[Q] Galaxy S, sim card doesn't work after flashing rom

Hi everybody,
yesterday I flashed my phone with the original rom it was shipped and now the sim card does not work. The phone was network locked and I'm afraid that now it does not recognize any rom because of this.
I tried to do the procedure of simlock by rooting the phone but no codes appear after I launch sgux in the file.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

it could well be that your sim is dead if you left it in the phone while flashing. happened to me and it was quite weird, i could make and receive calls and messages, but 3g was dead. the guys at the 3 shop were quite amused as they have not seen anything like it before. anyway, try the sim in another phone, see if that works. ultimately flash to an unbranded rom and try a different sim on your phone.

i recently done a flashing, first to a brazilian unbranded froyo rom, then to darky's rom... i dont know what i did wrong, but i keep trying to restore everything to default, but i cant solucionate this problem.
please, im desperate, i dont know what to do...
please someone help me...

You say you have the original shipped rom .
If thats the case just flash that back if it truly is the original shipped rom .

no, i just wanted to explain what model and things had my phone before i flashed it...
i didnt have any original rom, and, i just tried put in sim from other provider and does not recognise either... i am so afraid that it could be a hardware problem...

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S I9000

I've read the guide to unlock my Device but no success so far.
I have a Device from UK but I'm in Portugal.
I would like to unlock my Device to use it with any SIM Card world Wide or, at least, with one of the 3 Portuguese Operators (TMN; Vodafone and Optimus).
When I turn on my Device with my no authorized SIM CARD the phone starts normaly and there is no unlock prompted. I get GSM access but no 3G access, which means that I'm able to make phone calls but no data is available. I get no access to the WEB.
Can anyone help me with this situation?
btw: when I insert a TMN SIM CARD (another Portuguese Operator) I get FULL ACCESS (GSM and 3G). I think this is weird!!!

I don't have the same problem like tryyyniii. I bought my SGS in the Middle East, particularly in Bahrain. Can someone please help me on how to upgrade my SGS. I already have samsung kies and this is what appears when i connect from keis and try to upgrade my phone:

I really don't know what the problem is. I don't have the android market app, I can't use my video call for skype and yahoo messenger, and this really sucks. I searched for solutions, and i'd really like to try to flash and unroot, but i don't like to brick my phone if something goes wrong, because this is what happened the last time i tried to fix my phone with this method:
1- Backup all your files and apps (after this, the device will be just like new)
2- Set the watch to 24 hours mode
3- Dial this code: *#272*HHMM* (HH for the current Hour MM for the current min)
4- Then chose xsg
I get the market app and it works but my problem is, my simcard isn't working at all; I cant send sms or call, so in short, the network simcard became unavailable. Luckily, i still have warranty, so i returned it to the shop were I bought it, and they can't fix it unless they pay 30$ for the repair, so they just replaced it with a new one.

[Q] i9100xxKP8 busted my phone

Hi everyone,
This is my first time and I am wondering if someone can help. I have tried everything and nothings far.
I have SG SII few weeks ago someone mentioned that ICS was out so I googled it and followed the instructions which installed i9100xxKP8 4.0.3 version and at the first start the phone does not recognise any SIM card you put. I know I made the mistake not noted down the original firmware number etc.. But I am stuck I can't use Kies to upgrade to the proper O2 upgrade which is out.
Any help would be appreciate it before I bin this lovely phone .

Firstly this is the wrong forum this forum is for the Samsung Galaxy S (Not SII/2).
Luckily this is not a phone specific thing all that much.
To get your stock rom go to sammobile.com. Find the firmware that best matches your situation, i.e. country and provider. There are also downloadable instructions. Another thing you could do is go to your correct forum and look for the correct firmware.
To be clear all you have to do is install the stock firmware and your phone should be recognised by Kies. If this doesn't happen then you may have to make another post in the correct thread. A fix you could try (not sure this will work on S2) is type *#262*your imei# and select the correct csc code (Changing the code will reboot your phone and perform a factory reset). Also find this on the sammobile.com website, i think letter codes or something.

[Q] How to know if your device is rooted on Taiwanese Version

Hi,
I know there are questions around how to identify whether my device is rooted, unfortunately have still been unable to determine, mainly because the language of the phone is Taiwanese. I want to install stock HTC One version (English) and have tried various steps to do it.
Have tried the following using help from Google, would appreciate if someone can help me.
1. I bought the phone second hand, the person told me it is a Chinese version however when i searched through forums - it says the chinese version has dual sim. The one i am holding is single sim (micro) , so don't think it is Chinese. The closest i thought would be Taiwanese model.
2. The phone does not have blinkfeed or any of the other features offered by HTC Sense. I tried to go to settings, saw what the original screens look like from web, and i think i don't have the stock HTC One Android version (Just a hunch)

3. On searching forums, i found that i can unboot by downloading the correct ROM.
To download it, i needed CID and Model Number. The model number HTC_One did not have any match. For CID, i booted the phone in bootloader mode (power + Volume down). Now, that started the phone in different language (Taiwanese / Chinese - Not sure).
I was not able to understand anything, just scrolled to the last option and pressed the power off button. Next time, it did boot with normal mode so that helped.
Now, i am still clueless as to what to do. I just want either HTC One original factory ROM or Google Play ROM in English on my phone.
Can anyone help me? Probably the best way is to first be sure whether my phone is actually rooted or am i just overanalyzing.

Buy my Flex d958 in forum Spanish (HTCMania), after 2 weeks started to restart, what format factory and seems to fix it, a few days later stopped working wifi and bluetooth, install the stock rom for my model and I stop recognizing my sim card.

you obviously used the rom for the wrong variant, so put ur phone into download mode and open the LG mobile support tool and let it do its job....hope it helps bud
or if u still want to use .kdz files

then flash that problem should then be fixed
