HTC Touch Pro 2 - XPERIA X1 ROM Development

Hi All
My girlfriend just got one and I love it. Is there anything close to this on custom ROM or is it not possible to get this in full on the X1?

if think Touch X is the closest one to that...but i think that still isn't the same. It iis the most stable ROM in my opinion.

if you ask if you can get touchflow on x1 then yes you can get it as a panel
well it replace the normal wm panel
run pretty poorly imho
and when ever you turn off your device
while in another panel it start up
in touch flow

Wing and HTC Touch Flo

Has anyone successfully run HTC Touch Flo on the Herald or Tmobile Wing? I heard report that other devices can run it and others cant...
I tried the alpha .cab they had before but it never worked
Just black screen
damn it, i thought the herald and the touch are pretty much the same. Grrrh I really want that to work
I've tried the touchflo.cab from two different places on my Wing. The one I found on this forum gave me the black screen problem, and the other made it so the touch screen wouldn't work at all, but when I pressed the left soft key it brought up one side of the cube, but touch screen was still disabled.
I've actually had success
I had success following one of the topics under the Wizard section and actually got it to work, however, it was not really worth the time nor the effort. When it did work it worked intermittently and ran dog-slow - zapping more than it's fair share of resources. At the end of the day when all is said and done - I hard-reset my device back to plain vanilla style and tweaked back to my normal config.
Do you remember what you did to make it work? I'd love to try it out.
that is such a shame
if anyone gets it to work without draining all program memory out of the wing please let us know
Just search Wizard forums for Touch Cube - I was following the ' HTC Touch - New Files For Our Wizards' thread but I know I jumped to other threads referenced from there to figure out how to make it work. Like I said it was time consuming and totally not worth the effort IMO - but good luck with that . . . .
Yeah I tried a couple methods but none worked for me. Hopefully a Cooked Rom comes out with it implemented in it.
I am trying to implement the TouchFLo into a cooked rom but turns out it is harder than I thought. I am going to try and get some help from the Hermes members. Word is someone got it working on a trinity, so herald shouldnt be too far off.
Also just thought you should now the herald would need a new .dll file before the touchflo is able to work. I found one in Hermes threads, will try to implement into the rom and see I have more sucess than they do.
cheers
As Any Progress Been Made

can i update to the wing rom

can i some how get the wing rom on my wizard???
i had a wing once before and loved it and i have been trying to figure out if i can get its software on my wizard...
can anyone give me a hand
Thnaks
In short: no.
In long: while the Wing and the Wizard have the same specs, they are different hardware, so the ROMs are not compatible.
that really really blows because i really liked the wings apps that it came with out of the box like its today screen task manager and then there is always the fun blue ball glitch

O2 XDA Ignito

Have had this phone a day now (Touch Diamond with O2 front-end) and I have to say I'm not impressed. It requires the stylus for most operations and the Touch Flo seems hit and miss most of the time. I have 14 days to send it back if I want. A few other niggles like the fact it has locked up 3 times in 24 hours and that the screen goes blank are pushing me towards a return. I chose this over the Samsung Pixxon which was a bit cheaper.
I'm interested to know if you guys think it's worth dumping a new ROM on it and persevering. I heard good things about the HTC Diamond so I'd be happy to keep it if I can use it without the stylus for phone calls and have a nice responsive menu system.
Any idea if I can save the O2 firmware for dropping back on the phone if it is unsuccessful or do I need to commit to the ROM change?
O2 xda ignito
Hi, got my Ignito in December and had similar doubts to yourself. From the searches I've done no-one has posted an O2 ROM so if you flash a new one there is probably no going back (and I imagine a void warranty!)
However, if you search for available tweaks and fixes I've found the O2 ROM to be OK. TouchFlo responds adequately but not blazing fast, it has only locked half a dozen times or so, and if you change the icon/menu/border sizes you can do without the stylus for most things.
Suggested Tweaks
- Advanced Config
- Diamond TF3D Config
- G- Light
- GSen (only works intermittently)
- Second Today
- Total Commander
Dutty's ROMs FTW!
Go for a cooked ROM, and splat an official ROM back on if you need to return it. Stock ROMs are slow and way too buggy.

Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on..
@iain2510: Cheers. I'd like to go all the way with a cooked rom first if poss, but will bear your suggestions in mind if not.
@ruffage (or anyone):
"...splat an official ROM back on if you need to return it"
Where can I get this from or can I back it up myself first? If so how?
check my thread out
use the back up at your own risk tho!

use the search function!
i would like to add if you have just bought the ignito then i would wait for the touch HD to come out on O2!
i am happy with my ignito now but looking forward to getting a HD for bettery battery life and improved signal quality (hopefully)
I have the O2, in fact we bought two for the office. I kept mine as I dont like the iphone, and one was sent back due to battery life and the general slow feel of the phone.
I kept mine and have been flashing duttys roms for a while, now on 3.6b and it amazing....I love the phone.
Stick with it!

Been away for a while...whats the latest and greatest?

So, I upgraded to a droid when it was released, but I recently repaired the screen on my Tilt and am going to be giving it to my sister.
I just wanted to see what the latest and greatest tweaks for the tilt are?! I wiped it when I first replaced the screen anticipating selling it.
SO...i'd rather NOT flash a new rom or do anything crazy.
I WOULD like a new dialer, youtube and facebook apps, and any other "basic" thing that makes it easier to use with the touch screen. I cant remember everything I had done to it, so its hard for me to track down all the things I had.
(side note: im tech-savvy but my sis isnt. so nothing that might jack it up in the future either...)
THANKS!!
You have the forums ready so you can go, read and find the latest - greatest for yourself
The latest and greatest is WM 6.5, most already have youtube , facebook apps cooked in for optimal performance. Just read through rom development for a 6.5 that has everything you want. For the best and most stable 6.1 rom with great apps, check my/people's signitures ( hint ; hint )
If in fact you do not want to flash your phone.....well then, nothing's new.
I think he ment the iphone 4?
I've had a Tytn2 for many years now except it is having a few issues. Last night I picked up a brand new Tytn2 that has NEVER BEEN USED for calls and only switched on twice! Immaculate condition but ROM date of 2007 ISTR.
So I'll be looking for a decent WM 6.5 ROM that isn't too agressive for me.... So, yeah, WB to you too

just got my x1 - advice

just got my x1
i got it because i spilled powerade on my nokia
so i had to go out and get another phone
so far i've flashed about 15 different roms
i love the on screen keyboard with swype and the htc sense
i used the energy cookie reference glass dinik i think and it was perfect
now i'm using something almost the same but its a little bit more customizable
which i like but if i don't touch my phone it freezes and i had to remove the battery and turn it back on.
should i switch to another rom or stay with the cookie reference?
your phone, your usage behavior, your preferences, your decision
