Error with certificates? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

I used the Haret and Android thing once and then shut down the phone, i turned it back on and i think (not 100% sure) there was a message about some application not being trusted etc. I didnt take notice and then attempted to flash my phone to 6.5. I took out the mem card, sim battery as instructed. The software in the Flashing Your First Kaiser Rom wouldnt run (certificate, trusted error etc.) and then after putting back in sim card and microsd, not even haret or alot of other application would work, what happened and how do i fix this?

Can anyone help me?

BUMP again, i know this is from like 6 months ago but i really want to flash my phone again xD. Almost no applications work now = S. Anybody know a solution?

sms taking 5 mins to open!! PLZ HELP

Ive been having some problems with my tmo wing lately in terms of extreem lagging. Ever since I have used pocket mechanic to defrag my storage card, everything went to sh1t on my phone. I cant boot my phone with my storage card in the slot or it will just reset when it gets to the green windows mobile background. And most importantly, whenever I open "Messages" on my phone, it takes honestly 5 or more minutes to open, then another 5 to open sms/mms then another 5 mins to open/reply to a sms. My program memory is usualy always ATLEAST over 10MB and I had batery status running and while i was opening these windows at the task bar it showed it was using 0% or minimal processor usage, so im assuming that it's not executing properly... does someone have a fix for this? can someone help me out? because to temporarely fix the issue i have to reboot the phone... thanks!

Here's something you should try.
Remove the card then insert it into a card reader at your computer. Copy everything on it and then format the card using FAT16.
Now back-up everything possible on the phone. (in your case this could take a while). Place the back-up file on the computer, if you use the card for back-up reformat it again after you complete the process. Then hard reset the phone and check to see if it still has this problem. Place the empty card inside the phone and try to copy some stuff to it. If everything is ok, restore your files using that back-up you just made. Check to see if the problem manifests now. If it does, clearly there is something rong with your program configuration and you may want to reinstall all your programs manually.
If the phone still runs slow after a master reset you should try to rewrite the phone's ROM as a last resort option. (your back-up copy woun't work after this). If it still runs slow even after this, then... well that's bad. It's something I call "the dead slow card problem". I've tried to find a fix for this for about 3 years on different htc products, but with no succes. The good part is that there's a very small chance this can happen in the normal every day usage. Try this things first and tell me what happens.
wow... Before i even attempt this surgery, i just want to say thank you very much for taking the time to write all this. it's very appreciated.
Before i try all this, i got a few Qs.
What do i use to back up my stuff on my device? or do i just copy paste important stuff... if so what about extensions and associated files...
And what involves a hard reset? does it effect the registry tweaks that i have done? in the end... what will be reset?

I really appreciate ur help! ive done as u said and everything seems fine now... my phone is now back to scratch, which im happy with so I can start fresh and avoid all that junk I had on before... THANKS FOR UR HELP! UVE BEEN GREAT! A+

Hi, I recently flashed my phone to cyanogens 3.6.8.1 all was well until yesterday when the phone screen displayed vertical lines like a grey color, the phone could receive calls but from t mobile customer service and it was booting up tho I couldn't see the screen. Then I took the sim card out and the screen returned to normal but was stuck in the splash screen. I reflashed and sometime the next day it happened again, this time I took out the sim card and it went back to normal
Any ideas

Could you post a log of this? Could you also provide some more details about your set-up (a2sd? swap? comcache? spl/recovery?) and how did you get to this point (did you wipe before flash? did you run any back-up apps, what were you doing when it happened?)
Once we have that info we should be able to figure it out.
I started out with th jesus freak rom then I decieded to flash the cyanogens 3.6.8.1, I had trouble with the market because I hadn't wiped first, I did that and all was well for at least 5 days. I created an ext2 partition for apps2sd but I'm not sure if that worked. Then on the Saturday 6 days later I put fotmob on my phone so I could keep an eye on the opening premiership season put the phone in my pocket whilst at the football and 2 hours later the phone screen was dead, nobody could call me tho I know the phone was operating and booting only t mobile manage to get through, I tried a reboot, then took the sim card out and the screen went back to normal but was stuck on the splash screen. I tried fixing file ext but came as error asomething about the super block being unreadable tried manually but didn't work, tried backup still stuck, reflashed worked fine for. 20 hours then it happened again this time I wasn't doing anything with the phone no programs other than the usual running in the background, this time I removed the sim card and the phone went back to normal again for about 4 hours then it happened again this time removing the sim didn't work.straight away but eventually it came good again.
Its now 11 15 and its running fine again. I have noticed that I now only have one ringtone (dream theme) and one notification tone and I'm getting a few force closes tho I not sure what they are I will report them if and when I see them
you need to get audio resources and unzip to the sd card all the ringers. search xda for audio resources
The screen went dead again at 3pm this time after removing the sim card it stayed the same it was only after leaving the battery off it returned to normal again about 10 minutes later, I am also getting a vending core force close from time to time, please someone help me solve this issue.
P.s I've never actually seen the phone do this it happens when it is in my pocket when I get it out it happens also this time I have not installed any software and it is still happening

