Does anyone know why windows marketplace is displaying this error message. "We encountered an error while trying to reach the windows marketplace server. would you like try again." It say this, but if I hit retry it lets me see apps available and navigate for a couple of seconds and then pops up again. It also won't let me sign in. any one have this working on they're fuze? I'm using NrG's 6.5 ROM, and it was cooked in. that one wasn't working so I downloaded another one off xda and that one isn't working. help please.
take a look here, it worked for me http://www.fuzemobility.com/cant-connect-to-windows-marketplace/
Worked great, thank you
I should of known this would be at fuzemobility site.

Make sure you have the '.' in front of the 5
.5.3.00
Without it this will not work.
Works great
As said, don't forget to put the first point ".5.3.00"
Mine is already set to that. What's the "Default" value? Min says "(value not set)".
cab
Here is a cab for it. I didnt make it but have checked and its safe
marketplace works on my fuze with no issues
Hmmm I'm getting this error, wonder what my issue is?
i cant purchase items from the marketplace via phone bill . any ideas?

I get that error too. Even after using the supposed fix cab on the previous page here.
It has to be the package and/or Windows build
I cook Marketplace in all my builds and it works just fine.
Tried it. STill not working on my Samsung JACK.
Running the official 6.5 upgrade... any thoughts?

Go figure. It started working tonight. Don't know what happened. I made no changes after I tried the registry edit earlier today. Just tried tonight, though, and it worked fine.
There have been times when mine goes in and out, it's sill kinda flakey on connecting but it's getting better.

No I know the reg tweak to hide them and I did that, both manually and through Kaiser tweak. The problem is after a little while (no har reset or anything) my phone seems to start showing them again. When I go back into the registry the value has indeed reverted to default. Any idea what the heck could be causing this
I am running a stock (ROM wise) Tilt. I do have some programs installed but other than Kaiser Tweak nothing I can think of that would cause this. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately I get a 404 error when trying to follow this link.
Anybody have any ideas what could be causing this?
If you're talking about the 404 error, the problem is because the link is bad, the link posted is exactly as it looks with the ... and everything. If you're talking about why your kaiser reverts back to showing the SIM contacts, it's because for some reason HTC decided to protect that registry setting, along with a few others people have found that aslo revert back after a reset. I posted a fix that NuShrike was nice enough to give me that resolves the problem, but I'm not sure what thread it is in exactly. If you do a search for hide sim contacts though you should be able to find it. If I find it though I'll post a working link to it.

Thanks much!!!!!
I've downloaded the browser via the website from within my Tilt and it downloads and launches fine... the program is great.
But when I close it, there's no indication of it anywhere in my phone. It's not in Programs, it's not even in 'Remove Programs.' I've browsed both the device and the Storage Card (where I had it installed) and it's nowhere to be found...
I've also went back to the website and attempted to reinstall it but the program recognizes the previous installation and then launches. But again, no luck with trying to run it later on.
I know a bunch of you have had luck, hoping someone has stumbled with this and found a fix.
Thanks!
Dude,
Opera Mini 4 is indeed a java application and you'll find it when you open up Midlet Manager (or whatever the java manager software is on the Tilt)in the Programs menu of your device. Start/Programs/Midlet Manager, then you should see the Opera Icon.
Hope This Helps
C.
Thanks! After looking in Tools, I saw the eJava icon and sure enough, it's listed in there like you said once I ran it.
That's what I get for coming from a non-WM set of phones... lol.
Glad to help! Don't worry everyone here has been a WM virgin at some point. I have to say it's very hard to give up once you get used to how the software works and also when it doesn't!!
take it easy

I"m using the Battery-Statue Today-Plugin and i started getting this notification that says that the program is freeware and i can continue to use it as long as i want. the thing is it pops-up about 5 times in a row and it has been doing it all day. Does anyone know how to disable this notification or make it not pop-up so often?
yup..i started getting it today...so ANNOYING..any way to disable it? im also using Duttys V4 rom
ha I just added a post at the end of dutty's v4 RTM 200 page thread about it happening to me today.
Me too!
Started earlier today and just uninstalled....
Anyone know of a diffrent one without the nag screen?
me too, it wouldnt leave me alone lol.
but everytime ill slide the keyboard or turn on the display it would tell me that.
check out the original BatteryStatus post

