Runes MMORPG is being developed for Android by Tiki Move, and it was available for a VERY limited time for alpha testing purposes. Does anyone by chance happen to have this apk?
Please?

Currently Playing Powder (fun rogue-like) and the port of Warcraft 2. Is there anything else out there?
You can try Age of Empires Pocket PC. It's a pretty good game in my opinion.
Anyone else have some suggestions?
Ancient Evil is like Diablo but not freeware.
Pocket SNES and scummvm (for old lucas arts games). Between the two of those emulators you have tons of good RPGs to choose from.
Here's a handful to check out:

I liked Space Trader, and I think I liked NetHack.
Hey, speaking of Powder, is there any way to minimize a game in progress in order to check email, make a call, etc.? It seems to hijack every button on the phone.
does anybody know if theirs a civilizations sid meyer game out for pocket pc or atleast a port like similar game? like how they ported warcraft and made that clone game? is age of empires similar to sid meyers civilization also by the way? civilization i consider one of the greatest rpg games ever for PC..unbelievable fun and realistic to start a civilization and make it grow into a super metropolitan city...so yea somebody gimme some input or info if u know if there is a game simlar or is that of civilizations.
I think some people confuse rts (real time strategy) with rpg (role playing game).
There is a Civilization clone out there, called "Pocket Humanity", but it was never finished and can be buggy sometimes.
CIV clone - Revival
There is a civ game out there. It's called Revival 1.0 and it's really good. Made by some russians. No link sorry, but you can find it over google.
rather than looking for games for PPC, why not learn how to port old PC games to the phone?
I can name quite a few old PC games that I would like to see ported to the small screen.
Are there any posts that talk about porting games?
(by the way: there's a game called "Broken Sword: The Shadow of Templars". I never played it myself but it's a RPG, and I think the plot is a bit similar to The Da Vinci Code).
Wolfenstein 3D
It ports to the PPC really well, seeing as it was wriiten in the days of 286 PC's

Here are some games I found. These games are not in the Market as of 1/17/09
As i find more I would add more. If anybody finds good games add them here.
Download links below:
REMOVED LINKS DO TO BEING WAREZ!!!
Please refrain from posting any more, warning1
EDIT: These are free. No trials I think. Some are unreleased games. I like the tetris its the real one from EA Games.
are thes e free or trial ???
I have tried monopoly and bejeweled and they seem free it mentioned nothing about an expiration or trial. Monopoly is very fun. With updated Property, Utilities and Rail Roads are now Airports, Properties Are much more expensive but so is all the money you receive. Basically its Monopoly for the 21st century.
only drawback is the game play is a tad choppy.
Great find! Thanks! Hey, I wonder what happened to the Quake/doom demo? There was a video showing someone at some convention showing a demo right before the G1 was released... One of those great apps. that never reappeared on the marketplace after the initial release. Then I heard someone saying that the java layers wouldn't provide adequate framerate for playing higher end games like that and that the Quake demo was made to play around the java layers. Also other types of emulation have to been very slow to make due to this including coreplayer which the developers seem to have given up on. But I guess my question is now that everyone has root access who wants it, can these types of applications and emulators be created to bypass the java layers and run a decent framerate? Anyone know or have any ideas?
I installed SIm city and the controls were very hard to use. Shame I want to play it but its to frustrating to play.
Yeah I see the quake demo in a video of android's beta stages but haven't seen it since.
First post updated.
I'm pretty sure this would be considered "warez"? Probably against forum policy...

Not necessarily maybe if the games were out on the market with a price than this would be "warez."
Guess what its not on the market and their are no prices on these .apk files as of 1/17/09.
So i would continue to share until I see these on the market with a price tag.
Thank you

They may not be on the Android Market, but they are most definitely not free apps.

This is a borderline issue. Since the market doesn't charge is it technically "free" for now? Is that site the makers of the games?? Are they charging for a free program? putting them in the wrong.
EDIT: Closing the thread do to the apk are WAREZ
Amazing.

Details:
Directed by The Purchase Brothers.
The Escape From City 17 short film series is an adaptation based on the Half Life computer game saga by Valve Corporation. Originally envisioned as a project to test out numerous post production techniques, as well as a spec commercial, it ballooned into a multi part series. Filmed guerilla style with no money, no time, no crew, no script, the first two episodes were made from beginning to end on a budget of $500.
Additional Notes:
Valve flew the team out to Seattle last year, and the brothers have been in communication with them since.
Derek Chan, and Ian Purchase are the two resistance fighters.
David and Ian Purchase are commercial directors represented by Sons and Daughters in Toronto. They are working on an unannounced feature film. Not HL related.
They have been huge fans of HL since the days of "ivan the space biker'
So, is this a trailer movie?
Or a new game will come soon?
I love Half life game!!
Updated original post with the additional info from the youtube page, amazing work.
I think is a new game coming soon

Indeed, a new game is in the works but this is purely a fan-made production. They sent this to Valve without prior notice and have been working with Valve since. Amazing usage of CG and even home-made outfits. The used to Valve/Source SDK and abused it.
One of the best CG creations I have ever seen other than the Elephants Dream 9 minute short made overseas all open source. (HL 2 thing isn't open source but check out Elephants Dream)
I spent the last 2 months coding this site and would really love some feedback. The game is based on MMA where you work your way up the ladder all while training and managing your fighter. You can have up to 5 fighters in your stable. Plus fighters age so that keeps the game fresh. No more fighters sitting at the top just because they beat you to playing the game by a month..
Its a free game as well.
Anyway, would love some feedback.

Thanks in advance