Because you lost your ringtones, it sounds like your SD card is acting funny, I would format it using this guide (make only 2 partitions for the time being, fat32 and ext3).
See if that works...May be complete reflash with wipe wouldn't be a bad idea neither.
That's all I can suggest at this point, I'll need to see a log to be anymore specific, but try this out, sounds like you've got nothing to loose
Good luck.
Thanks for your reply I am very greatful, I have tried a different sd card without setting up partitions and it still happens. I think the latter is true and a complete reflash is definately the thing to do.
I think this may be a hardware issue because as I mentioned it only happens when it has been in my pocket for a while, perhaps it is overheating or something.
I'll try a complete reflash and let you know if it happens again.
Wipe, re-flash, reformat your sd (or take it out altogether, just to rule it out see what happens... This is all I can tell you....
good luck

[Q] stock nexus one highly unstable after boot up

my stock nexus one becomes highly unstable after booting up. im running strock 2.2.1, and this issue started apearing recently (after 2.2.1 update). the phone has never had any problems in the past.
whenever i turn the phone on, if i touch it it becomes really laggy and freezes, requiring me to pull the battery. however, if i let it sit for 15-20 minutes and then play with it it works fine, until the next time i shut id down (which can be days). i have performed a factory reset without reinstalling all of my old applications, i have formatted my sd card, and i have checked all the applications that start on boot up, but none of them seam to be the issue (when there was nothing on the phone it still reacted this way)
any suggestions? should i contact htc? this is really annoying.
Before you do, you could try to root and check the logs for anything suspicious (logcat and kmesg). Also you could try to install custom ROM and see if the problem still exists.
If it doesn't help - you should contact HTC.

Factory reset with formatted card? Has to be something wrong with the phone.
Go to recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache, and try to boot phone again, often that helps.
tried wiping everything i can through recovery, yet my phone still freezes soon after start up. any chance htc will fix this? i dont want a refurb
Because when system has just booted up, it needs to check SD card and mounts all App2SD applications.
Try to boot your phone without SD and SIM card, see if it solves the issue.
tried removing sim and microsd and all th possible combinations.
it runs great without the microsd, so im guessing that was the issue. ill try another microsd to make sure its not a hardware/software bug related to sds in general but rather an issue with my specific microsd (which isnt the stock one).
thanks for the suggestion. i was very close to sending my phone in to htc (already had a ticket open and a fedex label)
that sounds good perhaps your SD card was corrupted. Connect it to your computer using a card reader, and do a disk check in Windows, see if it can fix any problem. Also try to degragment your SD card.

[Q] Having problems with my HD7

Hey guys!
I'm having some serious issues with my HD7... the other night I put it on my charger and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning my device was unresponsive, for one the alarms didn't go off on it. The charging indicator led was lit... I pushed the power button to wake it up and nothing happened (I thought ok, strange) I unplugged it from the charger, indicator light went off and still nothing, it was at this point that I noticed our cat chewed the crap out of the devices USB cable in the middle of the night. (Ugh!!) So I removed the battery and rebooted it and everything seemed fine. A little while later I went to use it and I pushed the power button to wake the screen and again not responsive, remove the battery and reboot and it seems fine. Later I was on it on XDA and I set it down for a min and it starts to go into sleep mode and freezes on a partially dark screen and none of the buttons work, power, volume up/down, camera or the soft keys, pull the battery and reboot its fine, this continues throughout the day so I did a hard reset and the problem still persists. So this continues on for 2 days, so I flashed back to stock rom and perform a hard reset before the first boot and i run stock for a day to see if this helps and unfortunately not it still has the problem. I'm back on DS v7.8 and have performed numerous hard resets now but I think there is a definite hardware issue from when the cat chewed on the cable while it was plugged in!
I have the insurance on the device and can make a claim but the chances of me getting a brand new one from Asurion are slim to none and will probably end up with a refurbished one and I would prefer to just keep mine!
So I'm turning to my great and knowledgeable friends here at XDA for any advice or suggestions on how to fix this problem.
Many thanks in advance!
you do understand that your v7.8 is a betta version and has a lot of bugs, right?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17735584&postcount=3
so try a mango rom and let me know!

