[REQ] Vibrate on Answer - Touch Pro, Fuze Themes and Apps

Rapheal/Fuze
Just moved to DA_G clean rom (wm 6.5), my favorite feature of the last iteration of my phone was that it vibrated when someone answered on an outgoing call.
Can someone please assist me with enabling the "vibrate on answer" feature of my phone using the stock windows dialer that comes with the phone or assist me in switching to a new dialer?

go to settings-personal-phone
once there, go to the last tab "advanced" and checl "VIBRATE DEVICE WHEN CONNECTION IS ESTABLISHED"
does that work?

i think my Fuze does this. It is a neat feature.

Because I am using the stock dialer I do not have an advanced tab.

What ROM are you using? I'm surprised you don't have that tab... I'm not using the stock ROM but I thought it was there with it and is in other ROMs I have used.

I think (don't quote me ok?) that what you want is START>SETTINGS>PERSONAL TAB>SOUNDS AND NOTIFICATIONS>NOTIFICATIONS TAB and use the pull down to message connect (connection established) (and any others that are annoying you) and uncheck "Display message on screen"
Let me know if that does not do what you want and I can do some more research.
Bill
thanks for the reply but there doesnt seem to be one that stops this popup. on the new diamond ROMS there is an option in the touch flo settings but my rom is based on TNT's 6.1 rom which i have cooked in my own program preferences.

On my system - I have V3.5Death installed currently - I can do the pulldown and on the connection established I can uncheck the display message option and I no longer have that display - actually - on the V3.5 DEath ROM I believe that this is set as the default - (I REALLY like the defaults on this guys ROM as they are VERY close to what I had mine set at before I install it.
Sorry that does not work - I would have been surprised if it did because I knew that you cooked ROMs yourself and that is higher on the learning curve than I currently am myself.
Good luck!
Bill
As you are using a cooked (and ported) Rom you need to ask your question in the thread for that Rom.
The answer provided works for WM 5.0 - 6.1 Rom that I've ever used.

No HTC Home settings tab after official 6.1 upgrade

Hi,
After upgrading my phone to the official 6.1 ROM, I no longer have the HTC home tab under Settings -> Today. I do have the plug-in enabled under 'Items', but am unable to configure anything.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
(searched quite a bit, but could find nothing related)

I have no problems with mine!
Did u flash from the OEM WM6 or a cooked ROM? If you were using a cooked ROM , see if changing back to your OEM SPL will assist.
I suggest u Hard reset and if that still does'nt work reflash with a freshly downloaded OEM ROM.
I have had no problems with my HTC WM 6.1 ROM at all.
The touch screen seems less responsive though.
I have noticed lags in 6.1 both using the on screen and the hardware keyboard. But that's actually nothing compared to an annoying "press OK to continue loading the contents of this page" and some other PIE-based troubles.

That settings tab is a feature of some cooked ROMs. Since you're using the official ROM, you won't see it.
HTC Home version 2.1.1005.722 has the settings/personal/today tab. Good luck finding it as a cab.

I am not using a cooked ROM. I'm using the official HTC downloadable update for the Kaiser, and I can enable the HTC Home under Settings/Today/Items . It doesn't have (doesn't need) any options. I also see the HTCHomeplug (quite useless, but works if I turn it on). I also have HTC Plus! , much better than the HTChomeplug, don't remember where I downloaded it from, worked on 6.0 and works perfectly under 6.1.
I'm using dutty's April 29th rom and i also dont have the settings, i dont want the weather icon.
There are third-party utilities that let you customize the HTC home. I have used one called HHC, very nice.
I have HTC Home Customizer but it makes my HTC home buttons look older. Currently i have the "bubble" looking onces, they are more transparent and round, if i use HHC it makes it go back to the old blocky buttons.

