I noticed on the Hermes page there is a HTC Home version 2.1 available for the Hermes that has been patched.
Is this available for the Kaiser? Noticed for a number of them it states uninstall previous version, but I dont really have the option to on my Vario 3.
I would like to know this too. Is there any info about it?
It works just fine.
So installing 2.1 the hermes version from:

Will be ok?

then you won't get much, everything here is ripped from other roms and updated to fix bugs or enhance the original design. The original HTC Home had many issues such as weather was only for Euorpe, the email link never opened the correct folder, it would jsut open whatever was last opened, and there were other issues too. Someone fixed those issues, repackaged, and posted here. HTC HOme 2.1 fixed the weather app to allow any city to be added to the weather XML file.
Note: HTC Home is an offical release, but slightly modify in ver 2.1 with help from some of the users here.
I dont know what I would do without the "self made junk" it all works fantastically!
Well I will be looking to install 2.1 tomorrow over my vario 3 htc home 1.5.
Hey, I have a novel idea, lets all show up, start posting, and insult the developers and cookers here (who absolutely kick the arses of the OEM developers) and accuse their intense and brilliant efforts as being "home made junk".
I bet we get A LOT of good advice and help!
ALL ABOARD!!!!!!!!!!
Ok. lets not fight.
Does it or Doesnt it work for the Kaiser. Has anyone installed and tested it?
Does it work properly? are there any delays (processing wise)?
Does it actually make a difference, do you see and feel a difference?
Would you recommend it?

1. Install on HTCHome Dir and With Brghtnes Fix for Hermes
or
2. Install on HTCHome with NO Brightness Fix
in my Kaiser Home 2.1 wil not install. Certificate Error or deny permission is the "error code".
Both on phone memory and Storage card
HELP!!!!
help needed, i have broken my htc touch phone...
first i downloaded the htc home v2.1 hermes cab and installed it , which all went fine but then i noticed that the brightness tab was working so i went and downloaded HTC Home v2.1 Directory And Brightness Fix and thats when things went really bad.
my phone rebooted and the screen turned off. when i plugged it into the pc after a timeout the screen came back on but if i touch it instead of getting brighter it turns off until it timesout again.
i un-installed both versions via the pc (although the UI didnt go back to the old 3 button tab home screen - still has 6)
this time a little better , screen does turn off when i touch it but it doesn't turn on either when i push the on button at the top until after the timeout.
dont know what to do now?

No idea what you did. Just back everything up without touching the screen and perform a hard reset. Hopefully you have an automatic installer when rom boots back to its original state.

This home version is probably cooked in the rom you're using.
Hello guys, i really need your help!
My phone is so strange now, i have been using Ultimate-X.V9 -21054, but in last days, my phone has gone to white screen some times when i press to screen up sometimes everything is fine, but others not and my phone sometimes dont respond to my touch, and sometimes is a bit slow
Now i have flashed to RUU_Kaiser_HTC_PTG_3.28.410.0_radio_sign_25.83.40.02_1.65.17.56_Ship, during the upgrade my phone stay on tree colors, but on computer appeared the status bar! and everythime i turn on my phone now is like 90% is allways white :O i have open my phone, and reconected all again, but the problem still there! im using 3.34 hard spl!
Please someone help meee... i really love my tytn2 is there any way to put this fine? its hard spl problem?
Please help me
Please help meee My phone now is more slow than normal :/
That happened to me a while back, I took it apart several times and checked connections etc. but that did not fix it. I ended up buying a new LCD off of ebay which fixed it perfectly. So, I would suggest doing that (I bought one for 15USD used).
But this to me seems to be a problem on the main board, because the phone sometimes gets really slows And sometimes that white problem appears and others not, like 90% when i need to use my phone
Flash Stock ROM?
Did you flash if back to a OEM ROM? Did it work OK if you left it on the OEM ROM? I have used "Kaiser_HTC_ASIA_HK_WWE_3.34.721.2" as a OEM to upgrade from on many phones that I had upgrade issues with.
i think RUU_Kaiser_HTC_PTG_3.28.410.0_radio_sign_25.83.40. 02_1.65.17.56_Ship is an OEM rom isnt? :x

dude the answer is yes go ask in the flashing for newbs thread, or one of the other great links in the thread i posted. maybe you should read better the rules about starting new threads because you are having a flash related problem that needs to be asked in a thread already setup to deal with flash related matters instead of starting a new thread.
have you tried pushing the hard buttons to get into bootloader? do you think MTTY may help your current problem?

Well, if is about the screen, i can say im safe :x
But one thing on my mind, the white screen i could say to change the screen to one new, but the problem is the kaiser stay a bit slow, and sometimes it dont respond to what i want!
With that stay thinking that the problem is about the mainboard or something like that :s but i hope the problem is the screen, i will buy a new on ebay
The ribbon cable for the digitizer (touch screen) attaches to the LCD, and then both signals feed through the same cable into the D-pad board, so its possible that there is a bad connection somewhere in the LCD/Digitizer assembly that causes it to not sense your inputs, even when the LCD itself is working. Mine just failed completely to a white screen and did not come back. It could be something besides the LCD..try flashing a new HardSPL and/or a different ROM, but if I had to bet, I would bet on the LCD.

