6 pin li-ion battery of Himalaya - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 Windows Mobile 6 Upgrading

Can any one tell me its positive and negative terminal as i want to charge it with universal charger but connection light doesnt gets on i tried my best to try different pins but dont get any combination right

let me search my pc, i have a pinout somewhere

With the battery back facing upward (like the picture attached), from left to right, pins 1 to 3 is negative, 4-6 positive.

Not quite so: Pins 1&2 is Negative, 3&4 are for monitoring charge, 5&6 is Positive.

mns123 is right. pin 3&4 are controlled by the build in electronic watching temperature and charging impulses. Never saw anyone, who got an universal charger running without ruining the battery

Battery drains quickly... while plugged in! wtf?!

okay so this is a new problem... if I plug my tilt in to my car charger, the battery actually drains faster than if it's unplugged... about a percentage a minute... when I come home and plug it... it charges regularly. I've tried 2 different roms, 3 different radios and 2 different car chargers... any ideas? been doing a lot of soft resets lately, wondering if that would burn the battery out?

okay so after my car charger "drains" my battery... I put the regular charger in and charge it from 74% to 85% in about 20 minutes... then I took the battery out and put it back in.. upon reboot my battery is at 97%... does this mean the car charger is somehow ACTUALLY charging the battery but for some reason making the phone think it's discharging it... this is tricky.

is the battery heating up while it is charging in the car?
I don't think so... I'm not 100% but I'd probabally remember something liek that
I just remember it was dropping like crazy after I plugged it in.. once it jumped from 39% to 34% when I was using it while it was plugged in for 4 minutes

sorry, should have asked in my first post but are you running TomTom or similar?
no, no abnormal software... even turned off the 3g and wifi... I'm starting to think it's not actual battery drainage because of how fast it's dying.... it dropped to 2% and shut itself off last night when I plugged it in.. took 5 minutes to go from 28% to "dead" then when I was charging it in my house that night it slowly went from 0% to 45% then it jumped to 98% and was full.. I'm so confused
Maybe let the battery drain out all the way so the phone won't even turn on, and then charge it back up. I've never heard of this happening before, but I know the phone has to "calibrate" the battery, for lack of a better word. Draining the battery all the way lets the phone set a "zero point". I dunno if it will help, but it would be worth a try.
haha it kinda did that on it's own last night... recharged it, it's got the same problem as of 20 minutes ago.. maybe it'll work itself out.... but I really need to be able to plug it into my car.
This is my second Tilt I'm playing with as the first one after I messed around with started to act funny.
1) Battery would be 100% - I wake up 6 hours later and it's dead.
2) Network consistently was being dropped even though it stated I was connected.
I've spend 5 hours on this site reading now and still don't know if I've learned much lol

Check the USB port. Is it slightly bent on the right side? I had this same problem & had to RMA. I confirmed that there was higher discharge using SK Tools & Anton Tomov Batery Meter. However, home charger still worked fine.

YES! the usb port looks a little messed up on the very last pin.. WTF? it looks squished or something... RMA? that doesn't sound good.. I hope I dont have to RMA... what's RMA? but yes there is definately something messed up about the right side of the USB port

Hmm... I would charge to 100% (or near enough) unplug it and then put the media player on and play it solid on repeat until the battery dies. Then charge it up to full again and see if there is any difference. These batteries don't have a memory as such, but as the previous poster said it may have got itself slightly 'confused'

When I plug my phone in, the orange light comes on, the phone says it is charging but the battery just seems to drain faster and after a couple of minutes the light goes out. I have BatteryStatus installed, when I connect the phone to my pc with the standard usb/synch cable BatteryStatus shows +0mW for a short while and after a few seconds it'll say it's at +1300mW or something like that.
In the car when I put the phone in the cradle it'll show +0mW for a few seconds, then around -250mW (Idle) and the orange light turns off...
But I actually caught it charging once with +22mW when turning it on (from standby). I tried all obvious things, softresetting the phone while charging etc. But nothing helps, the cradle is connected straight to the carbattery.

check your USB port... is your's messed up too?? you know what? I probabally accidently poked the stylus in mine while trying to reset a couple days ago... since I tried to do 20 resets when I was rom upgrading and adding software...

