man, pay 20eur to revskills, it´s completly worthy it! QMAT is something we use constantly, and full version is very cheap.
I´ll generate it for you, but consider giving the programmer something for his efforts.

hi, Boss Vazgsm!!!
I really wanna pay 20 for QMAT. But i m just a chinese student, i dont have available bank card to pay it on international websites out of china. Could u pls help to calculate one img for me??? million million thanks to u!!!!
my CID is 00510009531f4003424d3832314e4918
Beg your pardon, you have a tp2 but can´t afford $20 for the Prog?
Sounds illogical to me... Sorry! A little bit like: I just bought a Ferrari but can anyone please pay the gas?
I really DON'T wanna pay 20 for QMAT. Very few people will pay €20 just to flash a stock rom, specially knowing that HSPL will probably be out before too long.
QMAT is full of powerful features that I won't ever use, but I would like to flash a stock HTC rom to my Vodafone Pro2. There are other people in the same position as me.
I might pay €1 or so for a simple program that allows me to flash a stock ROM to tide me over before HSPL is finished, but €20 is way beyond what this is worth to me.
I wonder if there would be any chance of the developer / someone else releasing a simple, maybe device specific 'goldcard generator' program for people like me (and others on this forum) who want to flash a stock rom, but don't want to buy QMAT? Would anyone else here like that?
Such a product would be useful for any new device prior to HSPL being released.

In China, you can easily have a bank card(debit card) and use it for online payment only for Chinese site(Union Pay). But difficult (for students) to have a VISA/Master card that can be used for internationl payment/donation.
Sorry
for my last post.
Now it sounds more logical to me and i hope you accept my apology.

I do not agree with that. Remember that you should support the software makers or no more releases. Programming is a time consuming job, I know that. If everyone supports the programmers, better software can come outside. I will for sure bought the licence for me. Also the program makes a lot more that install roms.

Well I got my first tilt the day it was released, had it until Christmas when I got an iphone. The iphone was cool until the "cool" factor wore off. Sold it unlocked for $500 on eBay the night before the new one was announced LOL, anyway I purchased another tilt because of the usefulness of the phone. I have had it for 3 weeks and am still debating whether to try a cooked rom or not. I typically text on the device, I will most likely get the $15 dollar unlimited data plan and from there will use the 3g internet frequently and get email ever couple of hours.....why should I use a cooked ROM.
I feel confident flashing it but Im worried about the Radio's and what ROMS come with them or dont.
Currently Im using the ATT ROM w/o all the BS they try to install for you. It works....that's about all it does atm.
Thanks in advance!
Don't do it man. Once you start flashing, it will never stop. Much like the tale of Goldilocks, you will end up looking for the one that is 'just right'. This usually means finding the closest fit and tweaking it to your needs. This or cooking one of your own.
P.S. My hat is off to the cooks out there. I have barely scratched the surface on cooking my own, and it is a daunting amount of knowledge and wisdom to absorb.
You'll find a good cooked rom is 100x faster than the ATT rom.

Please don't post this kind of stuff in the Rom Development forum. If you must post this kind of useless thread, please do it in the general forum. In addition to being against forum etiquette, it also clutters the forum and very much frustrates the people who are actually doing rom development. To borrow a humorous picture from AllTheWay, because it makes me laugh:

Just try it and see if you like it. The danger is very, very, very small if you're flashing correctly. Flashing 2, 3 or even 6 roms in a night won't hurt.
Also, read the appropriate thread for the answer to the radio question.
Why should you use a cooked rom? Because the raw ones will give you salmonilla poisioning.

Lmao! And no one can convince you to try a cooked ROM But be warned. IT is an addiction. Flash it or lose it
The addiction wears off once you release 20+ ROMs of your own to the public for the same device. I guarantee that you'll be visiting this place alot less...
That is until you get your next new toy, which will make you use someone else's ROM that didn't quite meet your needs, so you wind up making your own ROM again and the cycle begins anew
Believe me you DON'T want to use a cooked ROM. AT&T knows how to make quality stuff. You don't wantsome hackers to have claimed to make it better.
Basically Don't Its not worth your time.

