Question about browser bookmarks - G1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I am running CM 4.0.4 with apps2sd.
I was wondering if since the browser is a stock app and is not stored on the sd card that if I were to switch to a 3rd party browser like Steel would the bookmarks be stored on the sd card so the when I do a wipe I keep all of my bookmarks.
I hate wiping and having to re-load all of my bookmarks, would switching to a 3rd party browser fix this problem? Or is there a way to back up the bookmarks with a apps2sd, or to store the stock browser on the sd card instead of the phone memory?
Thanks in advance!

Maybe there is a free version of something called Bookmark Backup & Restore in the Market that can take care of that for u.. ;-)

Bookmarks auto backup -> gmail ?

Hello everyone,
I read somewhere on the web about the program, which automatically makes a backup copy of your bookmarks on google account, but unfortunately I do not remember where it was and how it is called.
The search gives me only the results for applications on SD card bkup/rstr.
Does anybody heard about this?
I'll be grateful for the help, thanks.
Bump...
This would be good...
The only thing that i found yet is Dolphin Browser, it has a google bookamrks sync option.

Backing up bookmarks

Is there a way to backup my bookmarks in the stock Browser? I have a lot (close to 70) and don't want to have to save them again when I flash another rom? I downloaded chrome but the bookmarks don't show up.

advice for hard reset

I'm planning to do a hard reset/repair and want to get back up and running as quickly as possible, so any advice on what and how to backup would be appreciated.
Downloaded apps, contacts, calender, email etc. are all backed up through my Google account, so no worries there. Is the Sony PC Companion going to reliably backup my texts and call records, or should I use something like Helium?
I also plan to backup settings for certain apps onto the SD card (which I'll remove before the reset) and obviously photos/music will all be on the SD Card. Is there anything else important that I'm forgetting?
And when I put the SD card back in after the reset, are apps like album/music/mapping apps etc gonna automatically look on there for data, or will I need to go through them all and change settings to point them to the SD card?
Thanks.

best way to backup everything?

so now after my ongoing volume issue all the sudden my persistent ? Google search bar seems to partially disappear if almost totally randomly! f#(+ing annoying!!! I need to factory reset I guess.. I don't use backup to Google so cross that out. WHAT can I use to backup apps contacts pics music pics etc..? I've always had a rooted phone until now HATE IT SCREW VERIZON. THANKS GUYS
I've used Helium to back up app data and text messages. Some programs (such as whatsapp) allow you to manually save a backup to your internal storage as well. You can copy the backup to your PC with AirDroid or many other methods. You can also upload it to google drive or another cloud service.

Beware: Next Browser bookmarks

Moving to a new phone I can find no way to export or transfer my bookmarks from my old phone's Next Browser except by syncing to their website which I do not want to do.
Even Titanium Backup restore cannot transfer the bookmarks from one phone to the other.
So, unless you wish to share your bookmarks with their site, you cannot transfer your bookmarks.
