Cache Clearing - Hero, G2 Touch Themes and Apps

Hi,
Anyone used any apps to clear application caches on the Hero?
Thanks
Phil

I don't think that you need any app , just go to setting , application , manage apps , now find the app that you are looking for , then enter and press on clear cache.

Yes I know that, point is it takes ages to do each app manually.
Be good to have an app to clear a selection automatically

Yes there is a TA Utility, you can download it from the market.

And if you don't want root your Hero; any alternatives?

[Q] Missing apps from download section

Hi all.
Since I installed K7 kernel by hardcore (great job by the way), I seem to have lost the list of installed apps when I go to the download section in the Market app. I only have about three rather than 14 apps.
Is there a way to restore them or another way to view if these apps need update?
Thanks.
Do you use titanium backup? You can use that to reset market links.
Otherwise, try clearing your market cache in settings->Applications -> Manage applications

Thanks! Clearing the data solved the problem. Do you know why it happened in the first place?
p.s. - I don't use titanium backup.

[Q] Any way to clear Market Cache on 2.1?

I tried to manage applications in NookColor Tools but the market doesn't show up as an option. Do I have to have Froyo to clear the cache? I updated to the new market but am still not seeing the apps I should be even after updating the build.prop. I know the next step is to clear the market cache but I don't see how to do so in 2.1. This is an autonooter install. If I need to switch to Froyo I certainly can. Thanks!
I don't use it, but I think Titanium Backup has options for managing applications - including clear cache.

Nice. It's been so long since I've really used Eclair that I forgot about that filter option. Thanks!

Is the ambient display not working properly for anyone else?

At night, the phone's screen will turn on when it receives a notification, then never turn off. It also doesn't always show the black and white "ambient display" notification screen all of the time. Texts and emails will still show the regular one that I'm used to with other phones. Is there any way to make it work properly?
Try to wipe cache only, in recovery if necessary. Worked for some.

How do I do that?
Does anyone know how to wipe the cache like the guy above suggested?

Are those instructions only for the OP3? I'm using an OP3T and they don't work for me. I don't see any option to wipe cache partition.
EDIT: I went into recovery mode and wiped the cache. I hope this works.
Go to settings then apps then find your app. Click storage and you will see the option to wipe cache.

I don't know which app could be causing this, so I just went into recovery mode and wiped the phone's entire cache that way. I'm hoping this solves it because I REALLY don't want to have to do a factory reset. I had to manually download all of my apps when I switched phones.
You can clear the systems app from apps in settings but I don't know if that will fix it. Clearing the phone from recovery shouldn't delete your apps but will Probably clear your logins and passwords for different apps

Doing a factory reset will delete everything, including apps. That's what I'm trying to avoid. Like I said, I don't know which app is the culprit here.

clearing the cache (pie)

In Oreo you could click on storage and clean the cache but that seems to have been removed in Pie. Is there a way to do it? I found that clearing the cache on a regular basis improved my device battery life.

Not sure what the difference between the two options entail. The second one just sounds like everything would stop working.
