This software does not work with the Hero But could do with something that makes it work!!

There is a app on the market call "bluetooth file transfer" that says you dont need root and it will send and receive bluetooth, some people are saying it works and some arnt. so i guess its just try and see what it does for you, i havn't had time to try it yet, but when i have i will report back
I have a rooted G2 and i just tried it. It will pair with everything but will not start file transfer as it says " cant start OBEX FTP, return value false. Shame

me too...
I have MyHero 2.0.5 rom.
Same here MoDaCo 2.9 ROM , seems like we should wait for those APIs to be fixed on v2.0 of the original HTC ROM.
No bluetooth on Hero!
In my opinion guys if none of the developer haven't made a new application for it, just don't bother. Once i call at Htc costumer service and they tell me that: "the hero device can't transfer files or to receive, just for pairing with the headphones or ck
ar kit." I have tried so many application but it doesn't work for my hero. To bad! but i'm positive and i will wait for a new software.
yeah, can't transfer T_T. But i believe in future our developer will get it .
i read before in the upcoming update (cant remember the link) that they will enable bluetooth file transfer for certain types of filetypes
you can transfer over bluetooth now!!! with the leaked 2.1 htc hero rom!!
.. 1 problem you can only send pictures en audio files .. not apk. or system files

I have a 9090 bought in Dubai. I am now getting a bluetooth expired message and the imate help desk told me that I must get a ROM upgrade from the Qtek suppliers. Problem is that they all give a country error. Is there a patch for the bluetooth expiry problem? Is there a ROM upgrade that is open for all Qtek 9090s? thanks Bill
You may just try the BT upgrade to 3900 (file on FTP server) or try to correct the Country error with GetDeviceData.exe also on the FTP site plus the instructions of the other thread about upgrading QTEK
Joao Caldeira
Sorry, but the 3900 does not seem to work (at least out of the box)
Just tried it and started to receive that message.
Joao Caldeira
Someone has posted the attached file and said that it can fix BT license expired error. I have not tried it myself, so use it on your own risk.
To use it - extract archive to your PocketPC and run EXE file.
Thanks.
I'll try it as soon as I have my cradle.
Joao Caldeira
Hi.
No more License expired message, but I'm not being able to pair with my BT Headset HBH-660.
Maybe I'm doing somethiing wrong... I'll check it out...
Thanks,
Joao Caldeira
OK.
Paired the device. When trying to "connect" the QTEK showed failes.
Turn BT off and on and everything is working.
THANKS
Joao Caldeira
BT_key
I copied the two extracted files over to myQtek 9090 and opened the exe file. A list of BT addresses came up and a write key icon. When I try to select a BT address and write it, I get the following message: ResetMFG(). DeviceIoControl(). FL_IOCTL_BDK_OPERATION fail!
Am I doing something wrong - I copied the files into my documents on the 9090 and ran the exe file through file explorer on the Qtek.
Thanks,
Bill
BT_Key
Thanks. This solved my problem.
I was getting this message everytime I turned bluetooth on:
Sorry! Bluetooth can no longer be used because the license has expired.
BDA: 00:00:00:00:00:00

For some reason after a System ROM upgrade, my bluetooth device showed what it looks like a mac address as 00:00:00:00:00:00. This tool fixed the problem.
For anyone that is running into the Bluetooth License problem please try this.
DJ
Yes it does.Seems after upgrade BT have no mac adress so this "thingie" writes it down in some register.Any way done job for me.
Damn.. same thing happened to me today (
Reset time\soft reset not work
the fix when i launch i get "ResetMFG(). DeviceIoControl(). FL_IOCTL_BDK_OPERATION fail! " too..
Is there another way to set up a mac address? :O
Chooo
Upgraded to 3900... still 00:00... BDA and that fix program doesn't work!
Chooo
well in WM2003 rom they use old versions of the Bt stack thats why it shows license error
Ok.. but.. it's normal as answer? ^_^;;;
No mistaken.. thx for let me know this.. but danguard is already dead here in italy.. how the hell can i fix? I dont want to install a wm5, there isn't a way in registry to rewrite BT?
Chooo
The BT update worked for me.
FYI
I have tested 3900 and now 3500... nothing..
i want to try other stack,like this : OEM_WWE_160_600.sa.CAB
but.. how can i delete used file "audioGW.dll"?

I just want to give a short feedback.
I was experiencing the license-problem since a ROM-Update failed and my extended ROM was deleted. After hours of resaerch I finally found your post and I have to thank you very much! With this small file now everithing seems to work as it should again!
I can only recommend it to everyone with the same problem!

Is anyone capable of figuring out how to get the Samsung Video Editor (http://www.4shared.com/file/113347366/6d60fe6d/Samsung_Video_Editor.html) to run on a TP? I get an error message that a file is missing or that it's not trusted. I believe that the file is complete...not sure if there's another app that is needed for it to work... I'd love to have this working though

well if a file is missing then you need to post the dumped rom to figure out what file it is.
I know on an Omnia it works simply by installing the cab (so if there's a cooked RM missing the app just installing the cab would do it).
I'd love to have this app too. The ability to edit video, as well as the background audio, would be an awesome thing to have
i just flashed a new experimental top secret rom.
now when i try to use market, gtalk, or storm8 games, i get a 'missing android id' error and close.
when i nandroid restore to my safety net (freshtoast 2.1) i get no problems.
what can i pull from my freshtoast installation and push into my beta rom to fix this?
also it makes gps not work at all. grr
i tried pushing the build.prop from the freshtoast to the new one, with no fix.
I'm assuming that you know enough to be able to sign new roms and edit things in notepad. see attached. that is the line in my build.prop (highlighted) that I believe is the device ID.
I could be completely wrong though haha. Go into " super secret rom" and edit build.prop to make the device id = heroc and then sign it back up and it should be good. if not, well then i'm SOL and also very very wrong
I made it hero200 because I'm an idiot ill try this in a few .
Would this fix gps?

