Hello Guys,
I have dumped the ROM of my Xperia X1i which has an T-Mobile Austria Branding, because i can't find it anywhere in this Forum!
I want to have it as a Backup, if i need to send my Device back for repair.

Below you can see some Screenshots of the ROM-Identification!
I Dumped it within use of the instructions found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=462926
As you can read in this Thread the Tutorial worked for other Roms, so i hope it worked for me!
=>many thank's to Angelusz for the Summary!!!!

I really appreciate your work . It will help a lot of (austrian) people.
But I think the austrian stock ROM uses diffrent settings then the german? Is there any hint in WM or in the t-mobile logo that you're using an austrian version?
I definitly need a stock version from the german t-mobile rom. And I won't flash anything before i have a backup of the original file. sorry
Hopefully here are enough flash experts that can check.
i need german austria stock rom , anyway good work

I have added some Screenshots, and in the 3rd one you can see that the "Benutzervariante" says "TMO_AT" which points definately to an Austrian T-Mobile Rom!
The only hint that my ROM is from T-Mobile Austria you can see in Screenshot 3!
There are no other hints which let me know that my rom is an "Austrian" one.
But anyway a few weeks ago i flashed an German (Deutschland) T-Mobile Rom into an Austrian MDA Compact 4 (aka. HTC Diamond) and everything worked fine for me! (I have downloaded the ROM from the German T-Mobile Webpage)
I just noted the Parameters for "SMS-Dienstnummer" (+43676021) and the "Mailbox" (+436762200) bevore i flashed the Image.
After flashing i set the parameters at "Start->Einstellungen->Telefon->Dienste->Mailbox und SMS->Einstellungen anfordern" to the noted one's and SMS/MMS and Mailbox worked fine!
For GPRS/UMTS i had to set up a new Connection at "Start->Einstellungen->Verbindungen->Erweitert->Netzwerke auswählen"
I had to enter "T-Mobile Internet" for GPRS/UMTS to get working!
So i think, that the Austrian T-Mobile Image should work with your German Device!
But i understand your point of view when you say "I don't flash anything before i have an 100% working Backup of my original ROM" -> this is also my point of View, and the reason why i Dumped the ROM of my Phone!
Now i am just waiting if anyone (perhaps an nice German/Austrian guy who have already flashed his Device with an alternative ROM) check's the functionallity of my Dumped ROM!
Please test my Dump!
Hey guys!
Is there nobody who can test my dumped ROM?
I think we all want to know if my dump works!
-> If it doesn't i have to dump again!!
If my dump doesn't work and i flash another ROM then we lost the chance to have a working Original T-Mobile Austria Stock ROM!!
So please,please,please,please,please,please test my ROM!!
Thank's
I bought a new HTC Touch Pro2 and made the wrong ROM choice. The NL version does not provide English as language. Smartphone can not be changed by the reseller
Is there a way to change NL ROM to EN ROM or add English as a language so I can use English Interface

Not possible ATM. You will have to wait for Hard-SPL to be available.
That will allow you to flash another ROM to your device.
NO problem:
-create a goldcard using QMAT, and put the OFFICIAL HTC ROM on the card in your preferred language; Call this nbh file: RHODIMG.NBH
Now boot into three colored screen (volume down & reset) and your device will be flashed to your desired language.
Regards,

BTW: moved to Rhodium forums.
No problem with QMAT.
I have make an update from German to WWE today.
Does it only change the language or replace the complete ROM?
It is a complete ROM.
Sorry guys, bit of a novice at this what does the following mean.
"and put the OFFICIAL HTC ROM on the card in your preferred language"
I have downloaded QMAT and have found the Gold card bit but totally flummoxed as to what todo next.
I am english but living in NL and have the same prob with dutch ROM on it.
Thx

