My wife has a tytn II on business contract with vodafone. She has only ever had the cr*ppy white keyboard which is next to useless. She managed to forget her password so we hard reset it and upgraded to the vodafone win 6.1. She still only has the cr*ppy white keyboard.
I have a touch dual with both HTC keypad and keyboard on it so wondered if you can add these to the vodafone ROM. I did a search and found a couple of files but a)they were confusing and b) they weren't specific to the Tytn II.
Is there an easy way to add these????

I noticed the following with my HTC TyTN II.
When I perform a soft-reset, and "logon" to my KPN provider, I can make outgoing phone calls. BUT I can't be called for about 15 minutes.
People who call me are redirected to my voice mail. After about 15 minutes they can call me.
I tried this with my Vodafone SIM card, but I could'n reproduce the problem with my Vodafone SIM, it happens only with my KPN SIM.
When I put my KPN SIM into my Samsung E900, I also don't have this problem. Anyone any ideas, what can be the problem?
I had this problem with Telfort on my old phone (I-Mate Jam) but a.t.m with HTC TyTN II I have no problem.
You could best contact KPN and request them to send your phone the phone settings for KPN. I requested mine from Telofrt and it worked al tho the TyTN II had automaticly installed the settings of Telfort.

I've run the automatic connection setup, and set it up for KNP. After my latest hard reset I cancelled this setup. (I think this is what you mean?)
But did didn't solve the problem. Would it make a difference when I call KPN to receive the settings?

Hmz that could help. As I said it worked on my I-Mate Jam. But the funny thing is I bought my I-Mate Jam from Dubai and I-Mate has a english and a arabic ROM so I had the arabic one, that's why I needed the settings.
I bought my HTC Tytn II from dubai. But the ROM is english and it had the settings originaly.
So try it

I tried, but it didn't help. My settings for KPN are OK.
Hi guys…
Bit of a desperate first post!
Picked up a HTC Diamond Touch last week locked to Orange and unlocked it using Olinex’s solution on here…
Now, I’ve put my T-Mobile SIM and all is working fine… calls, mobile internet… everything…
Well, everything but SkyMobile TV…
The HTC Touch Diamond on Orange supports SkyMobile TV… and the equivalent phone, MDA Compact IV on T-Mobile also supports the SkyMobile TV app… put the T-Mobile SIM into the HTC Touch Diamond however and it’s a different issue! The website says it's not a compatible handset... go figure
From searching there’s about a post and a half from a year or so back now that just kind of died a death… the guy who responded mentioned changing the user agent in the Opera browser, but didn’t quite know what the correct user agent was, lol…
Now, I’m reluctant to flash (I’ll have to, right?) and install the T-Mobile ROM given the bloatware it comes with… but I’m really kind of eager to get Sky Mobile TV on the phone and make those commutes into work a little more bearable!
All help, greatly appreciated!
Problem solved for all those that care, lol...
Went into the opera:config screen and changed the browser user agent to a T-Mobile compatible one... used MDA Compact IV since that's the T-Mobile HTC Diamond equivalent
"Opera/9.50 (Windows NT 5.1; MDA_compact_IV/1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1; U; en)"
Hi,
I have been looking throughout the forums for a solution, but couldn't find any.
The keys on my HTC TyTN II from Orange UK respond to the AT&T layout, which is really irritating, as it takes me more time to edit a message than actually writing it.
Every idea how this could be solved is highly appreciated.
Thanks.
hi folks,i have used the old make your kaiser appear as a nokia n95 / n96 on 3uk's network.worked before updating to a winmo 6.5 rom.
now i want to use an o2 iphone payg sim in my kaiser, anyone clever out there want to have a go at it ?
i know it has something to do with changing the user agent and that this can be done manualy,so if anybody can help with these settings for a kaiser would be handy for a few other people as well.
I bought a tilt from the US two years ago. I am in Romania now and My screen broke. I bought a tytn II replacement screen, replaced it in a cellphone repair shop and when I got it back the touchscreen doesn't work. I tried reinstalling a the original HTC rom and att tilt stock rom but no luck. What can I do.
The serial numbers on the screens do not match. Is it supposed to be this way? I need help fast because I want to leave this phone with my fioncee so I can talk to her on skype with it.