Just checked and yes it is, stylus thing happened to me also once....
It's a little bend downwards (when having the screen on top) @ the last 2 pins...
well looks like we've narrowed down the problem.. and it looks like the fix is gonna cost $80!!

What kind of carcharger do you have? Been reading about this problem and alot of ppl say the charger needs to be able to put out at least 1A for the phone to charge, I used some cheap cigarettelighter charger that was rated @ 650mA. It worked but charged so slowly that it would've taken days to fully charge. And besides that it didn't last long, 3 days before it blew the fuse and some more parts (worked for 2 secs after replacing the fuse)
I've tried several different ones... I think that since 3 people on this site all seem to have a "crushed" pin in our USB ports that's probabally the issue... now.. about a fix...
The amperage on your charger doesn't really matter. 1 amp is recommended so that you can use the device while charging, and the rate at which the battery charges does not diminish. If you used a 500mA charger, and had wi-fi & gps on, and media player blasting, for example, the battery may not charge at all because all the power coming from the charger is being used immediately. 1 amp chargers remedy this problem. Hope this makes sense, I've been having problems finding the correct words to express my ideas lately. Probably just stressed out! It sounds like the bent pin on the usb port may be resulting in a V+ pin shorting to ground (or V-). Which would drain the battery quickly. When you use battery power or charge the battery, it is normal for the battery to get warm. When you plug yours into the car charger (the one that drains it) does the battery get abnormally hot? This would indicate a short. Maybe try to put a real thin piece of film or something under the bent part of the port to insulate it while charging and see if that fixes it. This might offer a temporary fix until you get a new port. Maybe you could spend some time learning how to solder! I had to fix a broken port on a wizard a those solder points are friggin' tiny. Hope I could help. Good luck.

this sounds like it makes a lot of sense... I've got big clumsy hands, man I wish I had been more careful... well looks like I'm gonna be out $80! but quick question.. why would the wall charger operate normally while the car charger reverses charge?

My TYTN II deaded. When a I plug the power only the red light goes on. I did the procedure to put three batteries 1.5 v to charger the battery. After that, I plug the battery on cell phone and plugged the charger. The led goes ambar but after a I time goes back to red. I donĀ“t know if the mobile is sending the correct voltage to battery. Some body know what is the voltage on the four pins in that the battery is put on the mobile? I measure betwen first e last pin and I haved 0.9V.Some body can confirm that?

Looks like you have a bad charger. It should be 5 volts. Try a different charger if you have one or a USB port.

I tried other charger and usb port and have the same voltage on the pins on mobile. This voltage that I measured are back on the mobile where I plug the battery. I need to confirm what is the voltage on this pin to Know if I must change the battery or if my mobile has another problem.Thanks

I don't understand why you need to know that though. The Red light of death is a known issue and it's well documented in the relevant threads what to do about it. Although the HTC supplied chargers can be very poor quality, I had one completely fail after 4 uses or a couple of weeks, that wouldn't explain what you are experiencing. Do you have a different (spare) battery that you can swap in? Are you using the original HTC supplied mains charger? Have you tried carefully cleaning the gold connector springs on the phone and battery with a cotton bud/Q-tip and contact cleaner or IPA? I did have the problem of my battery only charging for a minute or so and then going off charge (with no light) but a terminal clean as above resolved that for me.

Flying, I did the test that I founded in this site put the battery to be charger with 3 AA BAttery and after that, the mobile turn on.I put the charger ( I have two) the led changed to ambar,like as charging, but I saw that the mobile wasnt charging, because after a time the led goes RED again. Because this I would like to know the voltage, than I can determine where is the problem. I use the origina battery (SAMSUNG) e the 2 chargers that came with my mobile. thanks
Two Things.
First, People have solved the RLOD without knowing the Voltage. So I don't know why you knowing that the Battery Puts out 3.7VDC at 1350mAh would help you solve the problem.
Also, The reporting of Voltage information to the Windows subsystem is sometimes flaky and the only true indicator is the Amber Light.
Secondly, If you are having a RLOD and you want to know the voltage. Post that question in the RLOD thread. It will help the next person who has the RLOD and wants to know the voltage for whatever weird reason.

