When i press the power button to turn the phone on, i get the Touch diamond logo after that i normaly get the rom information in red on the lower right corner. But now it turns black and it does nothing.
Can it be solved?

I noticed my screen goes black when calling. I onle get things visable again by pressing the power button.

I have a old HP Ipaq 1940 which I want to use for some testing n stuff, BUT--
I can tget it to work - turn it on, it shows HP loading screen(loading bar in bottom and 1.00 at right bottom), then it shows topbar on top of that screen and an error " 'BTTrayCE' is not a valid Pocket PC application." and ok in top right corner of that windows-- after a while it shows "print" screen and tap anywhere on bottom, tapped and back to bttrayce and topbar screen,,,, trying to press on ok (bttrayce screen) doesnt work but the screen responds(its like its not calibrated),, then by pressing all hardware buttons randomly i somehow get pass the "bttrayce" error- it goes to "tap the screen to setup your device" , taped it and it goes to allign screen ,, pressed all 5 times right in the middle of + and it shows the allign screen again <- can get past that screen!!!
the PPC had a cracked Digitizer (top of screen was OK, but at the same time bottom was about 1cm off the place you pressed) awhile back, but it had the same error ,, changed the digitizer(from ebay and installed it at home) and the problem still is there!!
tried HardResset and I can get in Parrot mode by pressing all 4 hardware buttons+ power button + reset button, but nothing works!!!
I hope this is the right section for troubleshooting...
But right now I have Cyanogen's 4.1.9999 coming from 4.1.9.2 with a flash. And when I had 4.1.9.2 for some reason when i clicked the menu button my screen wouldn't turn on. The buttons would light up but the screen would not turn on. So I'd have to slide it up and press menu and then itd sometimes work. So When i slid it up i always pressed a letter and the screen would turn off. Then i started to notice that even THAT started not to work. And for some reason it's still stuck on 4.1.9999 with a flash. So now my screen only turns on when it wants too...
Can someone please help me? Thanks
And also when I restart my phone, the "T-mobile G1" black screen doesn't come anymore...

I have a weird problem with my Tytn2. When i try to turn it off by pressing for 5 seconds the power button, it displays on the screen the regular message, that power will be turned off and i may lose data if not saved. Press ok and the power seemes to be turned off completely, because the green led won't flash. But, when i press the power button trying to turn on the device, it doesn't boot for entering the system, it just suddenly display the Orange Logo and above it a tiny black bar with the proper icon showing me that i have no phone signal at all (see picture). By pressing the "x" in the right side of the bar, the logo dissapear and appears the home screen, but the same icon is showing that i have no signal at all. I have to go to the comm manager, press once the Phone symbol which is already blue (enabled), and it sticks on the Flight mode. Press once again the Phone, and i have phone signal. The fact is that the phone it doesn't turn off completely and it hangs in a weird state (sleep mode ?). Please help me if you can! Thank you very much !
Hard-Reset your phone.
I've had my Nexus One for some time now, and i'm having a problem with it. Whenever i turn it on (sometimes i have to try more than once because it just stays black) it works ok, but when i lock it and try to unlock it (with the power button) the screen stays black. The action buttons at the bottom of the screen turn on but the screen stays black. I have CM 7.2 and i just flashed it and formatted all the partitions i could think of and it's still doing this.
If i call the phone after locking it, it will ring and the trackball flashes but the screen stays black.
Any help?
When the phone is on everything works fine.
P.S. I've searched the forums and found a few threads but none offer a good answer.
EDIT: If i leave it for like an hour or so i can turn the screen back on with the power button, but only once.
i have the same problem, am using the stock rom .. it happens after ending a phone call the screen stays black and i have to restart the device