I am getting my kaiser tomorrow, and was wondering something. Why should i hack/flash it? I have an Ipod touch jailbroken, and really the only thing it allows me to do is get a few cool games for free and some utilities. That is about it.
I want to put some games on it, from some freepcmobile site. I want to use it for pictures and playing music.
So, should i even bother flashing it? What will that get me? That xda site is so in depth, there must be something I am missing.

Hmmm are you serious?
First, look here.....
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Kaiser#ROMx20.Upgrading
Secondly, hacking/flashing does several things for you...as you would have read within the first page of the wiki. Changing the rom allows you to remove the bloatware manufacturers load into the operating system. This therefore increases storage and memory for your device to operate on which makes the phone faster. Changing SPL ( the bootloader ) allows you to CID unlock your phone.... allowing you to use any carriers GSM card inside, as well as makes your phone more valuable for resale. If these things dont appeal to you, then by all means, stick with the manufacturer forums and keep your stock roms. If youre not familiar with flashing and the likes, or are worried about breaking ( bricking ) your Kaiser, then its best to leave well enough alone and keep all the bloatware ( factory installed advertisements / ect )
Hope this helps
I did not mean to sound like an idiot, because i know I get irritated when something I know so well, then someone asks such a noob question.
However, thank you for all of the info. A lot of forums, if i would post this question, people would just yell. I did check the xda website, and seeing there was so much info, i was not sure where to start.
I dont care about unlocking the phone, and as far as bloatware, i may go ahead and flash it and remove, but maybe not for a few weeks. I am going to get an 8GB card, or maybe try and find a 16GB card. They seem to be very hard to find.

I would leave it alone until you KNOW that you need/want to flash it.
You need to get to know what you like and don't like about the TILT. How does it currently work. The manufacturers give you a pretty good phone. If it had LOTS of problems they would not release it. So it will be stable.
The problem is that those of us who have flashed their phone got tired of the perceived slowness, or wanted it to work differently, or wanted to add a different interface... (ad nauseum) - this does not mean it is inherently "better" merely that it now works more like WE wanted it to work.
So - get your phone and have fun - and when you are TOTALLY convinced the that only thing that will make you happy is a new interface do your research - then do some more - READ all the WIKI's and STICKYs - you can "brick" your phone (make it unuseable) and if you simply post a note here that says help - I tried to flash my phone and it does not work you are likely to get yelled at if it is perceived that you simply did it without reading.
Hope this helps,
Bill
I don't think you should hack your phone.

You're a sick man. First you torture us with TouchIt 5 and 6.5. I still can't decide which I prefer. I'm swapping between the 2 trying to decide and then I see this post. It's a form of torture you know. Stable or not I'd like to give it a try. If you need more testers l'd love to help. I'm learning (hopefully fast) and starting to explore that strange world called the Registry. Thanks again.

I am so happy to have the x1 again - your ROMS make it PERFEKT device.
It is the second best ROM after iPhone 3.0 Beta 2.
My opinion this looks much MUCH better than 6.5

