think windows nobile looks great...
Anything new on the Diamond skin for iContact? Sounds like the perfect solution!
There is a iContacts port for VGA.
And it looks amazing plus assigning it to a soft key is even coooler.
Luck fellasss.

Bluetooth quick switch

Does anyone know of an iphone-like software for WM6 that offers a bluetooth headset/internal speaker switch button for the dialer or any way to accomplish this? I'm just trying to quickly switch between my bluetooth headset and the internal speaker. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks again.
-Sharpie
Bump, ttt please.
I use phonealarm it gives me a button on the today screen tht lets me turn bluetooth on and off with one click. Hope that helps.
-McMex
Kind of.
I'm really looking for something like this...

Okay, what about modifying a dialer skin and coding something to fit. Anyone have any expertise on what it would take to accomplish this? I don't have any coding experience but I could design the skin to fit what I need it to look like. Do we have any freelance coders that do pro bono work?
If you're in the Ohio/Georgia areas I'll buy you lunch.
Thanks again guys.

I use this.... an old program from my xda2 days.
It's a small 6KB exe file. No need to install. Just run it. If you use traylauncher, it sits there at the bottom and all you have to is just tap on it to change the sound to your bluetooth headset, tap it again to change it back to the device speaker. Or else, you can just assign it a short-cut anywhere you want.
Hope it helps...

Has anyone found one? Could be nice to keyboad to match with everything else
Just a side note: Shape Writer is also available for WinMo and is incorporated in every app, rather than just one (as in the iPhone). Just go on Shape Writer's website.

i use Shape Writer for everything, its brilliant. Have a look in the Themes and Applications section, there is a thread called "SWYPE!!!" which discusses it on page 6, and has a download link.
I always use the standard WinMo keyboard. I check the big buttons options with the use of gestures in the settings , which make your buttons smaller again but you get an extra row of numbers on your keyboard. I often use these gestures and it's really handy.
I wish there was a way to make the buttons a bit bigger again so i could use my fingers to type, I wouldn't mind reserving half the screen for a good keyboard.
So is there a keyboard out there with the use of gestures but without for instance the enter/backspace/shift buttons and without the spacebar
But a del button would be nice though, theres no gesture for that...
Actually forget the keyboard, is there a way to add more gestures in the WinMo keyboard??? That would be awsome!
hey I was thinking about the same exact thing. There are a lot of keyboards out there but i dont think much people realise how "potentially" awesome the Winmo Keyboard actualy is. If only the keys can be enlarged a little bit. or if a pop up ability could be added this should make one of the best keyboards out there am sure.

Swype for Vogue

So I tried to use a 320x480 version of swype on my vogue and it registers the taping of keys, but not the swipes. I'm assuming it's part of the double touch/ ****ty screen on the vogue, but does anyone have a working version? I've heard and seen that it's the new way to text... so yeah any ideas or help would be great
Was working great for me, check the nexus one themes and apps thread for the themed swipe versions. They install and swype just fine.

I was using a different one posted by jamezelle, but I uninstalled that and used the one scotter posted and that one shows up in the settings, but does not display the keyboard when I go to text... The other one did show up, it just didn't register my swipes:/ I'm using Myns Warm Donut... if that means anything...

Do a hold tap on the text input field, select input method, and choose swype.
Make sure its enabled in your settings.
Those are the steps I took and it worked fine for me.
Yup I just had to hold and change the input. Works great! Thanks.