P4k1t0, I know you're frustrated that you phone doesnt work, but do not get uppity at the other forum posters. If you sound off against msd24200 and a mod sees it, its likely to lock your topic.
i had the same situation two weeks back after i flash with my own cooked rom.
what i did is flash the stock rom through SD/storage card and everything is fine.
you already try this method ? you can search on how to flash from SD/storage card
to flash by sd card? ok ok i will try it right now to see
My phone's accelerometer (sp?) Isnt working right. It wont auto rotate in any programs. Also if im typing on the actual keyboard then when i close it the display will stay in that view, only thing i can do is lock the screen and unlock it again. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!!
Oh and I also forgot to mention that I am running on xRom 1.5.
When I had an accelerometer issue, I found a topic here and tried to do what they said, it didnt work. I ended up sending it in for repairs, and HTC fixed it.
Here was my thread:

Hey everyone,
My problems consists of:
- The screen/touch is off. I've done Screen Alignment, it works for a couple hours or so then it just starts to have a mind of its own again
- When I slide the keyboard out, the screen does not rotate, it's just frozen in portrait mode. However, responds to the keys I push on the keyboard, I've tested it by texting someone.
The ROM I was using was a Generic NAM R3A WM6.1 when this problem occured, tried to re-flash with the same ROM, no luck and finally a custom one (Touch X 10.8) and unfortunately, still no luck.
I've never dropped the phone or done any modifications to it. Am I doomed and will have to send the phone in for repairs or is there another way to fix all this?
Thanks

If I were you, I'd have it back in the shop in no time. But you will need to put back the original rom, otherwise your guarantee will be gone.
Good luck!
Don't forget to revert the SPL since you flashed it to hard SPL.
If You make a new topic then it's pointless to use not at all informative cries for help. It does not say anything about the problem you are having.
The title should say something about the issue so people who know something about notice it and can offer to help and people having the same issue later can find this topic.
Sorry, I'm new to this message board and not really around either.
Hi everyone...
I've been having problems with my Galaxy S since yesterday. After upgrading to XXJPM my display is rotated 180 degrees (completely upside down). Strangely enough, the touch interface seems to be working just fine.
For example, the "Phone" icon is supposed to be on the bottom-left of the screen. It is now displayed on the top-right corner (again, upside down) but in order to activate it I still have to touch the bottom-left corner right on the icon's original position.
The display is also rotated 180 degrees if I enter recovery or download mode, but the volume up-down buttons still function as is. There are times when the display will appear normal for a few seconds before rotating itself 180 degrees again.
I followed the installation steps to the letter, did everything properly, I even searched just in case other users had similar issues, but I still haven't found a fix yet (really sorry if I missed similar threads). I also tried calibrating the g-sensor, but that didn't solve the problem.
Auto-rotate works perfectly, but the screen is still upside down no matter which way I rotate the handset. The same goes for when auto-rotate is off.
Any thought will be highly appreciated. I'm also willing to make a small donation if necessary. I'm desperate for a solution

I did, but that didn't solve the problem. I think it has something to do with the bootloader since during startup the screen would show the normal Galaxy S logo correctly for about one second and then the display is rotated. Even the download/recovery interface is flipped.
The Good and the bad
Good news first: you are not the only one have this problem.
I have same problem after updated Nordic v. Froyo.
Bad one is I haven't got a clue how to sole the problem.
Let't belive ours has special talent which can jump twice more that ordinary ones.
try reflashing with one of the roms that has a bootloader included. search around not all do.. i know the jh2 for i9000m has bootloader..

Tried this, didn't work too. I also tried Tayutama Edition rom, actually it helps a bit. After finishing the sdcard scanning routine the screen would work just fine for quite a while before going straight back to being rotated. It is also still upside down during the entire boot process.
Found another interesting discovery. Still using Tayutama firmware, if I switch the Power-Saving Mode from Display settings off and on, the display will be reverted back to normal.
I wonder what's causing this issue in the first place...
Tried another fresh rom, still no improvement...
I attached a picture showing how the screen is upside down even in download mode. Notice how the USB port and the download mode triangle just don't match.
Any further advice would be highly appreciated

I'm glad you fixed your Galaxy S though. Quick question: did you have the screen upside down during the Galaxy S logo animation on startup?
It seems diffren kind problem
I am sorry that my solution did not work for you.
Mine did work few hours after down load Froyo.
Then problem began.
Have you tried factory reset then calibration?

Yes, I tried that and it didn't work.
Still trying different solutions right now, hope I can get a good solution soon
I have another Galaxy S in hand. The broken one still has its screen upside down. I was wondering if I can backup the bootloader and ROM of this new Galaxy S with the system working correctly to the broken one. Will that be possible?
As always, inputs are welcomed
Thanks wonbad!

Thanks! I had also problems with auto rotation, did even factory reset but did not start to work until made calibration you mentioned.
I've tried virtually anything to get the display fixed, including doing a complete rom backup of a healthy Galaxy S, and the display is still rotated. I think it really is a bootloader problem.
I took it to Samsung service center here in Bali. They said they can fix it, but they won't because I got the device in UK and I need to take it to a service center in the UK to get it fixed. Crazy...
A quick Note
==========
Just to make it clear, for any future reference, display rotation if shown when it is powered off and charging and also while booting, this is most probably a hardware issue, this can ONLy be achieved by replacing the LCD (or doing a hardware repair of the LCD) it has nothing to do with sensors or software.
Thanks.
