Well I have a rooted G1 with JF 1.51. Before updating from RC33, the bluetooth worked perfectly with my PS3 official bluetooth headset. Now, i get nothing. It pairs up just fine, and when I attempt to make a call I even hear a small beep, but no sound other than that.
Does anyone have any idea what might have caused this? I also have not updated my radio as I was not sure how to. Could this possibly be causing my problem? If so, can anyone tell me what radio I need? Instructions/how to? and if it is ok to update the radio after I've already updated the firmware?
Any help greatly appreciated.

You need the new radio. Here is the link
http://sapphire-port-dream.googlecode.com/files/ota-radio-2_22_19_26I.zip
Its ok to flash it after you already updated your firmware. Just download that rename to update.zip go into recovery (home + power) and push alt + s and you done.
Thanks a bunch!
This worked out great.

Hi. I just upgraded from CyanogenMod 3.6.8.0 to 3.6.8.1 (I had a theme put on) and it gave me an error while updating. I used the Incremental Update package.
After that, I realized that I couldn't hear the people from the other end of the line, though the could hear me. Then I tried puting it in speaker, and it worked fine. The headphones also work.
I wiped the phone and installed CyanogenMod 3.6.8.1 from scratch, and nothing. I reupdated the radio to the latest, and nothing.
Any idea of what happened, or what should I do?
The Radio is 2.22.19.26I
Thanks in advance!

Have you tried downgrading your ROM to make sure it is something to do with 3.6.8.1?
I just did, still doesn't work.

... hardware error? Are you sure that the ROM flashed correctly? Incomplete flashes can be a problem... Maybe try flashing RC29 and see if you get audio there. If you do, re-root and reflash the ROM that you actually want.

If it still doesn't work I would contact Tmobile, sounds like a dead ear speaker?

If it is (and your phone is not under warranty), the speaker is easy to replace. I have a second G1 with a bad speaker. Took me about 5 minutes to get it out (can do it in under a minute now that I have done it a few times).
The speaker is about 45 dollars on the internet (just google it).
I'm not sure how, but now it's working. I wiped and flashed the 3.6.8.0, but I had done that before, so I'm not really sure... Anyways, thanks, and I'm relieved it wasn't a hardware problem.
Sometime between flashing JacHEROski1.6r3cc(from twitter. Really slow by the way, needs tweaking) AND Cyan's 4.0.4 my G1 has decided that wifi doesn't need to work anymore.
I've tried several roms since I realized it wasn't able to turn on to try and get it working. I've also search Q&A and Dream Development looking for anyone or anything on the issue with no result.
I've reflashed the radio and spl and even had no luck with getting it to work on JF1.51 ADP. I'm stumped and would like to get it working.
I'm sorry in advance if this thread is uncalled for. Delete it if you must, but after 3 days of searching and requesting help from fellow xda peeps I am still without a fix.
Roms I've flashed since the problem
Jacheroski's
1.6r2 a & b
Cyan's
4.0.3
4.0.4
4.1.1
Jacxrom
1.4r2
1.4r3
JF
1.51 ADP
Twisted's
4.5r3
All with the same result "unable to start WIFI"
Edit: 8/31/09
Okay so after calling T-mobile's PDA tech support I've found out that this issue has warrant for replacement. It is a know issue with their latest update. Before they could send me out a replacement I had to check the color indicator circle to make sure it is white (which it is) and give the my G1's IMEI # which I did located under the battery. I am now waiting for a replacement which should arrive in a week. SO Yeah!!! I wasn't able to change the color though (the bronze has a hard to read slide out keyboard is dim light) and I guess my battery warranty was up in July = [
I have a few days left before I have to send it in. Does anybody want any info off my device before I return it? Like logs etc. Just pm me.
Mod thanks for not closing this thread right away = ]
Mod okay to close = ]

Huh... well... I hate to say it... but it may be a hardware issue. Sorry. If you wipe and flash your rom then it should start up. Or maybe it could be your access point (if it's an 802.11a or something).
you may want to hit me for saying this, but if you can't get a wipe/flashing fix, try going back to rc-29 and finding the stock 1.5 update (someone has it in their sig i just can't recall right now, sorry). and see if it will work in a stock build. if it doesn't then it is a hardware problem and your phone will be back at stock so you can call for help. if it does work on stock though, since you have already rooted your phone before i have an easy to follow guide to get you back to the latest and greatest cyanogen mod from stock in my sig
hope this is of some help
definitely try what binary100100 posted above me first though.
I'll try R29. I am rooted. I can su in terminal in all the roms accept Cyan's 4.1.1 (theres something weird with it) So my plan is to flash to an Official T-mobile rom and call for tech support. is there anything I need to know before I call tomorrow?

do not mention ANYTHING about rooting, flashing, recovery, anything technical at all. the dumber you sound the better.
Thanks for the advice. I will post my findings tomorrow.
Have you looked thru your kernel log (dmesg) for any error messages that might show up when you attempt to turn on your wireless radio? I'd check there first and post back.
i finally got my tilt 2 to wor but the the head phone icon is stuck up top and i can only use my head phones any ill donate if yall can help me out soon as possible'
Catch me up here. What was the main problem in the first place?
Also, you wouldn't happen to be in Lexington, NC would you?
You need to provide WAY more information if you want help. Did this issue pop up right after flashing a ROM, or did it start after you installed other apps? What ROM? Did you run Task29 before the flash?
He obviously already had a thread going on this matter.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=814552
And, all I can say is to flash a stock rom, then task 29, then flash a custom..... See what happens....

Flash task 29 and then flash a really basic rom and see if the issue goes away.. if not it sounds like a hardware issue..

Place the file in sdcard root directory. Restart phone in hboot mode. File should be automatically detected. Press vol up on prompt to install radio. Wait for file to finish flashing. Done.

Hello everyone! I am looking for a fix for my phone after updating to Android Pie. My Bluetooth microphone is low, as well as a wired headset volume. This was not the case before the update. I have restarted the phone, set the phone's audio to mono, and still low volume. My wife turned the volume all the way up on her phone and it doesn't matter. I even went to developer options and shut off the Bluetooth moderation setting.
Any suggestion short of rooting me would be much appreciated.

Have you tried reflashing the full firmware? Backup everything (photos/music/videos/etc) and then reflash the entire firmware. It will fully reset/format the phone, but it should fix it. I had that problem from an OTA update in the past, and that was how I was able to fix it.

Can you point me in the direction of a guide on how to do so? I am really reluctant to brick my phone, don't have a backup if this fails!
Thanks in advance!

Thanks, but that is what I used to reflash the firmware. Everything else pretty much works except for the low volume issue.
