Hi,
my Mteor is not playing mp3 anymore!!!!
Every time I've tried to play one mp3 song I'll received this error
"An Unknown error happened 0x80070002"
I believed that all is happened after have installed Pocket Music Player... If I'll reinstall PMP the mp3 "in that programs" runs smoothly, but mp3's not working anymore as ringtones
Help me please!!!!
thx
Make sure your ringtones are in My Docs on either your main mem or storage card. Obviously, worst case you can do Clear Storage. You should be using The Core Media Player, IMO.
When I play songs in HTC Audio Manager (and using htc today audio plugin with it), it takes about 2045k. When I play the same songs in Windows Media (and using htc today audio plugin with it), it takes about 22000k. About 10 times more
Why?
to my knowledge/experience, windows media player caches the whole song (i may be wrong) and so dumps the whole song into the memory using up a fair amount, also Windows Media Player is generally a memory hungry program, HTC have coded the audio manager a little better and using sensible cahce sizes
currently mines using 14mb playing a 4.5mb mp3, changing it to a 40 second WAV file dropped the memory used to 11Mb
hope that helps a little
I had installed a great music player on my Tilt, PocketMusic. It takes 2mb of ram to run vs the standard OEM WMPlayer which consumes at least 34MB ram. It has many features and will also play most audio file types. You can also play streaming music from shoutcast and other similar sites as a replacement player for winamp. The best part is that it is a freeware.
When playing music and perhaps wanted to run iGo8 Nav, using the standard OEM or HTCPlayer the Kaiser will freeze or at best bogs. You not only are able to play music and get Nav guidance, you are able to receive phone calls as well using PocketMusic.
It gets my A1 approval.
http://www.pocketmind.com/pocketmusic.htm
it has not suport cover art and do not suport propietary htc hendset whith "next", "previous" e.t.c
The new PocketPlayer is awesome for sound quality and usability....
Have always used PocketPlayer and can guarantee anyone that trys it will stick
It's not free but worth it....

Thanks a lot but I am facing really bad lag with it. It works in slow mo
coreplayer ?
Tried Core Pocket Media Player it just crashes
Tried the updated version available here on xda. It plays most of the stuff but with a lag. A bad lag.
tried lowering the resolution of the media you are trying to play?
Nope just placed 3 files(avi, mkv and mp4) in my internal storage to test them. They are regular music video files I play on my pc
I'm using Coreplayer 1.3.5 (latest if 1.3.6). I can play a full size 700mb xvid using coreplayer and dont get any lag or freezes, unless i get a sms or call at which point it lags for a few seconds then goes back to normal.
I've had Perception 10.1 on my phone for quite a while now, and overall I like it (that's why its been on my phone for months and months now). But yesterday I got some voicemails that I downloaded from Gmail and they were saved as mp3 format files. The built in music player refuses to play them. It just gives me the message that the music player doesnt support that file format. I thought this was completely strange. So I put a couple of music mp3's on the sd card, and the built in music player wont play those either. Does anybody have a solution to this? What music player wouldnt play mp3's, thats crazy?? I know for a fact that the music player that was in an earlier version of Cog that I was running played music mp3's.
I'm thinking the best solution would be to get a different stock music player apk and then use adb to push it to the phone?