Opps, it probably not a good idea to have it inside our rom then ....
omg this battery status thing is horrible. Why did it happen to us at the same time. Weird stuff. Anyways, just hard reset and its worked for about an hour for me (so far). Otherwise it was every time i opened anything, turned the screen on, or slid the phone open.
ME TOO
Omg, me too! Just started today, does it all damn day. The link provided above, is it the same battery status in black/white that dutty always provides in his roms? Ive installed the program myself on schap's roms because he never cooks this in and the program is rainbow colored. I have a black and white theme so dutty's battery status icon is perfect, not the standard colored icon. Any help to make it like dutty's?
Hard Reset?! Talk about using an axe when a butter knife would suffice!
Ok, I am really not flaming. REALLY! Doing a hard reset for this just seems so extreme . . .
Simply reinstall it from the cab and "poof" all better. However, if it is date based (which would explain it happening on the same day) rather than based on a length of use, neither will fix it.
Anyway, we should support the latest build. Anyone have a link to find it?

I reinstalled the cab (BatteryStatusExt.1.04.CAB) and even tried the beta version (BatteryStatusExt.1.04.203.beta4.CAB).
Still get the pop-up. Must be some kind of easter egg type Y2K thing that the creator put in there. I can only assume it is set for Jan 31 since it happened to all of us on the same day. I am going to uninstall it and reinstall on Feb 2 and see what happens. So far I ruined 1 spreadsheet I was working on when the popup came up and I closed it and the excel closed along with it losing my worksheet with all my typing on it. kind of pissed me off.
same here.... getting crazy... will try new version

BTW, this is on my T-Mo WING, so you guys know its not Kaiser specific.
hi have installed the new version and it seems to be ok now
It happened to mine for a day or so and today it has not happened at all... well yet... maybe its just for a limited duration? I havent done anything special to stop it and while I dl'd the latest version I have not yet installed it (waiting to flash a new ROM and get my 8gb card in)... but it seems to have stopped... *touches wood*
has anyone successfully installed the new version on a ROM like Dutty's that already had the batterystatus part of the ROM and it has successfully removed the popup?

EDIT: found it with a quick search. For those who want it:

Yeah I just got the message yesterday also...it must have popped up at least 20 times.
Mine seems to have stopped doing it now... which is a good thing as it was rather annoying...
I reinstalled the latest release and the annoying nag has gone.
Replace the xml file in \Program\Panels\GooglePanel with this attached file or edit your own and replace all iexplorer.exe with operaL.exe
exelent work.

Opera was not meant to be available on the Xperia from the beginning - just in the last time of developement they decided to include it. But that is no excuse - the should have been able to make the panels use Opera even in that shorter time
This works great, big thanks!
Is it possible to do the same in messaging?
Everytime i open a link on my exchange account, failexplorer opens instead of opera.
Would be very very nice if you could change this to
Thnx, easy as pie, works like a charm!

shame as at least Vodafone were clever enough to get their panel to launch Opera by default for the webpages.

Thanks for the update on this...

This is the coolest thing to hit my Tilt in weeks! I can't wait to show it to my wife, so she can roll her eyes at me
I found a cab file and got it working. the site seems to have the .jad file
It works fine on my Tilt (and it uninstalled the previous version).
Why doesn't Google Maps Mobile have an auto-update function?
has anyone in the UK managed to get the Street View feature working. Ive tried to get some street views of london but I just get an error message saying "street view not available" :-(
no more cut and paste?
dunno if anyone else noticed but there is no more cut and paste with this release / sans iPhone functionality. I may have been in the minority of folks to actually use this feature, especially with goecaching and being able to just cut and paste the coords into the search bar and go..
Anyone know if its possible to have different versions of the same app installed on the same device? I tried renaming the google directory but that disables the app..
Very very nice. That street view is pretty cool.
I have installed this but cannot seem to be able to get street view... is this not available in the UK?
