any chance to revive it ?

I don't see anyone else responding, but I believe you have a nice new brick.
Sorry but I have to say: R.I.P your diamond
i have the same problem too...so there is nothing that can be done? a test point or something like that? there have to be a way... i hope

Hi all i`m always changing my roms and radio`s like you do lol i had duttys rom installed and hard spl olinex 1.93 also. my problem is and like a true div i used the wrong program on the diamond cos i have the tytn aswell so put that program on my diamond and now it is bricked lol the program was hard spl for the tytn or something can`t remember exactly what. can`t get into bootloader or reset as nothing at all and wont start up or vibrate etc can`t get active sync to find phone so i would say 100% bricked lol i am sending the diamond tomorrow for repairs to htc.
what i want to know is as it has a cooked rom and olinex installed and i bought it new from someone who was selling their upgrade will they be-able to tell whats on the phone if it is bricked and then refuse to fix it or cos it is bricked they`ll never be-able to see what rom etc is installed on it??? it was originally on the orange network uk so would that affect the repair??
any help would be much appreciated keep up the good work to all xda-developers and forum user`s cheers tony

If you flashed the Tytn SPL to a Diamond, you can forget it, it is a shiny paperweight...
Unless the JTAG points for the device are found it is most definitely a brick.
lol thought as much lol thats what happens when you have more than one phone lol would they know it has a cooked rom installed when they investigate why it bricked? cheers

If they unbrick it, then yes, they will know it has a custom ROM flashed to it. However, they will still fix it and just bill you.
damn lol is there a way of blagging it so if i say i bought the phone with the cooked rom installed already and thought that was the original rom from new?? just play dumb lol is it expensive if they unbrick it?? cheers
just to add that dutty`s rom was great and had nothing to do with me bricking my phone. just incase people interpret me the wrong way and think its a rom problem
morning all my phone is being picked up today and was just wondering if they do fix or reflash my phone will it be back to being locked to the orange uk network again even though i unlocked it??? cheers

HTC will flash the most recent ROM available for your device. If your phone is Orange branded, then that is the ROM they will flash to it.
thanks for that mate but i need to know if it will be locked back to orange uk meaning can i use any sim card or will it be on orange uk only cheers
anyone else with any suggestions please cos i`m getting a bit worried that htc will refuse to repair and if they do how much the cost will be. has anyone from the uk had the same problem and bricked there phone? and how much does it cost for them to repair?? thank you
just an update about my repair got my diamond back today and they replaced the main board cos i bricked the diamond so i have a new imei number and life time call counter is back to zero i never got charged for this repair and now i can even hard reset the phone where before it wouldn`t work so have faith if you have bricked your diamond
Hello everyone,
today I tried to update the rom of my diamond, I tested diverse cooked rom, but at the end I made the mistake to flash a CDMA (american system) rom instead of a GSM rom. Now the telephone is blocked at boot.
I see the initial screen "Toch diamond" and the telephone goesn't forward. I tried soft and hard reset, but the result doesn't change: the phone doesn't boot.
In this state I cannot connect the phone to the PC to reload a new Rom!!
Now the question is: is it possible to repair it or should I throw it away?
Must I take it to a service centre or can Istill attempt something myself?
Can someone suggest me a HTC assistence center in Munich (D)?
Thanks
Paolo

hi did you do the hardspl first if so just put your diamond into bootloader mode and reflash from your computer.
to enter bootloader mode hold down the vol button and then soft reset then connect it to pc. At the bottom you should see USB. After that, you should be able to reflash
I hope the helps you
Hallo Cobbs,

i dnt know what ROM you flashed but if you got stuck on a white screen it might of been a bad flash due to maybe: a bad download or wrong SPLor something else (multiple reasons) first make sure you are hardSPL also that you phone is GSM & to get the best answer on you question post on the correct threat where you got the ROM from.

i used Rhodium-HardSPL_V2_00R3_185HSPL to flash it then MR.X_RhodiumW_2.5.
i wanted to try MR.X_RhodiumW_2.5.... and how do i know my HTC is CDMA or GSM?
If you have a SIM card for using your phone, it is GSM. If not, CDMA.

Sorry that's not right. The CDMA phones also have a SIM slot for when roaming.
The best way to tell is to take out your battery and look at the phone model number, near to where the serial number is written. GSM phones are RHOD100, RHOD200, RHOD300 (and variants which alter the last two digits). CDMA phones are RHOD400 and RHOD500.
MR.X_RhodiumW_2.5 is a cmda rom. Flash a gsm rom. (check battery first)
If you did flash the wrong type of ROM, it's easy to fix. Just put the phone into bootloader (hold the Volume Down button and keep it down while you press reset, and wait for the tri-coloured screen to appear), connect it to your PC and flash another ROM.
I need some help with installing and trouble shooting my phone.
I've been following tutorial after tutorial on xda dev but I can't seem to get any of the roms working.
They all send me to an infinite boot loop.
I've got a CDMA HTC Touch Diamond
My Carrier is Telus
Bootloader SPL 0.57
I would say I bricked it but I'm not sure yet.
So far I've tried out mtty but I can't get my phone to hard reset. I probably don't know my terms due to the fact I'm new to the windows rom scene.
Can anyone help me via teamviewer?
Just to make sure I have everything set right because it would really suck to have to buy a new phone. :S

You must Upgrade SPL to HardSPL in order to you be able to flash any Diamond ROM to your device! This tool will then allow you to change the ROM language, flash cooked ROMs, custom splash screens, etc...
Hy. I houp someone can help me to solve the problem. Yesterday bought a second hand HTC Touch Diamond CDMA (unlocked from ORANGE), and HTC was in russian language. So i wanted to flash it, because i dont know russian language. Tried to flash ROM, used MightyGroovy rom from here, everything was fine after flashing, but phone didnt boot up, just showing Touch Diamond on screen and thats it. Tried soft and hard reset but nothing happened. I cant connect HTC to computer to flash it again > getting error 260
Is it posible to instal android on my phone, while its in this sh*** condition? Or it has to be synced with windows mobile device center to instal android?
Sorry for my english, i know its terible.
connect it to the computer with USB, try installing a new rom on it. worked for me.

should you try to hard reset the device, then make sure your device go to the bootloader to the Flash again
Thanks, hard reset and bootloader worked for me, but i dont get this > diference between CDMA touch diamond and casual touch diamond, because i have CDMA version, but rom that i flashed was for casual touch diamond, and as i understand you can brick Diamond CDMA flashing with rom for casual Diamond rom.
