I have a cheapo pair of BT Headphones that just showed up in the mail today. They pair fine with my Nokia N95, but my G1 is having trouble. Is there any way I can pair a BT item, but enter the passcode manually? Thats what i did on my n95 and it was fine.

Make sure your BT device is turned off, Reboot your phone just to be safe then turn on BT on your phone after that now turn your BT device back on and you should get a pop up asking for the code which is usually 0000.

Hello!
I own a Athena with Wm6 and bought a LG style-I and it really worked ok.
Yesterday, just bought the Jabra bt-8010 for car and music and it works ok either.
the problem is that i've paired both of them, LG for headset and Jabra for headset and wireless stereo.
The thing is that when both are connected, I cant make either to work at all.
can't I have both paired as headset and pick up a call or dial from which i need at the moment?
sometimes I prefer the remote, others the headset... I dont want to have to power off one to use another and neither unpair one to work with another!!
How do you deal with this situation?
thanks
newbie
It is impossible to have both baired as hands free for phone calls.
You have to choose one as the phone can not accept two connections to two hedset the same time.
However, you should be able to pair the LG as handsfree for phone calls and the Jabra as stereo headset for music ...
How do you guys do?
Is there any way that I create a shortcut in today (with Ilauncher, SPB Pocket PLus or another) to simply switch between them?
Or.. With phone alarm, depending which profile I'm using, choose the headset I'll use with phonecalls.
What I mean is, for profile home and work use the style-i for car use the Jabra.
And listening to music, of course use always Jabra...
See you

the easiest way to proceed is to have your bluetooth switched on on your HTC. You turn on you Jabra, and a single brief click on the multifucntion button will connect the Jabra to your HTC. The same with LG, you turn it on and a single brief click on the multifucntion button will connect it ot the HTC.
But keep in mind that if one of the two is already connected, you have to switch it off to be able to connect the second one.
so to resume, you HTC bluetooth is on.
At home and work you turn on the LG and a brief click on the multifunction button and it's connected to the HTC.
In your car, you switch off the LG and switch on the Jabra, a brief click on the multifunction button and it's connected to the HTC.
hope this will help you
I've got an annoying problem with Bluetooth on my Kaiser. I'm currently using Motorola S9 headphones, I paired them with Kaiser for the first time and everything was working perfectly but whenever I turn Bluetooth on my phone off or pair the headphones to another device I cannot connect to tytn again. I have to delete partnership with headphones on TYTNII and then pair them again to be able to use the headphones. Everything is all right when I turn off the headphones and then turn them on again...connection is established automatically. The problem occurs only when Bluetooth on tytn was turned off or the headphones were used with another device. Is there a solution to this problem?
I've had some BT connecton problems too. I have the SonyDR-BT21Gs and if I pair them with something else, the only way I can get them to connect again is to initiate a phone call. Not sure why, but once the Hands Free protocol connects, the Wireless Stereo protocol also starts working. May or may not help you, though. FWIW, I also have the S9s and have had no problems with them, but I use them only with the phone while working out, so they may fall suffer under the same scenario as I described for the Sonys
Hi folks,
I've successfully paired the Kaiser with a Blaupunkt car stereo, but my issue is that if I want to use it as a Bluetooth stereo, I have to delete the coupling and re-pair it every time I get into the car. Is there any way around this?
Cheers.
I have this problem with my Motorola Ht820 Headphones. I found that a solution for me is to leave my bluetooth ON. It must delete the settings when you turn bluetooth off or something.
Give it a go and let us know if that works. I know it's not the best way round it, but I've come to terms with it owning a Kaiser
EDIT: I think you can even turn off the phone, as long as you leave your Bluetooth ON, your Kaiser should re-sync OK without haveing to Re-pair.

As far as I can tell, the basic 'hands free' function is maintained when I reset either the phone or the car stereo, but the 'wireless stereo' function does not. This means that it activates when I make/receive a call, but not when I launch TomTom or Audio Manager. It's pretty inconvenient, eh?

Strange.... My Motorola headset retains it's wireless stereo function, as long as I keep bluetooth turned on...
Go into the bluetooth settings, do a right click (long hold tap), and "make this my wireless stereo" or something like that. Works everytime for me with my car stereo.
I have managed to successfully connect the HTC to my kenwood car phone (which I believe is a parrot hands free kit). The problem is that whenever I get into the car and the unit starts, the HTC does NOT automatically connect to the Kenwood.
I have to manually initiate teh connection by going into the bluetooth settings on the phone and tapping on the kenwood device. On my nokia handset, once a device is set to authorised it connects automatically the moment it's in range. Is this feature available on the HTC?
Connects automatically to my Jabra hands free car speaker..
No problems here
Although, it does say in the bluetooth menu ' To connect - tap on device name '
hmmm
I`m having a problem with my Honda Accord handsfree system. The phone connects automatically but when someone calls me the system reacts and I can press the answer button but I can`t hear the person at the other end and he/she can`t hear me. Like you I didn`t have a problem with my Nokia. But mine does connect automatically just can`t hear anyone, must be a compatibility problem.
I've got a cheap headset from dealextreme.com. The pairing should be fairly easy (hold a button until the headset flashes red and blue, and search for bluetooth devices using the phone).
I do so, and Diamond finds the headset. I connect, but Diamond never asks for a passcode.
The result is that the pairing between the headset and Diamond is lost every time I turn of the headset (which makes it practically worthless).
I tried pairing it with my laptop. The laptop ask for a passcode, I enter "0000" as told in the manual. The pairing stays even if I turn the headset off and on again.
Is there a "trick" to be done? I thought I had paired enough bluetooth devices over the years, but this was new to me...
winmobile automaticly tries the "standard" bt-headset passcodes like 1234, 1111 and a few others. if they fail you will be asked to enter one yourself. it's weird that it fails. have you done a complete reset of the headset?
I would, if I only could figure out how to do that...
The manual in "engrish" does not tell me how to, allthough it's listed as a step in the "Failure guide".
My headset pairs as yours does, automatically, as 0000 is the passcode.
If I turn off my headset and turn it back on again, it doesn't appear to pair back but if you make a call or receive one, it pairs straight away then puts the call through.
Have you tried any calls after turning off headset then on again?
My jabra headset resets if you press all buttons at once for a few seconds, but i guess you've already tried that.. same moskus as in the hw.no and smartmobil forums?
Yes, I've tried to make a phonecall after a "reboot". However, it's like Diamond doesn't know that the headset is even turned on.
me too!jabra bt500