I do understand that it's buggy and isn't the most stable rom... That's obviously a sacrifice with running a beta version!
As stated in the OP, I flashed my device back to a stock/shipped 7392 rom and ran that for a full day and a half. Then after my post yesterday I flashed back to 7720 Mango rom for a day now and still continue to experienced the exact same problems.
I was actually experiencing the problem before I ever flashed to DS v7.8... Just to clarify between flashing 7392, 7720, DS v7.78 and DS v7.8 the device experiences the issues evenly across the board... Unfortunately no one rom made it any better.
Thanks for the idea though!
I think I've just come to accept the fact that when the cat chewed the USB cable it caused some short circuitry which in turn caused some hardware damage.
After talking to Asurion earlier today, they have informed me that I'm not the first person to experience an issue with their device after a pet had chewed/damaged the USB cable while it was plugged in... They have had multiple claims for the same reason. I will be receiving my replacement device sometime tomorrow, well technically today now!
well, initially, my thought was a bad flash... but you reflashed.
so, my thoughts go to either battery or microSD card.
maybe try re-XSPL-ing.
if still same issue, would try another battery or microSD card.
honestly, though, unsure of a definitive solution.
regards.
I know this ones been a tough nut to crack... I've been racking my brain on it for a week now!
I've re-XSPL-ed twice now and have flashed it more times than I'd like to admit...lol
I have a backup battery and have tried that too with no success.
I haven't tried a different SD card yet - Good idea... It had crossed my mind but is such a pain in the "you know what" to unlock the SD card card and swap it out.
I am preparing for it though, I just downloaded Cab Sender and Storage Lock Cab. Guess I'll have to flash it again to a rom that supports Cab sender and since I'm getting my replacement device today, I need to unlock and remove my 32gb SD card anyway and that will give me the opportunity to try a different SD card in it and see how it performs.
I'm debating on whether or not to send mine back... I have 15 days to return mine after I receive the replacement, if I don't they only charge me $75 for it.. I didn't think that was bad at all and it's almost worth it to keep it for $75 and see if I can get it functioning like normal.
BTW Shadow... love your new avatar/forum pic!

only $75 for a new, refurb HD7? that is a steal!
they still for about $150 on eBay.
good luck on your venture and don't forget to report back.
and thanks.
This is the exact same issue I've been having with my HD7s. And I was running stock Mango since AT&T had never pushed any updates when this started. Since it started happening I tried the manual upgrades to 8107 and 8773 and it's still happening during the charge, and a few times it's locked when I didn't lock the screen and it was attempting to auto-lock. Anyone figure out if it is indeed hardware or if it's just something else happening?
So, I think I located the source of the crashes. After I've disabled WI-Fi for three days I haven't had a crash. Would upgrading to the Mango v2 drivers possibly fix this? It's not a huge issue to turn on Wi-Fi as needed, but it did work for months without me having to disable Wi-Fi to get a reliable phone.