Same with me... I thought that it's my fault before, but now I see that it's the bug. Can you fix it please?
Is it april's fool or not ITJE?
I love your 5.04, I tried the 6 but it was too buggy and also it was the time I've seen that there is a crack in my Xperia case, and I got angry and was thinking to sell it to someone so I downgrade it to R2AA. But now I though what the f..k I can't live without my XPERIA so I installed the 5.04 and I love it!!!! THANKS MAN...
OK is it you fooling us or not?
I'm sure the kids on here are gonna start flaming because of my post, but whatever, let them...; I'll apologize ahead of time, I am very frustrated, I've e-mailed, PM'd AND sent a ticket through their website. ALL have been ignored. Thanks, cmonex and olipro, thanks a lot, for ignoring requests for help using YOUR tool.
I believe Olipro and cmonex have made enough money forcing people to "donate" for their SPL unlocking. In the SPL topic right now, in the past few pages especially, there are a lot of first time SPL flashers who are being told they've already done it and being forced to either PAY or not flash their phone. Now, I do like donationware, but what they're doing is FORCING donations, which means they aren't really donations so much as FEES. Here's my thing though...I'd donate, happily, if the software actually worked ONE TIME on my new phone. But instead, they have the "you've already done this" bs pop up and force people to pay or go without. I will not "donate" for something that doesn't even work as promised.
Apologies for the rant, but it pisses me off. Is there a way to flash a ROM without doing the Hard SPL, or is there a way to unlock the SPL without having to pay the people who REQUIRE donations before I even see results?
This is not a flame
Wow. Really?? I have used this forum and the HardSPL tools for free for over 3 years. Never had an issue. Never found it necessary to tear down the folks that provided their hard work for free. Maybe you just need to move on.
No, the only way to flash a custom ROM on the Rhodium at this time is to use HardSPL. I can understand your extreme frustration with the HardSPL licensing system, but I can guarantee that cmonex and Olipro are not intentionally forcing users to donate. It's a shame to see that HardSPL is not available for everyone right now, but the only way to flash a cooked ROM without a HardSPL is using an SSPL, like the Leo had at first. There is actually an extremely similar topic to this one a few threads down from this one, asking for an SSPL to be created for the Rhodium, but I doubt anyone will do that. I do hope that this gets sorted out soon, so you can all enjoy cooked ROMs as well, but I think you'll probably have to endure the stock ROM for awhile longer.
The best alternative I can offer you is to create a goldcard by buying PSAS for 30 Euros and creating a goldcard. Once you create a goldcard and use it successfully, your device will be SuperCID, which allows you to flash any official, signed ROM for the Rhodium, so long as it came from an official source (HTC, Vodafone, AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.) and is GSM. The official 6.5 ROM for the unlocked European TP2 is probably the best you can get until you can flash a custom ROM with HardSPL.
And completely unrelated: 1000th post!

kimtyson - I'm not tearing anyone down. I'm calling it the way my experiences with it have made me see it. It's good that YOU haven't had any problems but there are many of us here who are having the SAME problem. Usually I wouldn't voice my frustrations like that, but I'm sick of all requests for help being ignored and being referred to the "make a donation for it to work" page at every turn, so save your "move on" nonsense for someone else.
Dave - Thanks. I'm glad to see someone here actually offer ideas instead of insults. You're the kind of person who keeps people coming here. I've asked for help before and been flamed and cussed out for it. That's why I've been here so long and have so few posts. So again, thanks, I appreciate the suggestion.

Ditto....that's all I did.
The only time you need to pay is if you try to install Hard SPL on more than 1 rhodium from the same IP address... It was done like this so businesses didn't just run amok and unlock X amount of mobiles without giving something back to the developers...
I have 2 Rhodium handsets and to be honest, the 4 or 5 pounds to unlock the 2nd phone wasn't excessive...
Best investment I made for the returns...
Cheers...

So to the OP: if this is correct, you 'just' need a different IP-Adress, so flash your phone from a friends internet connection (take your laptop there or use his PC)
Just so long as your friend isn't so impressed they run out and get 1 too.... Then they gotta pay to Hard SPL....
Closed.
Dave (the TyTN guy) has explained the process quite well.
I can't see what this thread hopes to achieve. If you have a problem, post in the Hard SPL thread or in mskip's guide.

There is alot of reasons people would want their phone rooted even if they didn't know how to do it. Remove bloatware, speed up the UI, use incompatible apps...and alot more.
I do agree that you should do it yourself to know how to fix it if something goes wrong, but when it comes down to it, it is their phone and they can do with it as they please.
The same could be said for basically anything though. If you can't change your own oil, should you be driving a car?

I agree with this. I cant root my phone (on my own). But I followed someone elses guide & was succesful. My GF has a wildfire S, & has constant problems with lack of memory. She cant root, or even follow a guide, but it needs doing to make the phone usable.
Guess it's a service they are providing but consumers might as well go on YouTube or Google and save yourselves $30. God knows how their software works. Good luck to them trying to explain to someone on how to unlock the HTC One X for example with their software.

Lol you should explain to them that that's not how It works!
Rooting a phone Is a joke IMO, Who would pay $35? I mean If It were flashing ROM's and what not then I somewhat understand that as that's where the brick can happen but can you really brick doing a simple root that takes less then 5 minutes?

Umm no. You have far more of a chance bricking your phone during the root process than flashing a ROM. Rooting can involve unlocking bootloaders, changing bootloaders, using unsecure boot images, flashing unsecure kernels...all of which can brick a phone...even if doen correctly. Flashing a ROM, 99.99999% of the time will not brick your phone.
I think this is only for very noobs
