Hi. I upgraded my phone to the new version of system few weeks ago (official upgrade, no cooked ROM), and have some problems with it. First of all - my LEDs signalize no missed calls or new SMS, which is pretty annoying (I keep my display turned off most of the time to increase battery life). Do you know what I can do about that? Second issue is with my alarm. I don't know what exactly is the cause of this, but sometimes it just doesn't ring (and I made sure it was correct time/day/note was filled). Has anybody encountered this? Thank you very much

recently I installed Dutty's Diamond ROM and overall it works flawlessly.
My problem is that almost every day, sometimes few times a day my sound profile gets changed (start-settings-sounds and notofications-notification tab)
I set up almost everything to have sound and vibrations, but something happens and everything gets unchecked...
so after a while I can't hear nor see a messages, reminders, MMSes, just nothing.
I have to go to settings and redo everything.
does anyone have idea what may cause that??

well this is happening to me as well with the ATT stock rom from ATT..
ITS GETTING ME VERY AGGRAVATED
so which version(s) of Opera should i have on this phone so that this doesnt happen.

hi .. i am using the 02 xda diamond and a severe problem showed up yesterday : i tried to call someone but he couldnt hear my voice when i was speaking, then he called me back and :
1.) the phone didnt ring, same for SMS
2.) he couldnt hear my voice, again (mic was on )
so i made a soft reset and everything was fine. phone ringed, i could phone .. today : its the same like yesterday. is this a known bug or something ? i didnt change the rom. the only think i worked on was the file cache using advanced config 2.x.
Well, first things first, I'd download the new advancedconfig 3.0 and use the "restore all settings" option, see if that fixes it. Then you can at least know the problem is in one of your settings, and be careful reapplying tweaks. Not a known problem as far as I know, haven't seen it before. Good luck.
Poor Microphone Quality

I am having the same problem with my Diamond. Whether I call or recieve a call, I can hear everything fine but the sound quality (my voice) for the other person is almost unbearable. It sounds like I'm standing in a wind tunnel...
I've applied the tweaks to speed up Touch Flo 3D...
Are there any tweaks to improve microphone quality?

I would try a backup and after this an hard-reset. If this does not work, you could try to record something with the voice-recorder. If this does not work to, it could be microphone-related - perhaps something, which blocks the little hole for the mic at the bottom of the device?

Ive had that several times since the original XDA, official ROMS mostly, anyhow, usually after updating it with something new it stops and for that reason ive only ever had it happen a few times on different XDAs

Still having the odd problem here and there.

I have the XDA Ignito & have updated to Dutty's ROM. I have the same issue with several poeple complaining that me voice cuts out & the have to piece together the conversation.
I am going to ring o2 tommorow & try to send it back as I am fed up with the battery life which doesn't last 12 hours & now this!
I have the same problem, got my telephone 3 days ago and people are complaining, it sounds like i am in a very windy place.
I got the Touch Pro telephone.
Has there come any good solution to this problem ? Or is the only thing to delivery it back an get a Nokia instead ?
I have the same problem with my Diamond too
Whenever I call or if somebody calls me they can barely hear me. I have to really talk very loud or speak directly to the microphone.
Test using the Voice Recorder and the results are the same.
Got my Touch Pro fixed now i think... All it seems to be was a Hard Reset. The sound is perfect now after the reset.

