Flashing Hard SPL problem - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development

i am trying to flash my new touch pro 2, I followed the instruction to flash the Hard SPL. However, when i run the Rhodium-HardSPL_V2_00R3 after connecting my phone to PC via WMDC, i pressed the automatic flash. Then i was told to press OK. after I do that. the phone went black and power off. It could not be turned on and the connection to PC is also down. I had to take out the battery and put it back again so that my touch pro 2 can be turned on. I initially thought my phone was bricked. I was so sacred. I checked the SPL was 0.84.
I am very new, can anyone help? Thanks!
My touch pro 2 is RHOD100

Can you anyone help?? thanks

First things first, welcome to this part of the forum. (= Tread carefully!
Secondly, did you follow all the instructions here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550131
Note the 'notes' after step 5 if you get a black screen.

thanks for your reply. I also tried to choose manual mode but the screen directly jumped to "PDA phone rom update utility". then nothing happened to my phone. Now i am very confused.
Sorry I am new, i don't know whether i should put this thread here. please advice. thank you!

Hi,
Please post in the Hard SPL Thread.
Thanks

Slowww wizard unable to sync

Hi guys, i've been around sometime in the "qtek" world and had owned some of them in the past, now i own a wizard and i expect to begin mastering the thingie..
The problem is that after some experiments i have this problem :
I think it is not bricked.. it boots the OS but it is so sloowww with stops everywhere, takes like 4times the time to open "settings" than before. and it does not turn the charge light on and is not recognized by usb port so it does not sync and i'm unable to re flash it..
What i did was to downgrade it with CUSTOM__RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE
and then i stick the AKU3.2-1.0RC1
It has been cid unlocked by me yesterday and was working fine with another rom..
I was thinking of entering bootloader manually and then somehow flash it..
Please Help
thanks !
i'm glad i solved the problem.. just entered manually in bootloader then flashed a original qtek rom and it fine now
thanks anyway, hope this help other people in this very situation
bye
cheers from portugal

You can't go from 1 to 3. Re-flashing a stock ROM was a good move.

This topic has been discussed in length all over the forum. But, here we go again. This will be based on you having a G3 device.
1. Make sure that your device is CID unlocked. if not follow the sticky thread at the top of this forum. and read through all of it BEFORE you begin
2. make sure that you have ipl/spl 2.x
3. Now upgrade to any rom you want.

How can i upgrade my ROM if i could not connect my phone to the computer! The main problem is that i could not syncronise my phone and my PC.
enter bootloader mode... press the two buttons (camera & voice command) while resetting the device. you should get a screen that's red, green and blue. from there you can reflash your device. if that doesn't work, your phone is bricked

Thank you!!
Could you explane me a bit more precise what does it mean bootloader and reflash? Does it mean that i can syncronise phone and computer when i have RGB on my screen?
When you've got your device in bootloader mode just plug it in and start the upgrading procedure
_Nomad_, thank you!
It works now!!

BRICK - QMobile, Orange, hard spl'd ???

....before anyone moderates my ass i wasnt sure whch forum was the appropriate one for a bricking!
****
My phone seems to have given up the ghost. A few days after having put on the excellent Q-Mobile system. My phone has refused to boot properly. Heres what happens:
In start up from Soft reset, or Power off, i get the tricolour screen saying:
KAIS130 MFG
SPL-1.0 OliPof
CPLD-8
a few2 lines benath that is written 'Serial'
it then flashed onto a white screen saying 'loading......no image file' - this all takes about a second.
And then it rests on the screen mentioned above.
I haven't dropped it or done anything other than flash- correctly.
AAAARGH! it does randomly decide to boot up properly after its been left of for a whil if that helps.
Also - active synch wont recognise it , in the tr-colour state.
HELP!!!
Phone now stable
wondering what the best thing to do is to get it back on track...
i had same issue read the link to my post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=352859
mtty worked for me then i reflashed its worth a try i guess

mtty is the way to do...you are not bricked...just take a few breaths and search the forums. When it happened to me, I had to use the BOOT command with MTTY. After it boots back up, run HARDSPL once again otherwise anytime you soft reset it will return to the bootloader screen.
thanks, but what is MTTY - i checked the posts and couldn't find it anywhere

Problem flashing rom

Hi,
Although this is my first post, I have been lurking for many years.
I have successfully flashed a Kaiser and a Diamond in the past so I feel reasonably confident.
However, I am having real problems with my blackstone. I have followed the instructions until point 5, when I enter bootloader it is showing 1.14000 etc - I then try to follow the rest of the instructions. It will go into the rom updater utility, the screen will go grey and show 0% but then nothing happens and I eventually have to go into recovery.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Caroline

Sounds like you haven't installed either HSPL or USPL before trying to flash rom.
I'd recommend going down the HSPL route. (Latest HSPL can be found in my signature). Once downloaded flash to phone then you are ready to flash to cooked roms
Hi,
Thanks for replying. I just tried that and have the same problem.
What have I done wrong??

Go into bootloader. If it says 1.14.0000 you are ready to go to step (5c). When you connect usb cable to pc does the text at bottom change from 'serial' to 'USB'?
Possible problems could be:
1. You haven't disabled anti-virus
2. Drivers on you pc need updated. Download step (1g) and go to (0).
If USPL is successful it should state SPL v 1.15.USPL in bootloader. If HSPL is successful it should state SPL v 1.15 OliNex
Hi,
Well after much swearing at both computer and phone, I managed to get the drivers updated. Many thanks Spartan, it seems that this was the problem as I am flashing Dutty's ROM right now.
Thanks for your help.