So I somewhat got Wiiremote support on the Vivid. I extracted the Bluetooth.apk from a Cyanogenmod rom.
1.) you need to have a odexed rom (I used rumraider b3)
2.) install the attached file by putting it in /System/app (i put it on my sd card and used root explorer)
3.) install Bluez IME and the HID addon (google it )
4.) follow the IME's instuctions and select Wiimote (HID) for the device.
known problems:
lights continue to blink, it's connected and won't turn off but the lights blink instead of show the 1
use at your own risk, this worked for me, no one else has tested it. Let me know how it works for you
Sry if this is off topic ,will this work for ps3axis controller

i'm not sure you can try? i don't see why it wouldn't.
The HTC Sense bluetooth apk is the "roadblock" for pairing the remotes. swapping it out should solve problems for all the pairing problems.
You know, I never would have thought of trying this on my own. I've got a bluetooth device that won't sync properly with anything stock on the vivid but I had GB ROM that I think used the telstra bluetooth stack that worked perfectly. Since going to ICS it had stopped working again but after reading this post I decided to pull the Bluetooth.apk off that old ROM and it works perfectly again.
Thanks for the tip.
Is this possible on the new stock ATT ICS rom? How can I backup or get the original installer for bluetooth on this rom? Thank you.

You can use a file browsing app like Root Explorer.
The Bluetooth.apk will be in system/apps. Mount system to R/W
move the original file to your sdcard somewhere.
And take the one posted in op's post up above.
And paste and install it in system/apps.
You need root permissions to do this though. Good luck.

It looked like I was able to just open the apk file posted and install it. Do you think this is possible? I didn't want to screw up my phone if I didn't have the original to replace it. Thanks.

it has to be put in the system apps folder because that's where the phone looks for the bluetooth support. also it needs some elevated permissions and isn't made to comply with superuser.
you can make a backup just in case
Had it sync fine the first time I tried it, and then my dad called and my screen off profile was too low so my phone restarted lol. Now I can't get it to sync again! When I Activate Bluetooth with Bluez IME selected I get a "pairing request," and if I choose it from the notification menu it says to enter a PIN on the phone and device (which I can't because you can't enter a PIN on the wiimote, plus the IME isn't touch input anymore).
My steps:
Activate Bluetooth
Scan for devices - Nintendo RVL-CNT-01
Select Device Driver - Wiimote (HID)
Select IME - Bluez IME
Anddd the wiimote just times out. Any insight?
try uninstalling the apk that you installed via installer (not dropping in system/app) if you haven't already
then maybe try reinstalling bluez IME?
i wish i could be more help!
Keep getting a "Disconnected: Software Interference" Are there limitations on a per-app basis as far as functionality is concerned?
I am hoping that someone with an Ativ S can download the "DiagnosticTool_Sprint" from the Windows Phone store and upload it here. It is available if you set "oemId=htc" in fiddler. I think there are some hidden pages we can use to interop unlock HTC.
Link:
"DiagnosticTool_Sprint" for Windows Phone http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=e69a2877-59b8-43ed-898d-554fbc4b8b2b
Thanks!
To be clear, you are asking that somebody download this HTC app to their phone and install it, then use the MTP full file system access to extract the binaries for reverse engineering? Sounds like a plan, if I could persuade my phone to do the full file system access thing right now I would (away from home, on my Surface RT right now).

Hi
first to download this app we need someone with a sprint device to grab correct url using fiddler.
like this one:
Code:
http://marketplaceedgeservice....................os=8.0.10512.0&cc=us&lang=en-us&hw=268473858&moid=sfr-fr/
this way we can have correct hw & moid value & install on any device...
@GoodDayToDie yup. that is what I am asking for. Based on what @thals1992 saw when he was playing with this on his 8XT is that depending on what dial codes you put in, the same app loads with different pages.
@xboxmod the only thing that needs to be changed to enable downloading from the store is the oemId. It needs to be HTC. I was able to download it to my T-Mobile Branded 8x (which Sprint doesn't even sell) with no issues. (it's moID is "null" for some reason on my phone after applying GDR3 and hard resetting)

I did manage to extract the DiagnosticTool_Sprint and it's now an unencrypted xap, the data.zip is all the files how I found them on my phone (with the exact path to the program and the appdata).
I will decompile The dlls and Look for hidden pages

@GoodDayToDie @xboxmod Apparently there is a capability called <!--Capability Name="ID_CAP_NVREADWRITE" /-->. Too bad it's commented out in their manifest :/ I wonder what it does? (besides the obvious, based on the name)
edit:
I was able to plug in my phone and Windows Updates decided to install drivers! I now have "HTC Diagnostic Interface (Com 6)", HTC NEMA Interface (Com 8)", "HTC USB Modem", and "HTC Remote NDIS-Based Device" (this one is currently Code 10.) Thanks Sprint! >
