Strangre situation! - XPERIA X1 ROM Development

Hi all
I did hard SPL for my X1 then updated to Energy ROM regularly, then I did stock SPL before I go back to original ROM 6.1 , now the device won't SPL anymore and won't ROM update, it just get stuck in bootloader and shows (Loading....)
Please any suggestions
I'm very desperate
Regards,
MK

Help please !!!!!

You shouldn't have reverted to stock SPL before downgrading to stock rom. Try to load hard-SPL again.

I did but still no response, still stuck on bootloader and only (Loading...) appear

So how is it done? Are you supposed to apply the stock SPL after you have updated with the original rom? I mean is good to know cuz i might roll back the phone one day.

Which hard spl are you using?

flash a r3 rom using mSD...should work fine

Make sure that you are either using the SD card to flash, or it is removed.
If agent's idea doesnt work, search for mtty.exe or drop me a PM. same thing happened to me and i was tripping balls

Problem with screen turns black (see this video)!

Don't know if others are having this problem with the screen fading black, but have seen it a couple of times on my Diamond, latest last night, I took the camera and filmed it.
Am troubled if something is wrong with my Diamond, or this could be the case of incompatible HardSPL
if someone's diamond came with 1.93 SPL originally, maybe this HardSPL based on 1.93 will work better than the olders. I have a report that someone has black screen with older SPL's.

This could be the case, was just wondering if others has had this issue, and if so how did you resolve it?

Did you try flashing your SPL and then Hard Resetting ?
That doesn't look right to me. I will upgrade to latest rom, if that doesn't help, I will send it back for repair.

Am currently running Duttys 2.2 though the problem also on latest stock rom, but only noticed it when going from HardSPL and back to stock SPL just dont know what SPL the phone came with, so maybe I have only treid the wrong ones.
Hmmm. I think that when you install a stock rom it will also reinstall stock SPL.

No that is not the case I an afraid, you have to install the SPL manually as a seperate installation from the ROM.

Will Hard SPL permanently stay even after...ROM Flashing/Hard Reset?

Here are my questions:
1) Will Hard SPL permanently stay even after...ROM Flashing/Hard Reset?
(I prefer it to stay because I don't want to reinstall after every new custom ROM)
2) If I update to ITJE's awesome Touch-IT V5 ROM, can I go back to the R2A firmware simply using SEUS? (Meaning I don't have to backup my ROM to revert back)
Thank you for your time.
yes to number 1 not sure about number 2

YES to number 1
No to number 2 *****BUT NO NEED****
****You can simply download your rom image from PavelsX1 ROMS Thread and flash with this one just rename it to KOVSIMG.nbh and copy to root MicroSd******
Hope i helped you
So are you telling me that in order to use SEUS to update to firmware R3A once it comes out, I would need to reinstall SPL (the original SPL)?
So...if I reinstall Stock SPL (the original SPL for warranty reason), will I be able to use SEUS to update to official ROM R3A (while my X1a is using Touch-IT v5.04)?

No, first you should go back to the Official ROM ie. R2A and then reinstall StockSPL in order to get the R3A via SEUS

the thread is currently closed but right now it's running so fast xperia and eveyrything I only dont know why for instance if I talk and my ear is touching the screen this notification tab always pops out or if I try to click on the battery status on the main page it always pops out do you get that too?
what a load if sillyness.
Yes SPL should stick. there's some instances where it may get overwritten by a stockspl I think, (if a released rom has a newer version) but it's pretty unlikely.
no you don't need to change the SPL to go back to using SEUS
It should allow you to flash the latest straight away, I've done it a few times. However if you want a specific locale or language version then it would be a good idea to flash the correct rom from Pavels thread.

Currently I'm using Touch-IT WM6.5 Beta 2.0, I've tried to get update via SEUS without get back to Official ROM or StockSPL, as you said, but it seems the SEUS didn't recognize my X1, my X1 just freez at the Bootloader screen & the SEUS just in the Identifying Process without any ending. And at the second time I tried it, the SEUS just freez at the "Follow the Instructions below" screen.
Are you sure with what you've done Fards?
im certain.
I've done it a couple of times now. some people seem to have issues with seus, even from stock rom.
have you got a different computer you could try it on?
have you tried putting the x1 in bootloader mode first to see if it makes a difference?
reading the 6.5 thread it seems some people are having issues with flashing other roms afterwards, so maybe that's connected, if so then try one of the released stock roms first ?

I haven't tried with another computer Fards, I was using my laptop which ever successfull upgrade my X1 from R1A to R2A using SEUS and even just for check for updates without any errors (I've done it a couple times when using official ROM). I'll give a try with another one if I've time, but I'm not sure it's my computer issue.
Certainly I'm always putting the X1 in bootloader fisrt before connect it to PC and continue the SEUS process.
Have you ever tried this WM6.5 ROM to get update using SEUS successfully?
Thanks for ur time Fards..

How to restore to original?

