Rom upgrade for dummies

Please Help in upgrading a new ROM step by step

Help needed badly
my ROM v is 1.14.404.3 (22273) WWE and i want to upgrade to miri 6.5_21198_v5.2 but have no idea how to start i have zero knowledge about this, thats why i started this threat so that people like me can get some help.
could someone please help me with what i need and how to do the rom upgrade help....

i prefer to Upgrade Rom using windows xp activesnic
You must flash HardSPL first to be able to flash this ROM!

An alternative is USPL, it doesn't change your original SPL!

also i flash my fone before using HardSPL and it showed 100% but nothing happened? is there any video or images that can help me please

For all information on flashing, HardSPL, USPL as well as roms available why not check out the wiki? Thats what its for!!
There is also countless threads here regarding flashing, backing up, HardSPL etc etc etc

but he forgot to shoe that we need to drag the .nbh file in to the wrapper to flash the rom otherwise i will create a problem

please help, i've been trying to update a custom rom for my diamond, a uk no sim lock phone. i've been reading thur many many post and because their is so many related post im lost infact very lost.
I did a hardspl and now my phone is diam100 SPL-1.30. olinex
the rom im trying to use is this
[ROM][WWE][2009.04.10][LAST&FINAL UPDATE] "NATALY". UC Ready. Kitchen

not want to Offend you,please Develop a good habit,before post thread,search the forum for impossbile answers with keyword,read the Tutorial in the forum
First :go toTri-color screen to Ensure your touch hd is unlocked,if not you must unlock first
Second:if you want to use wm6.5,you must make your spl update to 1.56
Third:download the rom ,then use tools to flash the phone

Asking people to give you an opinion on the best ROMs is against forum rules. Not to be a stickler, but as it is peoples opinions, there are likely to be many different views as to which ROM is best. The best thing is to read this thread to be sure you have set up your phone correctly. You have 2 choices, either going the USPL or the HSPL route. You will see the pros and cons of each route in the thread.
I would also suggest reading the ROM threads in this forum where you will get a sense of how well the ROM is working ie any major bugs (or not) and then try a few of them yourself and see which one suits your needs best.

i still do not understand why opinionated posts are forbidden but anyway. until this thread gets closed, here is my opinion:
check out miri's rom because it has been very stable for a long time and a day after a new build is available you will get an updated rom.
just make sure that you also flash the latest radio rom.
prior to flashing make sure that you install hspl on your device.
for everything you need (hspl, radio, wm6.5 rom) there is a link in my signature.

How to return back to stock rom?

Hi All,
Sorry I think this info is on the WIKI but its down at the moment. Can someone tell me what I need to do to return my blackstone to stock?
I am sending it to a phone recyling cmpany and I dont want them to get funny about the custom roms etc
Currently I have the latest radio, 1.56 Olinex and Topix rom

[SOLVED] Help with upgrading

Hi, I would like to upgrade my phone to the latest ROM / Windows 6.5
My phone have:
SPL-1.54.0000
ROM version: 1.56.405.1 (43972) WWE
Can someone point me in right direction?
P.S. I'm new to this.

I would advice to upgrade to SPL 1.56+ and than flash one of the roms already cooked by the chef's. Use the method that they advice. usually its pretty straight forward. You unpack the zip/rar and find two files in. execute the exe while your blackstone is connected in active sync to your pc and follow the steps. you must have at least 50% battery. I use Energy roms v21916 which are the most stable ones in my opinion but thats for you to find out... gl

CAn you point me to post that descibes updating to SPL 1.56+? I managed to install coocked ROM on SPL 1.54 using USPL route but I'm guessing SPL 1.56 is newer / faster / better so it would be really useful to upgrade to this version. Can you tell me how I can do it?