If you're attempting to charge 3 AA cells for any length of time with the default charger, the different internal resistance/cell characteristics and the fact you have no temperature feedback thermistor signal may account for the red light after a while. My suggestion is to try cleaning the terminals on the battery and phone as already described with contact cleaner or IPA. Then commence the AA cell trick but remove the charge after just a short time (before the light goes red), shut it down and put in the original (cleaned terminal) battery and try again. If it still plays up, JimmyMcGee is right in that you should move over to the relevant pre-existing thread. Good luck.

Xperia X1 dead?

I am currently having problems with my X1 powering on.
I understand there has been a post on the forums regarding this subject I have read through it the symptoms of my phone are similar but I wanted to make sure.
The problem I have is 2 days ago my phone was low on batt so I plugged it into the charger [MBW bluetooth watch wall mount to USB]. Left it there and the next day I noticed the battery is completely drained. Try to power it on and red lights go on at the power button.
I've looked up on how to fix the problems followed the procedures and still no luck. Now the thing that is slightly different with my phone is sometimes the red lights are on at the power switch... but sometimes the red lights blink on the phones side LED's I understand the side LED's also blink to show low battery / errors.... so thats the part which is making me worry.
I was wondering if anyone had any insight to the problem or maybe possible solutions?

did you leave the batt really low? and what methods have you tried so far?
because what happened is that you probably unbalanced your battery (if I'm understanding correctly). I've had a similar problem as well with my previous x1.
just wondering though, you didn't do any mods to your ROM did you? if you didn't. you may be able to send the phone back to sony ericsson (if it's under warrenty) to replace it to get a new one.
just as a suggestion if you end up getting a new x1 or just a new battery that works. don't leave it until it's almost out to charge it. charge it maybe once a day or every other day (ensuring that your battery wont' die on you again).

Clean conductors

Yup it was one of the TouchFlo ROMs
I've ordered another battery but until then I'm still open to opinions on solutions.
Also does it mean anything if it randomly switchs from a red light on the power button to the LED on the sides flashing red.

Another thing you can try is one of the cheap $2 USB Pocket Universal Li-Ion Chargers - they aren't as sensitive as the X1 itself is, and since you can take the battery out of the X1 for charging it's a safer way to charge a problem battery like this one seems to be at the moment. If you have a spare battery anyway, then you'd want an external charger anyway to charge it without having to take off the case and change batteries every time. Also since it's USB it is low voltage and low amperage.
I had the same problem with the Red light below the button being on - and leaving the battery in one of these chargers for about 10 minutes had it charged enough that it worked with no problems again when I put it back in my X1 and I've been using the same battery ever since without a problem (for about a month now).

P.S. The "MBW bluetooth watch wall mount to USB charger" you were using might not have a high enough amperage for the X1 to charge well and that might be part of the problem. The X1's original USB charger is 700 mA, which is beyond the spec of the average USB wall plug (some of which are as low as 150-300 mA). Not getting enough amps at the proper voltage can cause the sorts of problems you are reporting. Using the actual X1 charger might help as well - though I still recommend the cheap $2 Universal USB Li-Ion chargers for emergencies.

Charging light flashes green and red

Hello,
I have bought this Battery for my HD2. If i charge my hd2 with it when windows mobile is running the charging light flashes between green and red and the Battery status goes from 55% on 100%. but if i shutdown the phone and charge it, it is normal. have anybody got an idea why this happens and how to fix it?

I have the same problem with a china battery and waiting for a replacement. My other hd2 with the htc battery works fine.
my stock battery done that at the weekend when i was charging it from the car, whilst runnin tomtom.
my guess is its a warning its pumping out more juice than its recieveing! like when you charge it from your cmputer.... it takes longer.