Hi there,
My brother also has an HD and off course I put a nice custom ROM on it
However, the screen is dead since yesterday.
I already put the original dutch ROM on it, but it shows a nasty green windows screen. I can't get any further beyond allign screen...
My question: when he sends his HD to HTC, they will probably won't fix it, because they can see it's HSPL (?).
So anybody knows how to restore to complete original, without getting into the phone with cabs? I put HSPL on it, the phone is 6 months old.
Any help would really be appreciated!!!!
Thx a lot

You can restore original SPL and rom without having to get into phone with cabs.
As long as you can enter bootloader screen you can restore stock SPL.
I came across this "step for step" process via a search. I have not tried it yet (and hopefully never have to -
How to reflash Stock/Shipped SPL - STEP BY STEP - FOR WARRANTY REASONS ONLY!
0. be sure to first restore stock OS, and stock radio. stock SPL is always to be done last!!
1. download your choice of a stock spl package (ie the original SPL).
2. also download the original hardspl from the attachments in this post. (I presume you already have this?)
3. run the hardspl exe but do not click anything in RUU yet. just let the hardspl EXE extract the files for flashing. (You can probably skip this step)
4. the SPL you want to revert to is a .NBH file, put the stock SPL NBH in the extracted hardspl package, overwriting the original NBH file in it!
5. continue with the RUU (or if needed, run SSPL-Manual.exe manually, then run RUU when it goes to tricolour 1.07.OliNex screen), it goes to 100%, reboots, done.
+6. to verify, enter bootloader mode, see version number on tricolour screen, should now just say 1.14.0000.
that's it.
+7. no worries: if your device is stuck in bootloader mode with Hard-SPL and you need warranty service, you can still flash stock SPL.
As I said, I have not tried this. If this does not work, search on this site or Google for additional info. Hope it helps.

The OP however says that they have already flashed back to the stock ROM, but that the colours are screwy. This needs the stock SPL restored as well in order to recover normal functioning (or at least so that they can send in for repairs without voiding the warranty).

note that; if you restore stock SPL 114 or 115 please download the same rom version for flashing.
ex: when you restore SPL 114 you must have ship Rom:http://rs68l32.rapidshare.com/files....479.3_Radio_52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship.exe
because the different SPL & Rom version will make wrong screen.

The process of restoring stock rom/SPL is only to be used if you plan to return device. If you are wanting to keep you you mentioned earlier then you would need to put either USPL or HSPL on your device first. I would recommend USPL for you as it would be easier to return to stock SPL afterwards.
Once you have rom on your device, DO NOT restore stock SPL afterwards. You only restore this if you plan to return your device. If you did you would have to go through whole process of putting USPL or HSPL onto your device again to flash another rom.
The phone has to be returned because of screen problems.
I will put SPL 1.13 on it and then flash the earlier mentioned ROM.
Then return to HTC

No probs. Out of curiosity what screen problems do you have? Are they Hardware problems or is it something else which could possibly be fixed through the assistance of xda users
It's the phone of my brother, he tells me that the screen doesn't respond anymore, so he can't get past the calibration!
I'll give an update when HTC fixed this (or replaced it )
Thanks for all the help!
I'm doing this right now. I had been using Dutty's V6 before. I never updated the radio, so Ishouldn't have to change it, right?
Anyway, I flashed the stock RUU_BlackStone_HTC_WWE_1.56.405.1_Radio_52.62.25.34_1.13.25.24_Ship.exe rom, and that went fine. I'm trying to flash the stock 1.13 spl, and I get error 202: connection. It thinks it can't see my phone, even though it does the initial connection, and even sees what version (1.56) of the spl is on there. Any ideas?
Ok, I did this: I put the phone into bootloader manually by pressing up when it boots up to get to the tricolor screen. That let me run the 1.13 spl pdate, and it said it completed successfully. However, when it boots ups, it still shows D:1.56 olinex or whatever. Did it not work?
Ok, acutally I think it did load up. The Bootloader shows SPL-1.13.0000. So why does it show:
R1.13.25.24
G52.62.25.34u
D1.56.00.00
Is this ready to send in for service?

As I have understood, first you have a "virgin" phone:
1) Stock ROM, stock SPL - can only flash Stock ROM
2) Flash HardSPL - after that can flash any ROM
If you need to bring it back to SE:
1) Flash stock ROM
2) Flash stock SPL - it is important to do it in that order, first back to Stock ROM, then back to stock SPL.
After getting your phone back from repairs:
1) You can flash HardSPL again, to be able to flash any ROM (both custom and stock)
ok thanks, if there is any problem i'll do this...

ok find it by myself....would 1.54 be recommend or later? or could you even post the url where i find this in wiki??
dont find it
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Blackstone_Rom156
have a look under the greenscreen section... 1.54 will just be fine.
Options if you have Olinex 1.14 HSPL installed then installed a 1.56 rom and now have greenscreen
* (Not recommended) Revert back to stock SPL (using Restore-SPL-1.xx from HSPL thread)
* Update HSPL to 1.56 (After flashing HSPL 1.56 your device will reboot and the greenscreen problem is gone.)
* Or Use USPL 2.5
or send me a PN i can help you via ICQ even in german.
