All experts,
Please help me for my (P3600i - IPL-Trin100, SPL-3.00.708.9, CPU-Samsung 500Mhz, 256MB flash ROM and 64MB RAM) that I flashed successfully with hardSPL 3.10 Oplira.
However after completed the [P3600i] Mary v3.7 - SuperLite from WM6.0 to WM6.1 upgraded, I found that there is only 50MB flash ROM left on my rom, It missed about 200MB flash ROM and 64MB RAM remained.
So I tried to flash back WM6.0 but it is same as 50MB flash ROM left and 64MB RAM.
Can anyone help me how to recover 200MB flash ROM?
I have seen lots forum regarding this case for a couple day but found nothing.
Best regards

Did anybody having trouble with unlocking ExtendedROM after downgrading from WM5 ?
Il have problem with unlocking after downgrading to WM 2003 SE again
I got error message
THX
The ext ROM should not re-lock after upgrade / downgrade as the security code is changed and there is no way to re-lock it! Are you sure you re-configured your memory back to a 16MB area for ext rom before you downgraded?
I can't understand that - after I downgraded I can't see the Ext.Rom. I run the unlocker and unhider but still couldn't see it to load all the ol' ext.rom files in it.
As I said - did you resize the ext rom in WM5 before downgrading?
Not sure if it will work but try using the Repart tool under WM2003SE to reduce the size to give you back an ext rom (See the Wiki for downgrading)
I read the whole Wiki and even translated it into german for our german WM5 buddy's. I resized it AFTER the downgrade how it's been explained on the wiki.
I mean it's not a "Heeeelp" - because I installed the O2 GER CAB manually, I just wanted to know this.
You can downgrade to 2003SE and then using the partition tool create a new ext rom with 16384 kb which will you back your Ext rom. I hope this helps.
Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I am having the exact same problem. Followed the wiki to a T to downgrade from WM5, and all went well until I went to apply the extrom. Running the repart_doc tool it ran with success, but upon a soft reboot the extended_rom folder is not present. Any ideas?
Figured it out - extended rom was hidden. Grabbed a utility from xda-dev to unhide it and voila, it worked.
For anyone that cares, the newest t-mobile rom w/cooked ext works great on my M2000...
Anybody knows why my storage(not storage card/ramdisk32) memory suddenly getting less and less evertime i checked?it happened after i'm using Logout's latest wm5 rom(which run smoothly and stable actually) ...so it's like storage mem was 16.1 mb and 15 minutes after that it's only 15.8 mb...and then a couple hours after that i checked it again it's only 13.2 mb!!!
anybody has the same problem like me after i installed this ROM?...i don't know if it's software bugs or ROM bugs?...FYI i'm not installed anything new other than "regular appz" like spbs, ilouncher, wisbar, pocket music,sk tools,memaid,ringo,etc...i've installed those in my prev WM2003SE and it had no problem,so?

help pls!!!
Last wek i uprgaded my BA PDA2k from 2003SE-WM5 w/ ivan's ROM, evrything works well, i even uprgaded the radio stack to 1.15. 2days back i tried to install the 32MB Ramdisk & it slows d device performance so i decided to removed it, but still its getting slows & d RAMDISK storage allocation in the memory cannot be erased, even with soft & hard reset.
So i experiremeted something which i think causes the ROM to crushed..i run again d unlock-unhide & repart DOC...after that iam stuck to boot screen. I think the entended rom was ben affected..
Please anyone help... :? :? :?

Sounds stupid, but...
Just enter boot mode by resetting and pressing the record key.. Then reflash the device.. that should work.. make sure you follow the instructions for resetting exactly, including the format storage part

Hi, I just got my touch diamond from vodafone UK.
Before I flashed my diamond, the Device Information of it told me that I had 192m ram. But after I flash the Hong Kong Official WWE ROM - 1.93.831.1 WWE 52.29.25.12H_1.00.25.05, it became 128m!!! How would it be?
Does anyone know what is going on with my diamond? Thanks in advance.
However, by clicking on Setting and Memory, it showed Program: Total: 113.08 MB , the same as other 192m diamonds in the forum.
Flashed again with the NEW SWIFTBL WWE DIAMOND ROM V3.2 - CE OS 5.2.19965 (BUILD 19965.1.2.3).
Still 128mb ram in Device Information!!!
How could the vodafone rom get 192mb?
Also I install tomtom 7 from this foum. But it did not work and said not enough memory.
Anybody helps?
Thanks.
yeah, that is strange. i got a diamond with vodafone SFR in france. even it shows in device information 192M, but in settings/memory. it shows 111mb.
after i flashed the same rom than you, it shows in device information about 128M, and in settings/memory, it still shows 111mb.
i don't understand, so i GUESS the vodafone version is 128M
does someone have any other comments?
If you guys used the search you could see that when you type 192mb the first hit takes you to the topic where this is discussed.

The problem here is that the amount of ram showed in the device information changed after rom flashing(from 192mb to 128mb). Maybe there is different reasonfor that.

Help needed.
i would guess that the rom you flashed was from the htc victor (the taiwan release of the diamond). that device has only 128mb of ram, it is sorta low budget. just flash another one.

Install TT on the phone storage, not the internal storage. I had the same problem, not sure why it does that though.
TT problem solved. Original problem caused by incorrect map install.
Also I disabled phone skin, got extra memory.

Thank you for your advice. But it didnot work for me.
Problem solved
This problem happened to me after installing Dutty's rom v1.4. However regardless which rom I installed afterwards, I was unable to get device info to show 192mb ram. This morning I realized that the only thing I haven't tried was to reinstall the original SPL. Today I did install the Stock spl 1.37 posted by CMONEX posted on thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400411&page=2 post #20
Immediatly problem was solved and I again could see 192mb ram on device info.
I do hope this helps other people
i need know what rom from my device (192mb). thanks
dear All,
im having a little problem maybe because i did some thing wrong ? dont know
my Touch diamond start became slow and use more RAM ,
thats happen after i did install the original HTC ROM twice ,
1-first time was when i installed too many application and thought it will be
better and faster if i re installed clean original Rom ,and it did work
2-second time was when i tried to install cooked ROM and didnt work ,so
i re installed the original HTC ,its working fine but not like before
at start up soft reset the RAM is : 57-58 % and come to 70 % easly
but before it was 54-55 % start up and max it reach 65 %
-the ROM i used :
RUU_Diamond_HTC_ARA_2.03.415.2_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship
is there anyway to clean my diamond and is it right to install ROM many times ?
when i install and do fresh ROM ,it will delete all the old rom files or not ? is there any files or data will remain in ROM ?
waiting your feedback , thanks in advance
Whenever you install a new ROM it automatically deletes everything on the Main Storage, but you could also have a go at MTTY. When using the "task 29" command it actually formats your Main Storage so there will be no leftover files.
As for how many times you can flash your Diamond, well I have probably flashed mine about 100 times in the past 6 weeks.
thanks Dom
thank you so much , you are the only one who replyed
The amount of RAM free for use is determined by the ROM, so if you want more RAM, installed a 'Clean' ROM. this will mean that some programs wont be available, but you can always install what you need.
My diamond is 18 months old, i'd hate to think how many times its been flashed i've just ordered a new chassis and case to keep it going
Could also try this rom
VERY LIGHT

Have you hard reset after flashing a new ROM??
U can reserve your RAM using clean RAM or RAM Sweeper
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=514333
Its necessary to install ROM many times.dont forget to HSPL first..
When you instal new ROM and hard reset after that, the old ROM must be deleted.
Hope it help you.
