Ok let me tell you if u have the same problem than do as the steps..
i had this problem after googling long time i found this solution ..
1st check ur hboot 0.33 or 0.35??
my hboot is 0.35.0017 and i am on froyo 2.2 stock is FRF91.
just download the PASSIMG for FRF91 from
http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...on_KT_KR_2.15.1010.2_FRF91_release_signed.zip
after download rename it "PASSIMG.zip" than put it on root of sd card..(formatted by fat32)
now put phone is bootloader mode by pressing vol up + power button
than fastboot verifies passimg file and ask you to flash this rom
now press vol up (yes)
than wait for 5 min to flash this rom on ur nexus one..
reboot and wait for 5min and it and done...
if u still not boot normal than again go to boot mode
select recovery
when u see trangle logo and android than press vol up +power buttong
than recovery menu show up
than wipe user data
and wie user catche
reboot
done..

Have you tried booting into recovery? Power+volume down...
Did you try to boot without the SD card? It helped me once.
Assuming you are running a custom recovery image, go to it via the bootloader menu (Turn phone on while holding volume down, then navigate to recovery using the volume buttons and selecting recovery using the power button). You should then be able to flash the same ROM you currently have installed. If however this is a completely stock device then you could run PASSIMG.zip via the bootloader to save your current install. If you need more info just ask
i cant able to access recovery mode

where is wipe option...let me tell u that i cant able to access recovery menu ..without recovery menu i cant wipe or flash the phone??
is that true?
If you can flash a rom use 2.1.1 not 2.1. Assume you are doing that thru fastboot from pc.
Also, try the 3 finger reboot to get to recovery.
Hold down pwr/vol-/trackball at sametime until phone boots into bootloader, then navigate to recovery option. Then wipe all and restore a good bu. If this happened while dl'ing apps, one may be bad. Get all of them off phone and do one at a time.

Ok, understand now.
You may have some options thru fastboot and the pc. Do you have SDK installed on pc. I am not good at that, someone else may have suggestions along those lines. Unless, as I asked, you already have used that method to flash amon ra 2.1.
If you can thru fastbboot with SDK I would still flash amon 2.1.1

I am out of ideas, sorry
Someone will get you going
Sounds like you are using SDK, it may be the way to wipe and get back to an original phone state, then reupgrade. I don't know sdk very well.
Did you try the other idea of trying to get to recovery with sd card out of phone. If you do that you may want to back it up while out of phone if you have a sd card reader
Good Luck and wait for more help

Why does this thread say solved??
Just restore a stock image.
Follow the wiki guide for unroot/restore. Use the passimg method, with the FRG33 zip, which can be found by following the link on the word "here" on step 2...

Anyway glad he got it--what did he do to fix

Looks like he did exactly what I posted. Funny thing was, it was a thread on another forum, where I had suggested the same thing to someone else, and he'd picked up the trail... xD

Where can i find fastboot instructions?
Guys,
I'm losing my mind here.
I've tried to install the CyanogenMod but I've run into some problems.
Why is it so damn difficult to install this?
I've spent 4 hours following different guides and none of them are step by step.
The ones that come close, never mention possible issues along the way which you then have to find on other forums.
Anyway,
can someone please help me with the following:
I'm getting stuck on booting into recovery.
I run the command and the phone reboots. however, it then presents a Triangle and an exclamation mark!
The instruction show that I am supposed to see a Green text recovery screen.
I'm having to hit the up volume and power button, which gives a blue text recovery screen with limited options.
I've tried the Amon_Ra's Recovery process and the ClockworkMod Recovery process to no avail!!!
I also tried the rom manager but the app keep giving "An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands"
I know it's something that I'm doing wrong but I'm very close to throwing this phone out the window and going back to an iphone... This is just not ****ing worth it.
I've done everything up to reboot to recovery part from this guide: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Nexus_One:_Full_Update_Guide
/please help.

