I had a old G1 and I used PdaNet on my Windows desktop pc perfectly fine. I ended up getting a new G1 through warranty and now my computer won't recongnize my g1 when its plugged in via USB. I can use PdaNet on other computers just fine but my computer won't let me anymore. I erased all PdaNet files and folders on my harddrive and uninstalled My G1 Usb driver and tryed to reinstall everything same problem. I don't have a router or a laptop so I cant do any form of tethering except USB.
Anyone have any ideas?
Or any other USB Tethering ways?
There isn't anyone with any ideas at all???
Thanks for the help guys..................

Hi i have problem, that i don't know how to solve.
I'm really new to MDA phones.
I got HTC diamond and i want to connect to internet via USB cable.
I got installed WMDC 6.1
When i plug htc in and make second option (to use cable as file transfer only, internet works just fine, because htc connect through Edge (wich i don't like it to do))
But when pick up choise to ActiveSync internet will not work. Synchronization works fine... everything looks to works fine... file transfering etc. but internet don't work.
(in WMDC i have got checked Allow data connection, when connected to PC, but nothing happened)
(tried almost all combinations in WMDC in connection settings)

Allmost the same problem
I have this to when connecting to my XP pc at home through usb cable.
I am not able to get an internet connection then.
(this is activesync 4.5)
When I connect to my VISTA pc at work, everything works fine, out of the box.
Any suggestions ?
I just got a tilt and tonight, at work, I plugged it into one of our machines through the usb cable. Don't know if it is relevant, but we run linux here at the office. IMMEDIATELY after connecting phone, my wired connection to the pc got killed. Have rebooted pc and still nothing. The network is not down cause i can connect to other pc's on the network, but no internet. Im sure it was the phone because I tried it on another pc here at the office to see if it is the phone, and immediately after connecting the phone to the 2nd pc, the internet immediately went down. PLEASE HELP! Any ideas to why it does this. How can I fix it? Thank you!
The problem has been fixed. What it does it corrupt the /etc/resolv.conf. No idea why it did this???? Any ideas?? I don't want to connect my phone to the pc until I can figure out why it did this? Thanks
When I connect the X1 via USB it charges the device but won't connect to either of the PCs I have tried.
I have disabled the Enhanced Activesync connections, changed from AS to external disk & tried the things that I can easily find.
Anyone got any ideas, I don't really want to send it away ?
Does your ActiveSync work?
Hi all,
I am having a USB driver conflict with my n1. Basically, I installed the usb driver that comes with the SDK, and everything is working fine, i can use the adb command and all, except my Wifi dongle.
yes, as soon as i connect my nexus one to my pc, my wifi dongle stops working and cuts my internet access off.
in the network and sharing center, the adaptor is still connected and working but the internet access is cut off
ty for the help i have searched but no luck
Any idea anyone please?
I made a thread on here previously about an issue I had with my phone not going past the bootscreen and finally got it resolved. The problem I'm having now though is when I plug it up to my pc with the usb cable, i don't receive a prompt on the computer for connecting the phone so i can transfer files. I've got htc sync manager installed, which I believe is supposed to install the drivers as well for the phone? I've turned on the developer options and enabled usb debugging, still with no luck. I know the cable is good because I can connect my eReader and it syncs up fine with the pc. What else could I do to get it to connect?
