HTC TyTnII button problem - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Only the direction buttons and center button do anything, and the center button brings up the start menu for some reason. Actually the other buttons don't do anything, but they get the buttons to light up. On the keyboard the arrow keys make the keyboard light come on, but nothing else and no other keyboard buttons work. Also, when the phone come out of sleep mode everytime it goes to the phone mode and enters EDFC and possibly other letters I'm missing. Touch Screen interface works fine.
When I turn on my backlight with power button its activating Push to talk. But during turn off no PTT is called.
I'm not even able to do hard reset. Coz my left and right soft keys not working.
My phone is HTC TyTnII. But I have been using AT&T Rom since few months without any problem.
I tried flashing with WWE Kaiser/o2 WM6.1 same is the problem.
ROM Version : 1.62.502.0

HELP! My BA's button are mess up

Hi experts, I was using ArtZ's Widcomm WM5 rom and radio 1.15 for a week with no problem. I think after I uninstall the HTC SmartDial and problems came up. The Answer(Green Phone Button), Hang up(Red Phone) buttons and D-pad including action button in the center of d-pad are not functioning as they should. When I press answer button in WM5, first start menu, contact and calender all pop-up. The rest of the buttons including D-pad starts different programs. I tried to reflash to Ivan's WM5 rom and downgrade to WM2003, but the buttons still won't function properly. Help, I can't even answer the phone or hang up using buttons.
YEAH! FIXED itself.
I took out the battery and leave it over night while the backup runs out. I put back the main battery and buttons works again. It is nice to map the Answer button to voice activate or something else. Does anyone knows how the change the phone buttons or D-pad to some other functions?

Send button won't launch dialer...

Since upgrading to the HTC WM6.1 ROM and installing HardSPL 3.56, I seem to have lost the ability to launch the phone when it's in sleep mode by pressing either the send or end buttons. In fact, NONE of the buttons will wake the device. Is this a setting that just needs to be changed back, or did I screw the pooch?
Duh.
Disregard. Looks like the Settings/System/KeyLock defaulted to 'Lock all buttons except power button' setting.
Man, going from an HX4700 to a phone is something of a learning curve.

Physical BUtton on Xperia besides Power Button Don't Work

So all my physical keys on my xperia x1 including the Volume button, the ok button, the X panel button, the pick up call button, the end call button, the two silver buttons all don't work. None of the keys on my keyboard work either.
I've been trying to hard reset but every method I've found includes holding down the volume button (which doesnt work since that button is unresponsive). I've tried the 2 silver button method along with the poking the stylus in the hard reset hole in the back of the phone but that doesnt work either since the silver buttons are unresponsive.
So now I'm looking for the Clear_Storage thing I've been reading about but I can't find it so could someone please supply me with the directory I could find it in or any other solution you can think of to help me hard reset my phone so I can flash a new ROM.
BTW I've used Hard-SPL to flash roms before, it's just this last ROM from itje got all screwy and made the buttons stop working.
Thanks, Nik
Setting > System > Clear Storage.
Sometimes Itje takes it out of his ROMs, though. You can try reflashing by pc method if it's not there.
Yea I've checked and it's not in there, how would you do it by pc?
Is it that ruu executable that you run while it's synced? For some reason
that never actually worked with my comp which is why I always resorted to the SD Card Flash method, but I can't get into the Hard-SPL loader now cause of the button problem.
Does anyone know how to hard-reset without having to use the hardware buttons, because I really need to be able to use my phone again.
Need Help =/
Next to malfunctioning buttons, is the phone starting up?
What happens, if you plug a USB cable in? If you can select ActiveSync mode, then you could easily try to re-flash another ROM image - maybe the one you have been using was corruptly downloaded or something.
Or, if you get too much of strange behaviour like this, try a stock ROM first, then another custom ROM.
It boots up and works fine as long as I stick to using the touch screen and I can USB ActiveSync it too. I know some of the older ROMs used to have an exe you could run while in ActiveSync and it would auto install but most of the new ROMs assume you're using the SD Card Method so I can't find the PC Installer app.
Alright so I managed to isntall a new version of that Firestorm Rom (3.8 I think) and my hardware buttons still don't work.
Like from the buttons that Works:
Power Button
Camera Button
Optical Joypad (only the center square)
Stuff that doesn't work:
X-Panel Button
Ok Button
Volume Button (up, down, center)
Pick up Call
Hang Up Call
Two Silver Buttons (left and right)
Left and Ride on "D-Pad"
ALL KEYBOARD KEYS
What is their left to do if a new ROM doesn't fix the problem?
what are my options for getting this fixed?
my volume keys dont work, dont know why but sometimes theyre working and sometimes not.
i have the same issue. but my g-letter button works. and all other buttons make the volume go up one notch and then down again. further more when i go into settings and the menu that controls what the buttons it only says it has a left and a right button.
have u been able to figure something out??

Screen problems

I am using the ROM [ROM][29JAN10]Gen.Y D2X R2.1[WM6.1 21056][UC][SENSE2.5][WWE|GER|NLD|ITA|FRA|SPA] with Radio version:1.13.25.24
I have to mention that the problem begin using the ROM [ROM][22JAN10]Gen.Y D2 R5.3[WM6.1 21056][UC][SENSE2.1][WWE|GER|NLD|ITA|FRA|SPA].
I made a hard reset on my HTC Touch Diamond because the GPS was not working. After that I began to experience strange things with my device, the screen was starting blinking if I was pressing the action button or any button from the device - if I make a soft reset the device says ''HTC Touch Diamond'' ok, after that is the welcome screen of the ROM, but after that the screen of the device goes off and I need to press the power button several times to see anything on the screen. After that if I am trying to access anything using the buttons from the device, the image on the screen starts to blinking and only if I press the power button to turn off the screen and after that to press again the power button to turn on the screen, the screen comes to normal. Until making the hard reset I never had this kind of problems. What is happening with my device?
These look like software problems. Have you tried flashing a non-Gen.Y ROM?
~codeslicer
I would try that if I even could connect the device to my computer and be recognize. I don't know what happened either with the computer or either with the device because the device is not recognize by the computer.