No!!! Thats a whole nother issue. Your car charger is crap, just like mine was before i got a rocketfish charger. I had the SAME issue with my tilt2 while running the sense music player while using my old crap car charger. The charger later died and have not had the problem since getting the new rocketfish charger and i used the tilt2 in the car the same way MANY times after that
mine was doing the same when was using more power than pumping ftom the wall charger. phone was very hot at this time

That Happens to me only on hot sunny summer days... when my HD2 is mounted on my car dash board and becomes hot due to the sun.
I learnd from the local HTC distributer that "flashing green/red" means that: The HD became hot, due to the hot environment / sun, and therefore activated its internal protection and disconected the charging facility in order to defend the battery.
After cooling the HD2 that phenomenon stops and charging is as usual.
My solution is:
In order to cool the HD2 while driving and avoid that problem, I operate my car air condition unit and direct its cool air flow only to the front glass. Not to the passengers as usual. That is in the same way you direct the air flow in order remove steam from the front car glass during winter days.
The cool air from the air condition, heats the glass and goes back towards the passengers. On its way it cools the black HD2 which stands in the sun on my dash board.
I know it is not the best solution but its the cheapest working one.

Check the middle battery connector prong in the phone hasnt bent in such away it isnt actually making contact with the terminal on the battery as this is exactly what happened to me and gave the same symptoms.
A little corrective adjustment with a pair of tweezers and problem solved.

However it seems to be ok and with no deviation.
correct power input
it flashes if u get the wrong input with car chargers.it happened to me plus it dosent charge even after charging with phpne off.so i bought the correct power input charger.problem solved.
I sometimes get this also while using TomTom in the car on a hot day.
I repositioned the holder in front of the centre air vent, and let fresh air flow over the device.
Hasn't happened since.
It basically means "I'm not charging because there's a problem" either because the phone is too hot, or because there's a problem with the battery.
Last week I bought the extra large battery with kickstand for use while on holiday next week, same problem with charging from the 1A wall charger (original HTC battery charges fine) straight away so the flashing doesn't just mean "overheat"
Sent the battery back and should get a replacement in the next few days.
I use a 650mA charger in the car (I have a 1A charger but the contact needs resoldering) and while using movie player, tomtom and browsing, it popped up with a message that the device drain was greater than the charger could provide so it disabled charing, amber light went out rather than flashing green/amber.
ok, in total i have 4 normal batteries and 2x mugen 2600. (i have 2x HD2)
yes there are batteries that flash red/green.
from what i observed. with screen on, 0%-95% the batttery usually accepts around +700mah to +850mah.
once 96% it trickles down to less than +500mah
for those flashing, the battery still charges. it's just that the curcuitry is warning that the battery doesnt want to accept the normal charging amp.
so when it flashes it's doing around 300-500 when it's below 96%.
i have 2 batteries that shows the same problem on both HD2. but they still charge, it just takes longer to hit 100% charge that's all.
if it's flashing red/green, the battery is not capable of high charge, only normal charge of around 100-3xx mah.
feel free to correct me.
oh, the circuit allows max of 950mah input, i know cuz i have a 4Ah USB charger.

Question How can I see my true battery percentage?

Basically, my friend gave me his Mi 11 because it was not working and he bought a new phone, I managed to get it working, but the problem is that the battery percentage goes up when unplugged and not by 1 percent, but all the way to 100, but, when the phone is off and it's actually charging it does not randomly go up, so is there a way to see my true battery percentage?
Oh and by the way it never goes down just up, which is why I am asking this because I don't have a way to see how much battery I actually have (I do have a battery I ordered on the way but for now I need something)

I checked the charging and battery info menu (you can find it by dialing a certain number idk what number) and it reports that the battery current (i forgot to say this but accubattery also said this) is -500k.
The battery controller is definitely broken. I'll try to see if its possible to see how much volts the battery has.

I dont think theres any way to see that without a multimeter or something, I dont have one.
Had exact issue with my Mi11. I opened it, moved one wire which fell out of the wire canal back to the expected place, disconnected all the plugs (battery, camera,...), reconnected them, and voila it shows correct battery % again.

I fixed it already a while ago, was just a lose cable, interesting why it does that though, like it just sets the battery percentage to 1 and goes up slowly