Stuck on bootloader screen!!! Help!!

I've been waiting for hours for someone to help me and I searched and searched, I can't find any help!!! I have to go to work soon and I've been on this screen since 7:30AM EST!
Looks like I'm stuck at the boot loader screen and it goes back to it when I do a soft rest. I can't do a hard reset since I can't turn off the phone.
I think it's the bootloader screen.
Says RUUNBH on the top right corner and the screen is red, green, blue and white which these codes or whatever.
Took the battery out for a few and it went right back to that same screen.
Can someone help me bring back my Rhodium to stock???
EDIT: I might of posted this in the wrong section. Should this be in Rhodium General?
*UPDATE*
ark666 found the stock rom for T-Mobile HTC TP2 and I did a flash to get it back! Thank you so much ark666!!!
Flash stock rom.
I have no idea on how to do that, I searched how-to's but I can't find any full instructions or where to get the stock rom for T-Mobile HTC TP2.
This is the worse ever!!! Somebody please!!!
Isn't this the best site for things like this?
Try a manual hard reset? The instructions should be in your manual.
It says while the phone is off to HOLD SEND/END key with the power until the message comes up. The phone wont turn off unless I take out the battery for me to do a hard reset.
EDIT: I took the battery out then put it back in. The phone is now off, I hold the buttons and did the hard reset. It went right back to the boot loader screen.
hi,
what happend after you hard reset the device?
regards,
twisted
Asked me to press the VOL UP button to reboot. I did and it went right back to the boot loader screen. A flash happened on the screen when I try a soft reset and it says really quickly!..."NO IMG FILE" then it goes back to the 4 color screen.
EDIT: Image below on how my screen is since 7:30 AM EST!!!
on some device, active the RUU, connect it to PC & press soft reset button (the one in side the battery cover).
don't know if it help, just try that
good luck
Thanks for the reply, but that was the first thing I tried. Looks like I will have to go to work with no phone! This is crazy on how this can't be resolved.
Looks like you've basically erased the flash I'd say...
If you can get the t-mobile image, then try flashing that back to the device... If you connect a usb cable to your device, at the bottom, where it says serial it'll change to usb...
Or, if you have a goldcard, maybe try installing another image. But I'd say you're best to install the t-mobile image if you can get one?!
Ok so where can I get an image that will work on my phone? I also will need instructions on how to do it properly.

Where are you from? Can you find the rom on your tmobile site?
Or, creat a goldcard, copy the RHODIMG.nbh into the root of the card and try flashing that...?
As far as I know, your device is not bricked, you simply need your original supplier rom...
I replied to the PM (basically do set 16 0 command in mtty)
but I see your photo now - you have 0.85.1000 SPL? that's mfg SPL so if "set 16 0" did not help (you didn't describe what you did to the phone when this happened), you can just take any official rhodium ROM and flash it
sorry if I misread your photo... quite blurry
Ok that's my main problem that I've been having. Where can I get an official Rhodium ROM and how do I do a flash? I've been searching all morning.
And yes 0.85.1000, that's what it says on the screen.
I tried to this ROM...Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=548546
Did the goldcard, but I think I did it wrong. I added the RHODIMG to the SD then tried to update my TP2. That's when I got an error saying it's not for PDA and how I need to update my utility.
I got the steps to do the goldcard correctly, I just want to take another shot at updating this ROM.

see my PM first, maybe set 16 0 will be enough.
is your SPL version really 0.85.1000? how did you get this phone? what happened when it got stuck on bootloader screen?
as for flashing, see xdadev wiki on rhodium.
Ok, will try what you PMed me. Brb!
It says 0.85.1000 on the screen so I guess so and I got it from T-Mobile. Ordered it through Customer Service.
post #15 has been updated to let you know what I was trying to do.

then the set 16 0 will work just fine
weird the rom didn't work though
I have just flashed the 6.5 rom which you flashed
It does change the spl to 0.85 and i have the exact the sameimage which you have shotted during the flash process. But the process of this rom's flashing has two stage, it will restart after first 10% and show up the image which you shotted and upload, and continue afterwards. i guess ur goldcard has the problem so it stops and stucked there. Try other sign roms would be a better solution.

I'm having the same issue. Trying to change the HSPL, get to that gray screen and it sits on 0%, nothing happens. I have an HTC tilt 2 with At&t
Also, not having any luck with the SSPL Manual instal on the device. I copy it over to the device, attempt to run it and the whole thing freezes.
same here, conencted, synced, and tried running the hspl file, get an error, d/led enablerapinew.cab, cant install it, winrar opens it up. havent tried manual mode yet, and i dont plan on it much yet.
Looks like you are having problems.....I would hard Reset it, then go here, http://rhodium.htc-unlocks.com/
Takes you step by step and if you get into a jam, he will help you out.

This has been the bible to flashing hardspl. Be sure to follow all the steps provided.
Which roms, radios are currently installed on the devices? Some additional info on the devices might be useful to aide in troubleshooting.
If all else fails do as Pumpiron has suggested.
Please post in the existing thread instead of creating a new one.