Go to this thread. Read it. Download the apk. Root your device (you could not flash a custom recovery because you are not rooted!...). Download RomManager from the Market. Install a custom recovery through RomManager and you are done.

mhhh ok. So you probably have no insecure boot image. That's probably why you can't flash any recovery from RomManager....
Try this at MoDaCo. Download an unsecure boot image... And try again.
Downloaded Universal Androot.
Clicked to root, goes OK ok ok ok ok ok ok ok then "Failed ! No ~~~ Fu Goo ~~~
edit - trying superoneclick

if your running android 2.2.1 it wont work mate! try z4 root off the market worked for me!
ok, superoneclick seemed to have work and rooter the phone!
using rom manager to flash the clockwordmod recovery now. Lets see if it fails and gives and permissions error. If not, I'll boot into recovery and see if that works.
thanks for the assistance thus far.. /puts iphone back in the drawer.
recovery worked, ran the update.zip
downloaded the Cyanogen mode via rom manager, but when it tried the clockwork recovery, I get the triangle again... frustrating.

what update .zip?
I have the same problem...Well i rooted with superclick then when i go into recovery mode and click on recovery it shows a white triangle. I removed the memory card while rooting, could that be the problem?
You need to delete the following two files, and reinstall your custom recovery. These files restore the stock recovery during a full boot.
/system/etc/install-recovery.sh
/system/recovery-from-boot.p

Remember, once rooted you will need to instal a custom recovery. You will also need to delete the two files I mentioned above, otherwise you will lose custom recovery when you boot...

I was in 2.3.3 and i wanted to install MIUI so i installed Froyo(but kept the bootloader from JVK) then i followed all steps and everything went well until i came to the last part(installing MIUI.zip with CWM) when i went into recovery, CWM dosen't respond if i try to do anything the menu disapperes and all i got is the background image(the orange hat), i tried the procedure twice and always got the same problem. Any ideas?
flash back to froyo, with a froyo bootloader and start again.
follow the instructions exactly and you shouldnt go wrong.

I also had problems. You really have to follow instructions to the letter. It will make it work for sure
well after watching the video i got it to work, all i was doing wrong was instead of pressing the "power" button in recovery i was pressing the "home button", feel kind of stupid for that
Hi, can anyone please help with this?
I have a milestone that has root access, have followed step by step instructions on how to get into recovery so that I can flash a custom rom, vulnerable recovery has been flashed to it and open recovery been put on the memory card but it wont recognise open recovery, it just goes into normal bootloader screen. What sshould be done to make it enter boatloader as instructions have been followed step by step?
Thanks for your help

As stated in the name, to get into OpenRecovery you want to enter Recovery mode. When the phone is off, hold power+x until you see the Motorola logo. Then hold camera+vol-up to enter recovery mode, select update.zip and then you will be in OR.
I've done that but the only thing that shows up is the bootloader which says batteryk
ok to program
transfer mode: usb
thats the part that it wont go past
did you turn off the phone before you tried?
Yes, tried it with phone off first but no luck

I hv the same problem. The update file is corrupted.
I flashed back to original rom then recovery then open recovery...
finally, custom rom.
Happened to me to way before. It was because the sbf file we flash through rsd lite was corrupted or something. If you need a good version maybe I can tell you where to find it.good luck.

I followed the steps on this site droidviews com /2013/ root-htc-one-m7-and-install-clockworkmod-recovery-on-it to root my phone. but I get no on-screen instructions and your HTC One will be rooted in a few moments. it goes to the white screen saying this is for devs and then turns off after a few secs. the bootloader screen now says tampered and unlocked at the top but I am not rooted.

Don't think you have done anything wrong. It's perfectly normal the bootloader screen shows "Tampered Unlock", otherwise you may not be able to get into recovery mode.
need to be more specific though. Have you flashed the recovery using fastboot? erase cache after flashing recovery may be helpful.
pay attention to the top of the booting screen see if there's a line says entering recovery
having the bootloader unlocked is not the same thing as rooting the phone.

I know I can get into cwm touch I have that but thats all I have. I was reading the site he linked and it says I have to get cwm to flash either supersu or super user. I guess the thing I tried didnt put that in. I just want to be rooted so I can use usb thethering for free if I ever need to use it on my laptop. I thought I was smart enough to handle this but once I started I realize maybe I didnt do enough research and I don't want to break my phone.

We all have to learn somewhere. All you need to do is flash Team Win Recovery it should be the very last one in the list of recoveries. Do the touch version. Then reboot your phone into recovery once you are in Team win recovery select reset the recovery will then ask if you want to root. There are many other ways but I think this is about as easy as it gets.