What is in the Europe ROM?
I dont have a TP2, and im not a cook either so I dont know anything about the ROMs. I have just put all the ROMs I could find in one place for others to use/play with
I've upgraded my device succesfully to the Europe ROM. Does anybody knows, if this ROM includes multiple languages?
If yes? Can I define the desired target language?
I really want to change my TP2 to WWE but first I wanted to download the PTG (portuguese) ROM that I have in my device!
How can I do it? Or should I find it somewhere in the internet?
Thanks
You can ask cmonex via PM.
Flashing the Rom
I've just found out also that once you have your gold card you can use ROMUpdateUtility with RUU_signed.nbh or whatever and it works entirely well!
even though T-Mobile US TP II has not yet released
do you think is it possible to flash TMO_US to CHT?
note: I need to keep band IV support (TMO hardware has band I/IV instead of I/VIII)
So would it be possible to put an english rom on a french pda ?
Cause i'd rather have the azerty keyboard, but that's only for sale with the french phones.
guys,,
I bought my TP2 from UK, and I tried to update my device by using the new ARABIC ROM....but it keeps giving me this message:
ERROR [294]: invalid vendor ID
This update utility cannot be used for your PDA phone
you have to unlock first
Ofcourse the arabic ROM will not install on your UK device. You will have to unlock it using the method mentioned in this forum.
The only thing is that you will need a registered version of QMAT which costs around 20 euros
i try to use the differet rom on my pro 2, beacuse the offical rom is so slow
i hear some method can display chinese and input on the english rom, how can i do or found the information??
help me please~
i have used cd star to input and view chinese (apparently once you install the software, it installs the font so you can read chinese). I used it on WinMo 6.1 and have not yet install in my tilt 2 yet (but will do it soon) so I presume it will work without any issue.

i need the Traditional Chinese anyway thanks for your help
use the font from Hong Kong official ROM.
It supports CHT almost perfectly. but remember you have to change your regional settings to Chinese(Taiwan) or Chinese(Hong Kong).
E-Mail me if you want a cab.
For the Chinese input, tell us which IME you use.
anyway
its same
安装那个我提到的雅黑字体

繁体输入的话,随便安装你喜欢的繁体输入法即可.
in this , http://ricky119.com/chinesesupport/ ,you can find many useful resources , Chinese(Asia Language) support for Non-Chinese ROM
of course it support both CHT and CHS
final jzhyok give me a method to slove problem , it is good method!!!!!
thanks so much all of you!!!!!!^^
This is what I always use....very small and works really well (it adds support for Japanese and Korean characters as well)

I dont really need the input method so I just use the Droid.cab only. You can try them out
thank you
I got my Tilt 2 today. i am still learning how to install the softwares on my cell phone. thank you guys for your advices on this forum.
Is is possible to extract the Chinese Font and input method from the Official HKCSL_WWE ROM? (CSL is a phone company in Hong Kong)
I am using the Offcial HKCSL_WWE ROM on my Pure now but I would like to use some nicely customize ROM find here.
The only only problem is I need Chinese. I wish I can put the Chinese font and input method to some cooked ROM.
Thank you for any reply,
From my experience with it so far, not really. The input has not been successfully installed on top of any of the existing cooked roms.
You will have to cook your own rom using HK CSL CHT input. I have not seen any of the cooked roms on here providing the CHT input.
yup...probably like what you said..

These are the cabs I use to get Chinese display on my Topaz. Seems to work fine with the new manila. First, I install the font cab, then without rebooting, install the NLS cab. Then reboot. Sometimes it takes 2 reboots to get working, but so far so good. These cabs only provide support for viewing Chinese, not typing it. You'll need to find something else for that. There are several input methods floating around on xda if u look.
Good Luck
i use ricky 6.5 chinese cab too. [tho i edit the cab and put another font in it, cuz the one ricky had was bold and i didnt want bold ^^;]
heres the procedure i use everytime i flashed a custom [energy] rom::
1. install TF3D2.Chinese.Taiwan_20090917_xmatrix.cab [by xkaiser] to convert most words to chinese. no need to reboot after install. n u will notice most things r displayed as squares now [install this if you want your manila to display in chinese, proceed to #2 if installed, if not installed, no need to do step 2]
2. IMPORTANT copy the files in smsfix.zip to \Windows root folder [this is because the language pack deleted the sms notification files, so if you dont add these files back, you will not receive any sound or vibrate when a new message comes in]
3. install RickyMSYH6.0Full__.cab follow the installation and soft reset when it asks to reset
4. install HTC Rhodium A4 IME V2.8 WVGA.cab [this is a chinese input that im currently using, it was designed for a touchpro2, so the keyboard is pretty much alike as the one we are using. tho... this one doesnt have handwritten input :[ ] this software is in simplifed chinese, but it works fine with typing traditional and hong kong characters
i dont know if installing these cabs will have any side affects though, i have no problem with it. been using them for awhile now, and they work with all the energy roms ive flashed [including the latest topaz 2011 build]
do it on your own risk :]