Hi everyone,
I am experiencing rather unpleasant situations with my HTC Touch Diamond, and I'd like to ask if this kind of behavior is occuring in general or what.
The device behaves itself nicely (e.g. GPS works, wifi works in max performance only but ok, photos can be taken etc.) , but the phone subsystem - receiving and making GSM calls (3G is turned off to save battery all the time for me) is rather buggy. A day doesn't pass in which there is some kind of missbehavior with my device. The phone tempts to deny incoming calls on it's own even though I have TouchLockPro installed (so I'm positive I'm not touching the screen in my pocket or anything). Sometimes, when there's a incoming call, the phone just locks up - continues vibrating and ringing (the lights on the keys are on) even though the caller already hung up a long time ago, doesn't respond to touches and keystrokes and a reset is usually needed (which is annoying since it takes the phone several minutes to become usable again + I loose a call). To me, it seems that the drivers controlling the radio chip are bugged, but overall usage shows that if I disable the stock HTC dialer and use the windows one, it's a bit more stable (not satisfactory though, bug crashes and lockups still occur).
So, does anyone have an idea what's wrong? Is Windows mobile always so crappy that I can't rely on my 400€ phone? For the record, I'm running the stock 1.93.479.3 WWE ROM, radio version is 1.00.25.05 .
A rom reflash seems like a nice idea, but it's gonna be the last resort for me since I'd like to keep my warranty (but if it's the only way to make this phone behave so be it).
Did anybody have similar experiences with the call subsystem on a Diamond and did you manage to solve it? Please share your experiences. Thank you in advance.
Haven't had any of the problems you describe.
You won't hurt your warranty though if you flash to an "official" HTC Rom. I'd suggest flashing to the current 2.03 builds from HTC.
Hm, good idea, but I suppose I'll have to contact HTC first, as for my serial number, the site gives me a "Not supported" message, supposedly since it's my phone is in Slovak language and I'm viewing the English page.
My phone is a Eastern European version (= crappy? ) so no official 2.03 ROM for me.
What happenes if I get my hands on a WWE 2.03 ROM and install it? Since they can tell what version should be installed, I suppose I lose my warranty?

my girlfriend owns an o2 XDA Diamond aka HTC Diamond.
Shes totally annoyed by the screen-lock function.
When the screen is locked and some kind of event appears (e.g. incoming text message or an alarm) the lock seems to fall into some undefined state:
- sceen dark
- you can see the softbuttons for the event (e.g. Read new message and reply)
- you cannot push them, as the screen is locked.
- you cannot unlock the screen trough the pen.
Only thing that helps in those cases is a soft-reset.
This problem happens quite often ... she has to reboot the phone at least two or three times a day ...
The other problem is the overall performance of the UI (is it Manila?)
Is there a faster version than the stock version? Is it possible to install the sense UI on the diamond?
Hope these can be solved without having to flash a whole new Rom?
What are your experience with the battery?
Hers had to be replaced after two days of usage because it became hot an discharged really fast.
Same problem appeard again a few days ago.
Is there any 3rd-party battery with better performance?

Regarding the battery
from personal experience older original roms seemed to be more of a problem then the actual battery, with bad power and radio management resulting in the battery to quickly overheat. make sure you always have the latest original rom installed if youdon't want to run homebrews, you can ofc find these on the official htc homepage.

First of all, a big thanks to pawitp and the other developers for the great ROMs,
my cell (SGS i9000, currently running pawitps nightly 10.1-20130423)
has never been faster, better or more beautiful.
Unfortunately, there is a little drawback:
I have missed several calls, since the phone won't make a sound while being called.
This is the case in over 90% of calls. With SMS notifications, this percentage rises to 100%.
The messenger notifications seem to work almost in every case.
Thanks to the site search, I'm aware of the issues with USB-connections, setting the ringtone
to "unknown", as I have experienced also.
I "fixed" the problem manually by choosing the ringtone (and notification sound) again,
sadly without any observable change for the better.
So, I upgraded the firmware, re-flashed it several times (by Odin and CWM), did wipe (dalvik) cache and tried a different file format for the ringtones. A friend of mine is running the exact same system, but has not experienced the mentioned issue apart from one week or so; and after installation of the newest nightly, his troubles were gone.
As I really like this ROM, I would favor not to switch my beloved firmware.
So, any of you guys has any suggestions how to get rid of that annoying problem?
As already mentioned, I love my SGS with CM, but a cellphone which doesn't ring seems a bit castrated to me^^
Of course I'm more than willing to give more information if needed.
