I am currently having issues connecting to the internet. I am running the old 8125 (cingular) is there possibly a firmware I need to update?
How would I check?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
What is the exact problem? Can you connect to the internet but does it disconnect. You can't get a connection at all?

I finally found the HTC Wizard config cab.
It seems that AT&T is upgrading the local towers, and this file managed to solve my connection issues.
Thanks for all of your help.

I cannot access any webpages using my tilt I only get the message "cannot connect with current connection settings" no matter what webpage. What exactly am I to change the settings to? I'm using a Linksys Speedboost with WPA2 security. The Tilt is picking up my network so I hit connect. When I look under Settings/Connection/Wifi I see my network but its just says "connecting" all the time. Shouldn't it say "connected"? Then I checked the Wireless LAN I see me network and the signal strength is full. What gives? I've disabled all the ATT data connections with the NoData program. I've also cleared all history and done a soft reset. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I presume you have tried removing from and adding the network to your Kaiser. And I presume you have rebooted your Kaiser and router without any effect?
Were you able to connect to other networks in the past? Have you changed any settings recently that might have caused the problem (by accident)? Have you tried the different power modes?
The problem might not be your Kaiser; it wouldn't be the first time it had something to do with the router itself.
Have you upgraded your router with the latest firmware? Is MAC-filter security enabled?
Just thinking...
Yes I've tried removing and letting the phone find the network again to no avail. I'll try again when I get home. The phone and router have both been rebooted also to no avail. I've never been able to connect. Just got the phone late last week. Not familiar with changing power modes so I haven't tried that. The router does have the latest firmware. I've see a few other networks besides mine listed. Several of them said unavailable and I'm not sure what that means.
Well deleted all the networks to let the phone fin them again. Now it says connected but still will not bring up any web pages.
Sorry to say, but I have no direct solution to your problem. So let's troubleshoot your problem.
Download and run VxUtil. The tool can be found here:
ftp://ftp.cam.com/cambridge/win/vxUtil.zip
Open the .zip file and install "vxUtil.ppc3_arm.CAB" to your Kaiser. Leave the rest of the cabs.
Try to ping your router, other computers on the network and internet sites. See what the results are and if there is a difference between LAN and WAN adresses.
If you own a Tilt, you could also try to remove the hidden proxy. Fix it by installing the folowing .cab found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=71206&d=1203325282
If it wouldn't help, you can restore the proxy here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=71207&d=1203325282
Have you already tried another brower? Like Opera mini? Find it here:
http://www.operamini.com/
Or you could try the 'full' version found here:

Let's hope you find the solution or at least a lead.
Whenever I sync up my diamond with my laptop, I lose wireless connection on my laptop to my wireless router. Then when I disconnect my diamond, my laptop wont reconnect to my wireless network. It the takes a few hours and a couple of resets on both laptop and router before I can reconnect. Can anybody help? I have no idea how to stop this.
many thanks in advance
Adam
I'd say that you need to change the order that the computer chooses from the connections when it connects to internet.
I think that default is that it uses any cableconnection before the wireless..
Try that and see if it sorts it our for you
Thanks, any ideas how i do that?

In windows xp professional got to Network Connections->advanced->advanced settings... and make sure that the wireless connection is at the top.
Thanks very much. I will try this later when I get in from work.
you're welcome!
tell me if it doesn't work and i'll try another way to figure it out..
I've just upgraded to a Linksys WRT160N router. Now my Tilt can see and connect to the Internet, but CANNOT connect to any of my PCs through the wireless. Never had this problem with my old router.
When I try to access my PCs it gives a 'Cannot Connect' window with the following message: 'Cannot connect with current connection settings. To change your connection settings, tap Settings.'
Now, I have tried changing everything I could think of in the networking settings, and now I've even hard reset my Tilt. With a clean setup, nothing added to the Tilt, (running the new Official AT&T ROM, BTW) I still get the same response from the Tilt.
Is there a major compatibility problem with the Tilt and WRT160N that I don't know of, or a setting I'm overlooking?
Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
I've also searched in Google for this problem and have had no results.
On my Kaiser (UK Vodaphone branded, with stock HTC WM6.1 ROM/Radio) I am having some problems using the internet, both through the phone and on my laptop via internet sharing.
I am able to use the internet/internet sharing for one session (one connection and disconnection of GPRS for lack of a better description), before it will stop working. The GPRS will still connect, but I cannot get any data transfer to happen unless I do a soft reset. The internet/internet sharing will then work again for one session.
Obviously this is frustrating. Does anyone have a fix, or know what is happening?