What everyone is saying is that even if you successfully extract the files, you couldn't install them into a cooked ROM. You would need to create your own ROM and add the chinese input when you cook it. I have tried some cabs in XDA that claim to let you use the htc chinese input and fonts, but they never worked for me. In fact they totally screwed up my phone and I had to hard reset.
That being said, you could (potentially) dump the rom you are using, then import it into a kitchen and cook your own custom ROM. There are lots of cooking tutorials on this site if you look around, but be prepared to invest considerable time and energy into the learning process. And to be honest, I think the other viewing and input methods listed in this thread are superior.
Just my 2 cents.

The display problem is very easy to fix. There are many fonts out there that work on Manila. If that's what is being looked for, I think some solutions have already been posted in this thread.
However, if you're trying to get the original HK CSL HTC CHT IME installed, then I am not aware of any solutions yet.

[Q] [ROM+KITCHEN?+INFO] T5388++ / S650 / Diamond 2 Clone -> Comatose problem solved!!
Hello, I opened this thread for the T5388++ (S650, 480x800 WVGA dual sim) because the other thread for the clones has over 100 pages. The models are very different and need different procedures (including the roms are different format) and also have different problems.
I have a T5388++ and I was desperate (a lot of another users too) because the comatose problem is an extremely serious problem, at any time phone dies, and when anybody call he hears signal, but the phone not sound or show anything.
I've tried to change roms, I've tried changing the temperature, I've tried changing the sims (with and without) ... three months of tests to nothing ... the phone was falling into a coma randomly, but ...
Last week I found a new ROM cooked in a Chinese forum by a chef who made a lite version with old xip (for reasons of space and stability) and I tried it ...
FANTASTIC!! (Verified to be a software problem and not hardware, FIVE DAYS continuosly, if you don´t believe me, please try it) I think that this rom is a great discovery.
It never crashed, NEVER. Everything is perfect (not all, some minor bugs) ... but ... :-( it is in Chinese ... I only can use things that I know by icons (call, sms, contacts, basic config, ...) I've talked to the creator of the rom and tells me that he can not translate because he does not know English, he only do Chinese cooking and he could not tell if it is properly translated or no.
Searching the web I found a site where they have a rom kitchen for viva model, a processor-based Hisilicon K3 (which is which carries the S650, T5388 + + for friends), and I've tried to do modifications with MUI English files (I made dump, made the packages, etc ...), but I only get corrupt rom, IDT flashes it, but phone doesn't boot, only can boot in download mode to change rom again. I can not go further. I can´t say if this kitchen is correct for this model or not.
I call chefs for help, this rom is irreplaceable, is the ONLY real stable rom that I've found (I tested over 50 different roms, different languages and Windows versions, and a lot of users report same error in a lot of forums) and I think it is worth translating.
Does anyone want to try to do a translation? If you know but you do not have a phone available to test, I will test and I will take the risk, no problem.
This rom should deserves a generous donation because it corrects a major problem with a phone that is VERY good (dual sim, great battery life, high resolution, high sensitivity, fast, good sound quality ...)
Teachers, what can you do?
I put the links and the kitchen (supossed that kitchen is correct for this model).

I can do it, but in a few weeks. Right now, I don't have the phone with me. I'm still waiting to receive it.
I've managed to dump the ROM successfully and rebuild it using a new 0409 SYS.
Are you able to wait until my phone arrives? Otherwise, I can provide you the new ROM and flash it at your own risk.
EDIT: Can you tell me the WM build and the manufacturer version of that ROM?
EDIT2: Well, it appears that this ROM is based on 21911.
Hello, I'm from portugal too and have the same problem the version of the wm is:
- 5.2.23090 build 21911.
ROM: C03.021.01
Can you tell me how can I dump the rom so I can edit. Put some software in it and alter the language.
I'd love to learn to do it.
And I have i phone to test it.