Did you ever get your HD7 working properly and did you try the v2 drivers?
Here's the update for my device....
I flashed Dynamics 7 to my old HD7 and installed Storage Lock cab via cab sender, (which Storage lock ran very well on D7 and didn't cause any problems with the rom) unlocked the 32gb SD card I had in it and removed it from the device. I re-installed the original 16gb SD card (that I was locked out of completely) and put the device back together, booted the device, performed a hard reset and what do you know... the device unlocked and recognized the SD card.
I then flashed it back to stock 7392 rom and ran the device on it for the next 2 days and the problem still persisted. So I flashed it to stock 7720 Mango to see if maybe the Mango rom would help...no luck still having problems. So I came to the conclusion that a new SD card in the device was no gonna solve the issue. I Then downgraded the SPL and XSPL-ed the device and re-installed D7 and Storage Lock cab, unlocked the SD card and removed it from the device.
Now I had already received my replacement HD7 and all new accessories. I downgraded the SPL from 5.xxx to 3.xxx via the goldcard method. XSPL-ed the device and installed D7 and Storage Lock cab, unlocked the 16gb SD card in the device, removed it and then installed the 32gb SD card. Put it back together booted it, hard reset and the 32gb was acknowledged fine in the new replacement device. I then flashed Deepshining 7.8 to it.
Since I just removed my 16gb SD card from my new HD7 and the old one was still disassembled, I figure I'd give this SD card a try in it. I installed the 16gb to the old HD7 and put it back together, booted it, hard reset and the SD card was acknowledged just fine but the problem still persisted.
I though well for the cost of keeping the old HD7 it might be worth it, I inserted the SIM card in the device and it wouldn't work... Once you activate the new replacement device Asurion deactivates the old device, so that you can't use it or sell it to someone, so the device becomes useless other than WiFi. So I unlocked the 16gb SD card, removed it and the SIM card. Flashed the device back to stock Tmous rom, removed the battery and back cover plate. They only want the device and none of the accessories. I shipped off the old HD7 to them and have been enjoying my new device ever since... Plus I have 3 batteries, 2 - 16gb SD cards, 2 back battery cover plates, 2 USB wall adapters and 1 USB device cable now. Not bad for the cost!

Freezes and restart... Died. What is the problem?

Hi guys since yesterday I have problems with my phone
the phone suddenly freezes over without being able to interact.
it restarts on its own but without ever starting the operating system in fact it shuts down and does not turn on again as if the phone had died.
the really strange thing is that the phone was fine Then suddenly he started making this mess.
Yesterday after so many hours of problems I managed to start the phone and now it works well but I am afraid that the situation will repeat itself.
the phone has the bootloader unlocked has root permissions, I followed the guides on this site.
But I have had this phone for two months now and these problems never occurred.
where can i start to understand what the problem is?
Mine suddently become all white, with the interface cut in half and moved up. i could do nothing. nor reboot nor shutdown.
after some minutes it turned back normal. i hope its color os bug and realme will fix it
It appears to be a firmware problem. We hope well.
Today did not give problems. This behavior is really strange, what can I install to understand the root of the problem?
I noticed that if the phone never goes into deep sleep mode the problem does not occur.
Now I am registering the log and as soon as the problem occurs again I go into detail to find out the real reason.
I'm trying to create an automatic script that is launched on the boot that practically never makes the phone sleep.
i'm really desperate the phone started to reboot itself.
I would like to try using a system log recorder but I realized that when I restart the phone these logs are not saved so it is impossible for me to verify the reason.
Can any of you help me out?
the phone freezes and then restarts.
Did you achieve any solution ?
No. I'm disperate.
Why don't you flash stock fw /recovery? Just to make sure it isn't an Hardware problem ?
I try but have this problem

The problem appears only when you use data connection right?
If you try to switch off data and use wifi , you will not notice
The problem is because of the the operator, try another sim provider
Yes, in fact, that could be the problem because a few months ago removing the SIM card the phone did not give more problems
maybe you gave me the solution. I'll try

I am now testing the LINEAGE it happened to me this I removed the SIM card and I installed the costum Rom, I made the various customizations and the phone never locked OR restarted.
I inserted the SIM card in the phone worked perfectly, then having messed up with luckypatcher I had to reinstall the Rom.
So I performed the same procedure with the SIM card inserted in the phone and already at the first start it was unstable with reboots.
Currently I have applied for a change of sim card.
As soon as it arrives I will try to remove the sim card Install from scratch The system is to insert the new SIM card only so I can have the mathematical certainty that it is the SIM card
I hope my experience can help someone
This problem seems true, my X2 Pro also faced same issue when enabling cellular data. The phone sometimes loses the signal or the app freezes and perform a phone reboot. X2 Pro is a mid-range flagship phone, and yet this problem should be solved before they start to sell the phone.
Yes this device has many software problems but hardware problems of this kind are not acceptable.
Practically mine has become unusable, as soon as I turn it on after a few minutes of use it start closing the apps by itself.
Then after AN intende use of 30 minutes it start to restart.
This phone is truly incredible
