hello! I just bought a memory card, SD for my Hp pocket pc. 4gb. my phone can't read the memory card. I think it's too large. what can I do? a smaller one was ok. help please! what can I do?
Your card probably has a SC on it and these phones can't handle SC. I have a 4Gb card that isn't SC and it works fine.
try 4GB SD card not SDHC card.

My SD card (Transcend) goes 'missing' once in a while. and the files seems to get corrupt even when I am copying on my WinXP PC (using an SD card reader).
Searching the web I found this Panasonic SD card formatter which claims to format your SD card to be more 'SD compliant' compared to a windows format. http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/sd/download/sd_formatter.html
Eager to solve my SD problem, I went a head and download this software and perform a format on my SD card. To my horror, after formating, my SD card is only recognized as 1Gb!! Maybe it's only meant to format certain SD card brands, clearly mine is not the case.
If anyone is having this problem, you can download this software to fix your 2Gb SD Card back http://www.ritekusa.com/jsp/SD_Cards_Download.jsp
It does fix my SD card and give me back 2Gb of space. Hopefully after formating it with Pocket Mechanic will make it more compatible with my Dopod D810 and not make my files go corrupt.
Help,
After i flashed my KAISER i have a problem. The sd card is not recognised anymore. Is there a solution for this problem?
I hope so, otherwise i have a brick
Storage card problem
I always used a 4 gig card, just tried an 512 mb card, and that one was recognised. Strange isn't it?
First, which method did you use to flash your new ROM?
If you used the USB method to flash your new ROM, did you remove your SD card during the flash process?
If you used the SD card method to flash your new ROM, did you do a hard reset with your SD card inserted?
Second, do you have an SD card reader for your computer? I would probably try to verify that the file system and data are intact on your SD card. If you have an SD card reader, you can also use it to reformat your card.
If none of this is helpful, provide some more information to fill in the gap between your microSD card working properly and not showing up on your phone.
Re
I flashed to TPCV5.1 full today. No sd in my phone.
My cars reader in the computer doesn't recognise the sd card either.
Strange thing is , when i use an other 4 gig sd card, the phone still doesn't recognise it, my card reader on my computer does, so why not on my phone.
I had a 2 gig sd card, and put all the data again on it, and it's working.
Stilli have a problem that my phone won't recognise a 4 gig sd card.
So far my story.
Does seem odd. What file system is your 4GB card formatted with? If it shows up as "RAW" or anything, I would definately format it to FAT32.
Edit: I was referring to your "other" 4GB card. I don't think I have any advice for the original one.

I have the exact same problem, my 16GB Class 10 is not showing up on my phone, the memory card is formatted on FAT32, does it need to be formatted on to something different?
After formatting my SD card on my phone AND on my laptop it now works
i read about microsd class 4 somewhere in xda optimus 2x forum is problem in this phone.

for class 10 i don't have problem. i use 32gb class 10 and it's directly show up on the phone. do you shutdown your phone first when mounting the microsd?
I have bought Sandisk microSDXC 64GB class 10 UHS1. When I put it in my computer using USB2.0 Kingston Mobile Reader it could not recognise it. I removed it and I placed it in my Galaxy Note. I went into clockworkmod 6.19 (Non Touch) and I partitioned the card with 2GB or 4GB (I do not remember exactly!!!) and Swap size 256k. When my phone restarted, the phone did not recognize the card. Therefore, I went through the internet to find a solution. I found the program "EaseUS Partition Master 9.1.1 Home Edition" and reformatted the card with FAT32 and cluster size 32KB. When it finally finished, it gave me the size 27.46GB!! I reformatted through SD Formatter 3.0 hoping that the partition used through Clockworkmod messed up the actual size of the card. I successfully re-formatted the card, however the size remained the same. I know that the size of a microSDHC card 32GB is around 29GB, therefore it does not explain size 27.46GB.
My question now, if there is an answer!!! Is the card faulty or did Clockworkmod messed with the card?
Please advise if possible!
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this, because I think this a very strange story!
Wrong section.
Have you tried formatting the card with your phone?
Settings > Storage (Scroll to the bottom)
Make sure to pick the correct one.

How sure you are that your Kingston reader is SDXC compatible? If it's not, it can be that your card is damaged now and can't be fixed (I had that issue). Second thing you should have format the card using some exFAT compatible ROM (for example XLS7 or XLSA) in storage section of the phone, not in CWM.
You should also check if there isn't any other partitions on the card using EaseUS Partition Master. I would delete all partitions on the card and then format using exFAT. But it would work only if the card isn't already damaged by incompatible reader.
If you search abit you will find that sdxc cards used with sdhc reader can be damaged. google it you will find it.

Format it with the phone. That usually gets it.
OK so I checked with my local O2 store and they confirmed my Xperia Z will accept a 64GB Micro SD Card, so I bought one - transferred all the dats off the 32GB Micro SD Card onto the 64GB card with no problems, I insert the 64GB card into the Xperia Z - I check under the storage tab and it shows 24.5GB of the new SD Card has been usd but, the inbuilt walkman and PowerAmp refuse to play any of the files - they all play perfectly from the 32GB card but nothing plays off the 64GB card ........... is there something I'm doing wrong?
You might need to format your sdcard with exfat.

That made things worse! Most of the files have vanished from the card - it just shows 4GB have been used and not the 25GB loaded onto the card.
Ok it's now sorted, had to format exFAT to FAT32, maybe that's what I was told to do? If yes then I apologise! I used this tool to foomat exFAT to FAT 32 : Hmmmm seems I can't post links yet, so the tool is titles "HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool 2.2.3", it's completely free, run as Admin.
Maybe it'll help somebody else out.
only new version support exFAT, otherwise use FAT32 format.
In the usermanual is written "Sd Card usable up to 32GB" --> sdhc is supportet and NOT sdxc.
