Hi,
I have a Diamond which I've recently flashed with Gen.Y's R5 NLD rom and radio 1.17
At first everything was fine. However, since a few days when I connect the diamond to my (windows 7 x64) PC I get a message "USB Device not recognized". I've reinstalled Mobile Device center to no avail.
I've also tried unchecking "Enable advanced network functionality", but that neither helped.
Luckily I can synchronize activesync through bluetooth, but it's really slow, also for files.
Internet connection through USB works fine though.
Anybody got an idea what I could do?
here to help
1. make sure you have the latest windows mobile device center
2. plug the device into usb port
3. go to control panel administrative tools - computer management - device manager
4. click on universal serial bus controllers and uninstall any usb root hubs and usb composite device
5. unplug the device
6. restart the computer
7. plug in your device
My problem is the following:
I decided to flash a custom rom on my HTC HD7, and started by connecting the phone to my computer (Win 7, 32bit) via USB while in Bootloader. The phone is recognized as "Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM" (HTC USB Sync) and the drivers installs correctly, but when I try to install drivers for the "Unidentified device" with WMDC the installation starts and ends shortly there after with the message "Device unplugged" and a message that the drivers weren't installed.
In device manager I can see the "Qualcomm device" but there is no sign of the phone (supposed to show as "Schubert" if I've understood correctly) or any unknown device. I've also tried this on another laptop with same OS but I get the same messages and no sign of the phone in device manager.
Does anyone have an idea of what's wrong?
You have to install " Mobile device center" in your computer before installing drivers
regards
I've installed WMDC but when i connect my phone there is no sign of it in Device Manager or any drivers being installed, only "Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM", and WMDC shows no connected device. The bootloader on the phone tells me that the phone is connected with USB, but my PC doesn't
show any sign of it.
Can't seem to connect to Windows 8 through USB. It chimes and the Touchpad says connected as a media device. But I don't see it in Windows. Tried checking and unchecking MTP in storage settings and nothing.

Try PDA drivers
http://pdanet.co/a/
Try this one https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_FvGqUZPknjMnRmYUxCcm5SQWM/view?usp=sharing it has all the drivers. If MTP still not working, download and install windows "Media Player 11".
Here is the solution
Download the attached zip and extract it.
You'll find wpdmtp.inf
Method 1
In device manager "Add a legacy hardware" and select this inf file
In the last select MTP USB Driver
Method 2
Right-click on inf file and select install after that connect your device
if device still not get connected open Device manager
find device with yellow exclamation mark (make sure ur phone is connected)
Right-click on it
Select Update Driver
Manually add driver by navigating to the extracted inf file>>Next
In the end select MTP USB Driver