(phone dial, sms and mms menus, camera, wireless manager, rotation screen, etc... standard WM apps don´t work in dual sim) I suposse that is needed change all of that executables by english versions of that. Take an english ROM (for example solonomi english rom), dump it, and replace chinese specific files with english files without touch system WM files, only MUI version. Is that what you did?
If you upload your 0409 version of 21911 I will try it. (Rapidshare, megaupload, etc...)
WM version is: 5.2.23090 and 21911.5.0.94
Hardware version is: 3.21.99.1310720 (number of version that shows IDT)
(I saw that IDT shows different numbers with different roms, all roms that I tried and work, have same last number: 1310720 but first digits change, most common is 1.1.1.1310720)
By the way, rom has several minor bugs:
- Battery button doesn´t works
- App that shows rom version and hardware revision (in configuration panel) doesn´t work
- App to record conversation doesn´t work
- App to reset/power by soft doesn´t work
- Specific app to configure name and functions of each sim (in user panel) doesn´t work
- Specific app to configure data connection (in connections panel, configure if phone uses sim1 or sim2) doesn´t work
If you can identify and fix some of this bugs, it would be perfect, but I suposse that it´s complicated without a phone in your hand to test it.
Thank you very much
Best regards

Those apps also have the .mui file for the english language. The only change needed is in the SYS itself, just a matter of replacing SYS from CHS to ENG.

Ahhh, I thought you would say that. When I cooked a new ROM using a COM2 build (which is the case here with build 21911), I've noticed that problem. It seems to me that those apps were developed to work with newer builds only (from COM3 or COM5 branches).
You may be wondering why I say that I can do it, even if I don't have the phone right now. Well, I had the phone, but I had to send it back to the supplier due to a problem with the power button. When the phone was in my possession, I successfully flashed my own cooked ROM, so I know it works. I didn't have the chance to fully test it but didn't experienced any SOD.
Ohhh I see that you are a great chef, really.
Ok, when you have time upload your cooked rom and I will try it and I say you what happened.
By the way, what´s the meaning of SOD? (something of death

SOD stands for sleep of death. I guess that's the comatose that T5388++ users refers.
Obrigado.
Boa noite

Did you read the bat files that are in the kitchen that I post?
In that bat files, you will find some information, but I suposse that is no correct, because I followed it and I got dump ROM and built again, but phone didn´t boot.
But I think that files are fine to learn, and try to get a finish img-new.nb0
bgcngm could you explain us what steps do you follow to get a working ROM?
Thank you very much
Best regards
PS.- NOT ALL CLONES follow exactly same steps, HTC is only one brand, but clones are a lot.
Thank you for the explanation.
I have a T5388++.
I've been testing the rom and for me it makes for 2 times SOD since yesterday.
Did you try chinese rom???? Did you have 2 SOD with chinese ROM, without any other software installed?
Yes with chinese rom, the only thing it is installed was SPB Mobile shell so it was easy to move in the phone.
Do you think is SPB
I don't know the cause, but I verified that is something related to stand-by and on/off screen and unlock buttons, because the core of the system is working (you call to your own phone and you receive signal).
Please, verify that you have installed 5.2.23090 / 21911.5.0.94 by:[email protected]
and then go to Configuration Settings (gearwheel icon) -> System (windows logo icon) -> Restore complete system (a trash with arrow icon) and type "1234", finally push in bottom left button
With that you restore your rom (or you can reflash it if you want, it is not enough uninstall SPB) and try it a couple of days, I have it installed several days without problems and I tried WIFI (perfect), bluetooth (perfect), mail subsystem (perfect), internet explorer (perfect)... without any SOD.
Best regards
Ok, thank you, before i read this message i've done that, and will try without any software extra.
I have just one question, if you know how to solve this problem I have.
Im the t5388++ the tinanium has one plug-in that it come with the phone Cnetwork.
When I put new plug-ins this plug-in desapear, but he still is in the registry.
Do you know how to put it back, without doing a hard reset.

Use CHome Editor to activate that plugin again.

Sorry manueldg, but I didn't had time to do it because of work. Maybe this weekend.