Just install this http://rapidshare.com/files/70344158/HTC.Home.v2.1.1005.722.Directory.Fix.Only.schen.cab.zip
And you'll have HTC Home tab in Today settings.
Thanks all; Karolis, that worked for me.
Pity it did not solve the real issue - iGO8 not working with HTC home running.
I was hoping disabling the weather/music tabs would help - but no such luck.
I the solution for the annoying "press ok to continue" problem. Using a registry editor, navigate to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main and make sure BlockStaticActiveX is set to zero.

Microsoft Voice Command V1.6.19971

I noticed that in the Diamond forum Dutty has embedded MSVC 1.6.19971 into his ROM.
Any ideas where I can find the installation CAB for this?

I'm using MSVC_US_PPC_1.6.19214 which is working fine. You can find this in one of the threads in Kaiser but I believe it was taken down for an unknown reason (the thread still exists but the first 5 message and topic title was deleted). The title was something like "The Definitive Guide to MSVC". You can still get it in google cache though

We removed the MSVC cab because it is a retail sold program, YES it was put into some official ROMs but after a LONG debate we decided to not allow it in cooked ROMs etc... just such a grey area we didnt want M$ finding another reason to have a go at xda-devs.
i had a feeling it will be taken out eventually, curiously though i was thinking why the guy was banned

Have you read post #3? MSVC is a retail sold program, if you want it please buy it.
Hey guys, on my fuze with the at&t rom, MSVC was included, now that i've upgraded to romeos rom and it's not included on his rom! i know that you guys are saying its a pay program, but i paid for it when i bought the fuze (as its included in the price).... and i really dont wanna pay for it again...
Does MSVC integrate and work with the fuze over bluetooth? I know that it needed several mods to work with both the 8525 and the Tilt.
Thanks
it worked perfectly with the at&t rom without any mods at all. and actually after i posted, i realized that i still had the copy that i had download from this site for my tilt. i installed it and it works perfectly once again

Does it announce incoming calls over the bluetooth headset? I can't get it to do that. My Tilt did it just fine and I have the Fuze VC set up exactly the same way as my Tilt, but all I get is my ringtone and no announcement.
Any ideas?

I'm sure this is a dumb question but did you double-check the settings? (Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Voice Command -> [Highlight Phone] -> Options -> Announce Incoming calls) and (Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Voice Command -> Notifications Button)

Yes. I wish it were that easy. As I said, all parameters are set up exactly like my Tilt which worked perfectly. With the Fuze, I only get my ringtone. Now, I know that the Fuze has a newer version of VC, so I may try to downgrade to the version that is on my Tilt.

I'm wondering the same thing. Stock Fuze had MSVC, and I flashed to the Elite ROM, and would like MSVC back. Is there any way to flash my Fuze back to stock rom, and pull the cab file out of it??
Unless you can tell me otherwise, the one that comes with the FUZE is defective. Partly... A few of us can't get it to say the incoming caller name or number. All you hear is a bell sound. I've gotten everything else to work like dialing from the headset, even where it says I have an appointment on my BT headset. Just for the announcement of whos calling doesnt work.
Do you have to have the handsset connect to juse VOice C`?
I pulled VC 1.6.19971 out of the AT&T Fuze ROM and included it in my personal ROM and I was able to enable "Announce incoming calls".
On my Nokia BH-501 headset, it begins to announce the call, but gets cut off by the built in headset ringtone. (I only use this stereo headset for music)
On my Oakley Razrwire it works just fine. With 'announce' turned off, the headset uses it's normal built-in ringtone. With 'announce' turned on, I get the VM announcement with my WM ringtone playing in the background (it opens an audio stream from the phone). I use this headset while driving, so it's all good.
Well well... depends on your MSVC-version. 1.6.4622 DOES NOT announce any incoming call regardless of the setting.
1.6.17913 does, 19209, 19213, 19214 does...
By the way: the ultimate FAQ was named The Definitive Guide for Microsoft Voice Command - I posted a backup in another thread.
anyhow, does anyone know the advantages of 1.6.19971 ? Does it report anonymous callers correctly (which none of the above does?)
And why is it that anyone wants to use newer versions without even knowing changes? Maybe it's a beta version, maybe it's buggy... but it's a newer release... using legal german retail (bought it) .4622 with 19209 exe for announcing reasons. Works brilliant on raphael.
But maybe someone knows a list of changes or fixes, advantages or disadvantages in 19971?

Vibrate to Connect in 6.5

is it possible to make your phone vibrate on call connect while using the windows default keypad?
i know if i enable the diamond keypad it works.
and also the program "Vibrate On Connect" does not work with the Touch Pro.
I am told it cannot work without the diamond phonepad.
So i'm wondering if anyone can enable it through a .cab file on a non-htc customized 6.5 rom
Have You tried this?
Try Start>Settings>Personal Tab>Phone>Scroll all the way to the right until you see the Advanced tab>Remove the tick from "Vibrate device when connection is established">Click OK until you see your home screen.

That tab doesn't exist in WM6.5 with the default dialer.
The only way I know of is to use s2u2 and set it to answer calls and it has an option to vibrate on connect, but I honestly don't use it because I like the built-in lock app in 6.5.

How do you switch between the Diamond dialer and the Windows default dialer? I can only see the Diamond dialer. If I knew how to switch I would look into it to help you.

Uh, thats that ROM Im already an using.
that option is there because i used Da_G's kitchen and installed the htc dialer because i thought i would like it, however the 6.5 dialer i like better so i used advanced config to switch back.
and yes i like the 6.5 lock much better as well so s2u2 is not an option.
also i downloaded some kind of green button app or something called vibrate which automatically starts when i boot up however never installed, just ran as a .exe and it does what i want- almost- it vibe's on connect however it is a little late and the vibration is too much and not subtle like the htc diamon dialpad one- if anyone can get the vibrate on connect feature from the diamond dialer it would be apprieciated- also how can i stop this new vibrate.exe from running?
Try this and hope you got the fix.
HKLM\Software\HTC\PHONE\PhoneExtendSetting
"ConnectingVibration" set value to 1 to Enable
0 to Disable in Decimal

didnt notice the word "htc" in that registry key? thats for the diamond dialer. does it not work if you install htc dialer and disable it (switch back to standard wm dialer) using something like diamond tweak? or does the tab with the vibrate option disappear with it?

To return to WM dialer
HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin
set (Enabled) to 0
soft reset
I used Advanced Config v3.3 to revert to the WM 6.5 dialer (which I actually like a lot more than I thought I would), but I also lost the vibrate functionality, which I really enjoy, since where I work my signal fluctuates a lot, and even though I'll show good service on Sprint, it often won't connect, and I'll just hold it in my hand, or put it down on the table and wait for it to actually go to "connected" when I hear/feel the vibrate.
When I go into the Phone options Advanced tab I still have the option to "Vibrate on Connect", but it doesn't work, either checked, or unchecked.
Anyone able to get their phone to vibrate on connect using the WM6.5 dialer?
This isn't a dealbreaker for me, or anything, as I prefer the speedier WM dialer over the delayed HTC dialer (especially when the unit is locked), but it would be nice to get it back.
Vibration on connect
vibration on connect and Slide unlock bugs existent in all cooked ROMs in this forum. I trial all ROMs and found it. If you know the resolves please post it here. thanks
i have the same problem and i would like to know how to fix it ..
thanks all
-Did you try using "Pocket Shield"?, i use it with Da_G 6.5 rom too.
-It's a locking program with amazing options to lock/unlock your device (with light, stylus, slide, gestures)
-AND has the option to vibrate when call connected and is as subtle as de touch pro/diamond dialer. Just a short vibration after the call is engaged.
-Works great for me...
-IT IS NOT FREEWARE though... googleeeeeeee

Anybody any idea what this is? http://www.htc.com/europe/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=250&cat=0&dl_id=674
I've been having the problem that all incoming calls are unknown, no number recognition at all. Happens to both original as cooked ROM's.

To get rid off problem with that 'hotfix' hard reset is needed.
